<Yawn>

Morning! Got to get out of bed and kit up for the game against tuggeranong old boys. Will be a tough game, they are high on the ladder and have the league top scorer.

I think we'll go with a 4-3-3 in attack and transition back to 4-5-1 in defence to pack the midfield. Wish us luck.

Hey Joe (and fellow fans)!

Didn't know if you'd be interested, but my brother (Drums), Dad (Bass) and myself (Guitar) did a cover Echo that came out pretty decent! Thought you may enjoy hearing it!

http://guitarch.com/music.htm

Thank you for all of the great music, inspiration, and epic live shows!

Thanks, Adam Law

Yesterday I returned to the soccer field...finally!! after a year of not playing. We lost, got drunk afterwards, came home and started to write a post, 3 hours later I woke up lyin' on the floor, computer's battery had died...guess it was T2J drinking night last night!!! No beer tonight as I'm traveling tomorrow and it wouldn't be wise to travel with my boss, hungover...

Skippygirl: At this moment on TV they have Sunday Football, looks like from New Zealand, the St George Dragons (in red) are playing the Warringham (?) Sea Eagles (in white), looks like the name of the league is the Premiership (this is painted on the field). Can't imagine Mexican soccer being broadcast on over-the-air television in Australia, so to be able to see these matches here is surprising in a good way.

Ugh...it's a million degrees here and my apartment doesn't have air conditioning.

njbeast - No, Joe's pnemonia was in late 2004 (as Tracie pointed out). I know reactions to him have been mixed, but I would LOVE to see a G3 tour with Robert Fripp here in the US. Hopefully it works out some day...

Are you sure Joe played Lifestyle in Europe? I wasn't aware that that one was ever played (I Like The Rain, on the other hand, was also played on his tour opening for Deep Purple in the US after the European tour)...

The Souls Of Distortion has never been played live, as far as I know. That one is on my list, definitely. And actually, I wouldn't mind hearing Chickenfoot back that one...

cheese101 - Your memory is good...EXCEPT we met at the SF shows in 2004, not the make-up shows in 2005. ;-)

I remember standing next to Chris when a "fan" made his way up front during the encore break and pulled Joe's mike stand down into the crowd so he could grab a pick. Mike Manning was as pissed off as I've ever seen him (tensions were high as Dimebag Darrell was just killed at a gig a few weeks earlier, but this kid was a jerk and deserved the words he got from all of us).

michelle - I know you said you don't remember much, but memories are fun...is there anything you recall from your first few gigs? Anything at all? G3 1997ish, maybe?

"AdmiralPerry Just landed in Vegas headed over to wish Slash a Happy BDay."

Did you hear the story of how Slash gave (well, returned) his classic Les Paul to Joe on his 50th birthday a few years back? It's a cool little rock and roll story...

It's the guitar Joe used on Walk This Way and a lot of other classics in the 70s, but he sold it for drugs when things got bad in the 80s. Once Aerosmith got clean, Joe started looking for the guitar again. One day Brad Whitford opened up a guitar magazine and saw a picture of it...in Slash's possession (it was also owned by Eric Johnson at one point). You can see Slash playing it in the November Rain video...

Joe bugged Slash for the guitar over the years, but he wouldn't give it up. Fast forward to 2000...Cheap Trick is the house band at Joe's 50th birthday party. He gets up to jam with them, and is handed this guitar by a roadie, as a gift from Slash.

axeshredderjc - Wow...your photos are great! I haven't seen many good shots of Matt, but you and Mari each have a few there. Very cool...

I can't wait to see what you get of Chickenfoot...

aclstrat - Cool cover...thanks for sharing. I like your intro.

Ahh well. We were at 0-0 the whole game. But conceded a goal at about the 70 min mark and couldn't equalize. Oh well. Great fun though.

elpp - that sounds like our rugby league, which is the main footy code in New South Wales and Queensland but in the rest of the states our main code is Australian Rules Football. I don't follow the rubgy even though we do have Melbourne Storm in the league.

I mostly follow Richmond Tigers in our AFL and Melbourne Victory in our national soccer league.

Well done on your soccer return.

Hello dear Satch friends, hello Joe!!

In first place hope everyone is ok.

I went to Madrid to see Chickenfoot and no concert. No luck this time but MAdrid rocks, what a lovely city :) !

In 6 weeks my daughter has come to this world. Yesterday i saw her for the first time in colours on the Doctor. So cool!! I`m so happy :)) !!

