Daddy's car in the woods?

Little Johnny watched his Daddy's car pass by the school playground and go Into the woods. Curious, he followed the car and saw Daddy

And Aunt Jane In a passionate embrace.

Little Johnny found this so exciting that he could hardly contain

Himself as He ran home and started to tell his mother.

'Mommy, I was at the playground

And I saw Daddy's car go into the woods with Aunt Jane. I went back to Look and he was giving Aunt Jane a big kiss, and then he helped Her take off her shirt. Then Aunt Jane helped Daddy take his Pants off, then Aunt Jane...'

At This point Mommy cut him off and said, 'Johnny, this is such An interesting story, suppose you save the rest of it for supper Time. I want to see the look on Daddy's face when you tell it Tonight.' At the dinner table that evening, Mommy asked little Johnny To tell his story. Johnny started his story, 'I was at the Playground and I saw Daddy's car go into20the woods with Aunt Jane. I went back to look and he was giving Aunt Jane a Big kiss, then he helped her take off her shirt. Then Aunt Jane helped Daddy take his pants off, then Aunt Jane and Daddy started doing the same thing that Mommy and Uncle Bill used to do when Daddy was in the Army.'

Mommy fainted!

Moral:

Sometimes you need to listen to the whole story before you interrupt!

I'll be spending all of next week (Sunday thru Sunday) on the St Paul, MN area, business trip but I will squeeze in a couple of vacation days while I'm there. I don't think I've seen any MN forumers other than SuperSwingDog, but if anyone has recommendations of stuff to do I'd appreciate it.

. One thing I will do for sure is drive up towards Duluth and hang out by the lake, I like Two Harbors a lot in particular.

I need some quiet time to clear my head of all the negative thoughts and things that have been happening to me recently... Next weekend it will be 2 months since I separated from my wife of 8 years...it has not been easy but life goes on.

I swapped the pups on my crappy Ibanez... Of course I forgot that the cheap stock pups have different color codes for their cables and I used a better switch, too... Needless is to say everything was upside down!

Now, off to class and then hopefully I can go get rid of this thing...

Hi Everyone,

I thought I let you know how that 10K Run went for me last Saturday. I was 7th out of 145, and 2nd in my Age Division. My time was 37 minutes and 39 seconds, which is my personal best. I finally shattered 38 minutes! My next run will be on August 1st, which is another 10K. I guess I know what I have to do for that run.

My work is going all right. I have today off, but I'm on call. We have a wedding reception tomorrow night and I have to bartend. Then I work Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday mornings for breakfast.

Skippygirl: What is happening? Three races in a row and I get my personal best in all of them. IT IS WORKING, IT IS WORKING!!!. Last Saturday's race, my mind was saying break 38 minutes. I guess now I have to say break 37 minutes. Hopefully I'll be able to do a marathon by the end of the year. I have ran more than two hours nonstop a number of times. There is a couple that are happening? You think I should do it? By the way, my next run is on August 1st and it's another 10K. Please wish me luck.

Do The Stu: How's it going with you? Glad to hear that you're okay from that earthquake. What else is happening with you?

McDave, Michelle, Cheese101, GoldenGirl2, Guitarman77897, Burly, Cosmicape, Zinc Master, Hybes, Punkdude75, Elpp, Satriella, Pip Satriani, Igneousiceman, Fatape, Dream3, Ozzy Fudd, death cube k, Guitarvibes, Blue_Moon, and everyone:

WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!!! I hope you are all doing well. How are your families, work, and everything else going for you? By the way, I am also looking around for another job that will go along with my prior hotel job (just as long as it does not interfere with my running). I know a few places are looking for someone so that's why I'm applying.

As for my running, I am hoping that I will do a full marathon this year. I have a couple of them lined up to choose from. I just hope I am able to do it. I have ran more than 2 hours nonstop a number of times. Should I do it or not. You all help me decide because you all rock!

By the way, I went grocery shopping at Meijer and they were selling Chickenfoot's album for about $20. Another store that was selling it was Barnes and Noble for about the same price. I'm glad I got mine from Best Buy already for less than that.

One of my friends/coworkers has started his own guitar business. I visited his store a couple of times and it's going really well. I'll post the link sometime so everyone can check it out.

Well, I better stop now. I have a couple of errands to do and then hopefully I can chill out by the pool and catch some sun.

