You guys ROCKED Myrtle Beach!! Don't know where you found DK & BDS, but glad you did! My husband introduced me to your music many years back. We listened to your music quite a bit on camping trips. He passed away in January '07, and I used "Friends" as background music for a video of him at his service--very fitting for an amazing man! Love the stories about your music on The Electric Joe Satrianai-An Anthology. Suffice it to say your music has alot of meaning for me as well.

Awwww just finished reading a biography of "Queen" .... do you realize its been almost 20 years since Freddy Mercury died!

20 years!!!

Anyway....when he was on his last legs the others had to wait for a call to say he could do a bit of work then all rush in to him until he couldn't do any more....during one break...only one month before he died Brian May did Seville 92 (which was actually in October 1991) ...it gives a list of the guitar players listing Joe Satriani last but then says ... who went on to become the best guitarist in the world!

Oh yeah I would agree with that...

There is a quote from Joe who says that they thought it was awesome to have Brian with them especially when he picked up his guitar and the "Queen sound" came out.

PTRocker - least favourite album...er....hard to say but I suppose Crystal Planet is the one I play the least...oh and back to the trying to get into something...I still cant get into Hendrix ... I try every now and again...but his voice immediately puts me off...which is annoying!

Do the Stu - I suppose the adrenalin keeps you going while you are doing the tour...then when it all stops you look back ...think.."how did I do all that"...then collapse!

Zinc - HAHA rottweiler called Jesus...that did make me laugh!

Hope everyone...er...I think that would only be in the UK...had a nice bank holiday weekend!

My decree absolute came through on saturday (only 1 year and 6 months waiting)...YAY...I'm free at last!

Hugsyamuchilous!

Sir Satriani- i used to introduce you to eaqch of them who know you as 'Sir Satriani', because, in my opinion you the master of all guitar players and i also do not utter your name without 'Sir'.

i always pray to the creator to give me chance to meet you obviously in heaven for listening your playing guitar-particularly blues. i like your style of playing and that you do not sing.

i wish you long live in this planet with healthy physic and mind so that your creation can go on and on and on and so on...

thanks for approval.

Skippygirl - Yes, a few of us are getting together before the Lake Tahoe show. I don't know if we've worked out all the details yet, but Tracie, Chris, and I (and maybe bluebuffalo and wife, if they make it in early enough) are planning on eating at Sammy's Cabo Wabo restaurant on Friday night.

We'll be spending most of Saturday in line (along with Mahavishnu/Brian and his wife)...I can access Twitter and T2J from my phone, so I'm sure you'll have plenty of updates.

And there's still time for you to catch a flight out here, by the way! ;-)

turbo236 - Have you worked out all of your Lake Tahoe plans yet? Send me an email (check my profile here) with details and your phone number...if nothing else, we'll at least have to meet up in line and say "hello"...
burly - Oh, I must have misunderstood you...I thought you said they didn't do Highway Star in Atlanta. Or maybe the solo was just different? Oh well...the DVD will soon show/tell all! ;-)
minimoog - We don't have an official release date yet, but I think "fall-ish" is a safe assumption. Any later than that and it'll be about two years old by the time it's finally released.
Listening to: The Killers - Hot Fuss (current song: All These Things That I've Done)

Michelle:Glad you got something out of our first chat! I am honored to have played even a small part in adding the word 'Meatbats' to your vocabulary!

elpp:Good to hear you are enjoying the Meatbats too! I am really surprised nobody else had posted that link sooner (to the pre-order). Like I said before, I am the master at posting old news around here it seems!
I pre-ordered mine without even listening to any of the songs just because of the autographed booklet, but once I got that taken care of I went back to the Myspace page and jammed for a while, pretty good stuff!

Guitarvibes: I couldn't agree more about Neil Young .. I don't have the entire Unplugged album, but I do thoroughly enjoy the tunes that I do have. My favorites being Like a Hurricane and War of Man (from Back to My Roots). I can listen to those on repeat for days at a time. Just as you said, he is very comforting.

EDIT:
Do The Stu: As of right now I am leaving Idaho Friday morning, spending the night in Winnemucca, NV, and heading in to Lake Tahoe on Saturday. It's probably a long shot, but I am going to call the hotel I'm going to stay at in LT and see if I can just drive straight through on Friday and maybe try to meet up with you guys for dinner.
I'm not very good at staying awake while driving, so that's why I planned the overnight in Winnemucca... yada, yada. I'll email you if the details change.

Ian

South Dakota Indians

It's late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in South Dakota asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.

Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like.

Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.

But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?'

'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded.

So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared.

A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?'

'Yes,' the man at National Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.'

The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.

Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?'

'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.'

'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked.

The weatherman replied, 'The Indians are collecting firewood like crazy.'

Remember this whenever you get advice from a government official!