GOOD NEWS:

My first EP From the Heart - Songs for guitar is available now!! I`m waiting for the record from the factory but the cd is available. Soon the paypal link on my website is available too :).

Check it out the flyer and the cd cover:

http://www.alexandrecaetano.com/en/index.php

The cd contains 4 songs from my demo but with a real good drummer Mauro Ramos (Ex-Blister, Gonçalo Pereira, etc,) and that was mastered by the amazing Gonçalo Pereira + a videoclip.

Thanks a lot for your support trough the years :). This communitty means a lot to me ;) !

Joe hope you have good luck on tour with Chickenfoot and hope see you soon in Portugal and in Spain. I think that we deserve that ;) !! I got the record on Ebay, good classic Rock :) ! Great sound!

One more time hope everyone is ok, much much love, i miss you all and talk to you soon

Austin, yer correct, we DID meet at the 2004 San Fran show, but it was pretty brief...we talked for a bit outside that first night but we had plat tickets and were all nervous about meeting Joe so it's hard to remember much, lol!! I think we chatted the second night too but that was cold and rainy and windy...we stood in line for HOURS for that second show and a habit was born, LOL!!

Yeah, I remember that guy, omg Mike was soooooo pissed and WE WERE TOO!! How dare he do that to Joe!! Do you also remember the guy with the backpack? I forget if it was the first or second night, but some guy behind Chris kept sticking his backpack on the stage right in front of us, blocking our way...plus again, as you said, it was right after what happened to Dime so we had no idea WHY he was doing that. Chris kept sticking it down on the floor and the guy would grab it and stick it back on the stage...Chris got so pissed that he finally tossed it over his head back into the crowd...unfortunately for the guy, his pack was open...oops! Stuff went flying and he was pissed but then disappeared after he gathered his stuff up. I remember Joe quickly moving right in front of us when Chris threw the pack and some shoving started...even with pneumonia he tried to calm things down, lol! Awww....sorry bout that Joe, but Chris was feeling very protective of you and worried what the guy was doing. I suppose you've prolly seen worse at some of yer shows.

As for the temperature in yer apartment Austin...have you seen the movie "Knowing" yet? Ermmmm, mebbe we should all be skerred?

Slan, fingers crossed for yer hard drive, I hope they recover every drop of data =|

Alexandre, it's so exciting, waiting for your daughter to arrive, eh? I hope, if you can, you'll share pictures after she arrives :) Congrats on the EP!

Listening to Chickenfoot "My Kind of Girl"....

Skippygirl - So did you get to hear Chickenfoot on the radio? I tried to lislten but the stream wouldn't work for me...not sure why.

And there are two T2J CDs out there...Satchurated Feedback is the first one, Echo is the second one. SF came out in 2004, I think it was?

elpp - I doubt it, but do you get US soccer games (MLS) on TV where you live? I was watching a game yesterday at the gym (Seattle and Chicago, I think it was) and both teams were horrible. I enjoy the sport, I really do, but it's so hard to get into it when the people playing just aren't very good.

Does anyone elsewhere in the world get MLS games on TV? What do you think?

aftershock84 - Hi...welcome to the site! Tell us a bit about yourself... What are some of your favorite Satch songs? What other music are you into?

And yes, there's at least one Irish fan here who was at the Chickenfoot gig. His name here is Blue_Moon...he'll be around shortly, he's probably hungover. ;-)

alexandrecaetano - Good to see you here! Thanks for the update, and your email...
cheese101 - Yes, I remember that backpack guy too...argh. Some people just don't have a clue, do they?

And no, I haven't seen Knowing...I'll look for it next time I'm at a video store...

Pip Satrini - Did I ever reply to you about your Rubina cover? I know you asked me about it on Twitter a while ago... I thought I said something on T2J before then, but maybe you missed the post (or maybe I never said anything).
bluebuffalo - I saw Kiss on the original lineup's farewell tour in 2000, and it's one of the coolest shows I've been to. The amphitheater they played at in Sacramento had just opened, and I was able to score some great pit seats as a result.

The band has turned into even more of a joke since then, but that show was a fun one.

Listening to: U2 - No Line On The Horizon (current song: I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight)

This is my.........second time listening to this album. The first would've been right when I bought it, back in March. I think it sounds a little better now than it did then, but I still think it's U2's weakest... What does everyone else think about it?

...Austin...