Joe: Hope things are going well for you and for Sammy, Michael, and Chad. Keep up the excellent work you all do.

See ya everyone!

Happy birthday to Galen Henson!

Rolling Stone: Eddie Van Halen recovering from hand surgery

I hope he gets back to 100% quickly and everything is fine. And I know I give the guy a hard time, but first it was "Wolfie has to graduate", then "I'm getting married", and now "I just had hand surgery". I want him to be OK, obviously, but I also want him to make new music without these interruptions that just sound like excuses...

Everyone who is having trouble with the Vai DVD promo, try again. I let it load fully before I watched it (and it also sat that way for about 15 minutes while I did other stuff first) and it played fine. So maybe try that? Here's the link again:

Pip Satrini - Yeah, I've been through a few earthquakes, but I've missed the serious ones (I didn't live in California during the 1989 San Francisco quake or the 1994 Northridge one).

Bigger ones (big enough to feel) happen every few months...the last one like that in the area was the day of the Chickenfoot show in LA, actually. But I was driving at the time, so I didn't feel it.

And I agree about the PSATMOR set...I wish those songs you mentioned didn't go away for the US leg. Oh well...

elpp - I had the LTE box set shipped to my parents' house...actually, my dad called yesterday to say it arrived. I haven't decided yet whether I'll have him mail it to me or if I'll just pick it up next time I'm at home...but I did save your old email and yes I'll save the duplicate disc for you.
elpp - You should go see the Mall of America while you're in MN. You don't strike me as the type that loves to shop, but this is one of the largest malls in the US so it's worth seeing just for that.

And I don't think it's your kind of music (it's not mine), but the Vans Warped Tour is in Minnesota sometime in the next week or so. I'm not sure of the date, but a friend of mine from Minnesota is flying back there for the gig. If it happens to be while you're out there and there are a few bands you like on the bill, it might be worth going...

Glitz Man - Congrats on the run...7th place is great! What time does the top finisher have? How far off are you from that?
Listening to: Hootie & The Blowfish - Drowning

I don't know how people here feel about this band, but Cracked Rear View is a great album...

...Austin...

GlitzMan: That is a great time, you're on the right track now!! Best of luck in future races. I'm returning to the soccer field later today, the running I've been doing recently was more speed than endurance, so I'll probably take a couple of sprints and pass out!!! jajaja. And as far as the personal stuff, check my previous post, it's 3 posts above yours. Enjoy that pool!

Austin, thanks for the news on the CD (I'll e-mail u shortly) and for the suggestions, the mall is on the list because my son knows that it has a Lego store, he'd kill me if I come back without a Lego gift for him!!

I've been checking out concerts in the area and didn't see that one, so I'll take another look, so far the closest thing I've seen to what I enjoy is a 10 band metal show on 7/31, I'll probably go to that one. Obscure bands like Poison the Well, Terror (which I've seen), etc.[br

Austin- Well thats news to me(other 2 set shows),...the shows ive seen (4) ITLIS an evening with clearly outshined the other shows as far as amount of songs and what songs were played(1 big set, no break).. during the mid to late 90's i was caught up in a relationship that tossed my guitar and all thing related aside....when i came to my senses, ITLIS was released...and i was back...especially after ending up with the best seat in the house, meeting Joe for the first time, signing my guitar...and being the cool guy he was....inspired me to restart my guitar playing (pics i took are posted Here by the Webmaster).....and his influence has been such a positive force, it has brought me to levels i though i could never reach...then of course, going to SF to see Surfing, and Chickenfoot...well Joe has made it easy to be a fan of his. Disappointingly, I missed the releases and tours of EOC, SBM and Crystal Planet.....so if theres anything worth sharing from those tours....Im all eyes and ears!

Do The Stu: The winning time was 34 minutes and 9 seconds and second place was 34 minutes and 12 seconds. Glad you asked. There is a list of runs on our local track club website at fwtc.org. I'm a member of the club for almost four whole years. Check it out if you like.

Zinc Master: Good luck on the run this weekend. There is a run I was planning on doing, but I am needed for work that evening.

Elpp: Have a safe trip. Listen to some Joe & Chickenfoot while you're traveling.

Punkdude75 & Do The Stu, Zinc Master, and Elpp: Thank you guys for the praise.

Going to the pool now. Talk with you all later.
