I don't think I've "officially" posted this here yet, but...I'm now going to the Chickenfoot gig in Lake Tahoe! It'll be nice to see Tracie, Chris, Brian, and Debbie again, and bluebuffalo and his wife for the first time.
Will any other T2Jers be there? I don't know if we'll have a group large enough to top last year in Reno and San Francisco, but who says we can't try? :-)
As it turns out, this will be my 25th Satch-related show...awesome.
Igneousiceman - "I do rather like DoTheStu's suggestion"
Thanks...haha. And you can always go for something a bit more subtle, assuming you've seen the movie. Call the bike Large Marge or the Alamo's Basement or something...
To get back to music, I have the score album to Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. It's Danny Elfman and is pretty good.
cheese101 - "the webcast show wasn't done in San Fran, it was always scheduled for Anaheim"
You're right... I think the first SF show in 2004, or at least part of it, was broadcast live on 107.7 The Bone. Does that sound at all familiar to you? I wish that'd turn up as a bootleg somewhere, but I've never seen it.

Conch / Monterrey Trace - Thanks. Looks like number 8 might be on the way as well, one of E's best friends has been fighting for about thirteen years now. Every time they think they've stopped it, it goes quiet for a bit then pops up somewhere else. Years ago she was told she only had weeks/months to live but she fights on. I fear the worst now though because she was always a 'big' girl but the latest episode has put her to a third or so of her normal size. Not to put too fine a point on it she looks like shit, I really feel for her son who has spent all his life watching his mom fight an ultimately losing battle against cancer.
Edit, the battle continues though, she aint dead yet!

Hi Joe,
Awesome show last night in Halifax. You guys seemed to be having fun, it's contagious, the crowd were blown away. Chickenfoot appears to have a chemistry that enables each of you to go places you've never been before. I have everything you have put out to date except Chickenfoot, have to get that too; we dropped backstage after the show and just missed you guys - hopefully you were off to celebrate a triumphant return to North America!
Cheers,
Dan

CappySteve : - I really feel for you buddy.Cancer has taken several important people from my life. Do you think if Obama's closest were to be struck down with this filthy disease they'd soon find a cure? Or maybe there's just way too much money to be made in weapons and warfare!?!?!?

OH YEAH!!
Highway Star SMOKIN' Joe!!!
Halifax :)
Austin, I don't remember hearing anything about the first San Fran show being on 107.7 The Bone, but we were pretty focued on our plat experience. I'm thinkin if u remember it, then it must be so, lol!
Chelle, just whom were u calling Dottie eh????? You are a lone reed.....lol!!
Stalkers ain't nuthin to even joke about, really. Just ask Dime or Selena or prolly many others I can't even name. People are crazy and they do even crazier things. It ain't right.
Someone got a helluva bargain on the latest private lesson with Joe auction on ebay. I bid since it didn't look like anyone else was gonna bid, and woulda gone a little bit higher, but had to leave my puter just as the auction was coming to a close....and when I came back I was outbid by only $75. FFS!!!! IT WENT WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO CHEAP!!! But someone was majorly blessed and I hope they are beside themselves at what they get to do!!!
Cappy, so sorry. And what you say is probably the worst part of it all....the son, watching his mother have to fight that disease. She sounds amazing, bless her heart.

Chunky Monkey - You're bang on about weapons and warfare! It's absolutely fucking sick just how much of the world's resources are channelled in that direction. If all the major powers had a six month moratorium on weapons developement and put the money in a fund to find a cure for cancer I reckon cancer could well be history.

Happy Monday, T2Jers!
August must be the month for people of the EU and others to take what we Americans call a vacation and what is known in the old countries as "holiday." To me, this is the real thing because it means at least a whole month off to refresh and get new views of the world.
Only one thing to say about the rubbish of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage, Neal Boortz, Michael Reagan and other trash talkers poluting the radio airwaves with big flatulant mouths..........TIME TO TAKE THE GARBAGE OUT! Why enable these jerks by listening to their refuse?
I would rather model my life after Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Steve Morse and the other guitar brothers and sisters than listen to 2 minutes of flatulant rubbish on the radio! Nights with Alice Cooper is for me!
Someone's birthday is coming up 16 August........hmmm....I wonder whose? ;-)

Good luck with that day off!!!
Remember that guitar player Edward Box you saw performing at the alloutguitar booth a couple of years ago? (You know the time we met up with Clarky at the LGS) Anyway, like Joe he has moved away from the instrumental guitar thing for a while although he(Ed) has chosen the traditional two guitar heavy metal approach. HERE is a sample of his upcoming CD......

Good morning all!
Been a couple years since my last post, so I thought it was time to re-appear. I've been lurking about reading posts for some time now, just never had any valid input. Not that I feel this is any exception, but anyway....
Do The Stu: I will also be at the Lake Tahoe gig. I met a few folks at the Seattle 'road test' show, but didn't catch their names or whether or not they were members here. I do remember they were huge Sammy fans, so I'm sure they will be attending the Tahoe show as well.

bluebuffalo: I don't blame you for getting out of this place. I'm originally from Ohio, but work has moved me here. Every day I'm amazed that the wind hasn't blown this place off the face of the earth. I'll probably be looking to relocate in a few months, but may go no further than Boise. Amazing how much difference a 40 minute drive can make!
Although Oregon is beautiful to say the least. My fiancee has family spread around the Salem/Keizer area. We usually try to get up there at least once a year, then top it off with a day or two as tourists in Lincoln City.

I tired to stay awake to track that Halifax radio broadcast but failed miserably! They had the guys on for an interview before the set if nothing else.
Chad was suggesting how anything could happen... when he put forward the idea of throwing the drum kit around there was an immediate no from Sammy or Mike. Joe was backstage practicing....
Anyway, here's one from the set, introducing 'Crazy Drummer Girl'...... Soap on A Rope ... and here's Chad ignoring the plea about the drum kit (at the end) - Highway Star
Do The Stu - didn't realise Santa Cruz was the main locatoin for Lost Boys. Cool movie, not so keen on the 2nd one...
That's a mighty cool bass. Look forward to your response & video/email etc. It is a cool shirt isn't it - thanks Brian!
Blue Moon - CF gig in europe... ha ha. Or do you know something we don't?
Cosmic Ape - sounds like a cool career path. Hope it all goes according to plan for you.
Cappy - sorry to hear that, try and stay strong for those around you (I know it's easier said..)
Cheese101 - I think I got mixed up in what I was reading as yes, the webcast was definitely Anaheim. I got confused, but I is under the weather so it's easily done. Were you at the Webcast gig then????????? LOL
Satriella - good luck!
Igneousiceman - another holiday... along with the bike... money bags ;-b Have a great time
Mikesb - thanks for the Edward Box post. That's very different from the stuff I have of his (Sandy put me onto it), but I like it!
Right, I'm going back to my headache

Das wird doch nichts! Er soll vor dem Kamin verweilen und sich n Drink machen.
So far:
"Ein gutes Gefühl, wieder in einem Formel-1-Auto zu sitzen, auch wenn es ein altes Auto von 2007 war, mit Slicks, die in der GP2 verwendet werden - damit hat man natürlich keine echten Anhaltspunkte. Aber ich konnte schon nach einigen Runden wieder konstante Zeiten fahren. Und mit der Bestzeit, 1.23,736, bin ich auch ganz zufrieden." Who cares?
