great bunch of friends you got there michelle. sounds like they had a blast in Tahoe last night. the people who were in front of your peeps in line were probably people we know. whenever there is a show we start the lines no later than 10 am! we got a call from the show front row, also but only got one song, Down the Drain.

Cappy: i know how you feel. without a lot of whinning or a long story, our last two years have been incredibly shitty. went through bankruptcy shutting down my business, unemployed now for 10 months, not looking too good for the rest of this year or beginning of next either. life is hard but the alternative is worse. keep your head held high, be honest with the family and keep plugging the best you can, its all any of us can do. oh and i've found Chickenfoot helps alot!

cant wait for the rest of the Tahoe reviews!

OMHFGADDAMN!

The Tahoe show was completely OFF THE HOOK!! The crowd was completely nuts the whole night. We got in line at noon, draggin a cooler behind us fer the long wait...and there was only one lady and her husband in line ahead of us, they'd been there since 11:30. They were a kick in the pants, Sammy-lovers but more than willing to learn alllllll about Joe. Drinkin beer all day and makin friends with the security guards, they were good peeps to have in line with us cuz they were FUN!! And dint take no shit offa NO ONE, like me, when it comes to that damn line! Plenty of line cutters and security no where in sight most of the time, but when it came time to let us in, they made SURE us early birds went in FIRST :) Pays to stand in line all day cuz if we dint, we'da been even farther back.

I had like 5 sequoia tree-people right in front of me to the right, so barely could see Chad or Mikey all night, but got to see Sammy cuz he bounces around, and saw lots of Joe :) But lemme tell you, THIS show had the most retarded idiots I've ever seen at a show! Gad dang! I lost count of how many people tried to push their way to the front...but we wuz a wall of bricks, HELL NO!!! During My Generation one complete IDIOT started bouncing around like a demented ping pong ball and didn't care WHO he took out! He landed on me so many times I'ma be crippled....we finally got him ponged off in another direction but shit man!! He stomped and smashed into a lotta people before we lost track of him! IDIOT! Prolly just drunk outta his gourd....

But oh my GOD was this show crazy good!! A few days off did them major good, these guys came out on FIRE and dint let up the whole damn night!! There were so many funny moments too...

Sammy mentioned seeing Joe's mom in NY, and he went over and pointed at Joe's head and said Joe's mom said "You know Sammy, he looked JUST LIKE THAT when he was born!!" Then Sam said Joe is completely crazy, outta his mind to come up with music (he actually said shit) like this, LOL!! At the end of the show, Joe had a ball of some kind someone threw on stage, he picked it up and acted like he was gonna throw it to the audience but threw it behind him instead...then proceeded to throw out a rubber chicken and the ball anyway. Some guy had the funniest chicken hat I've seen and had tossed it up on stage and of course Joe put it on and mugged fer his own video camera :)

Some dude wore a full-body chicken-suit, head included and kept holding up different signs shaped like a half-broken egg...I didn't catch everything the signs said but one said "Come on ladies, you know I'll show you a good time" then he flipped it around and the other side said "When else are you gonna have a 6 foot cock?" He had the guys on stage crackin up regulary.

Sticks went flying all night...I was screamin and singin at the top of my lungs so today have almost no voice, got sunburned...chelle that was prolly me you heard saying HOLY SHIT over and over, LOL!!!

And you know the most precious of all? Chad took the stage first, the crowd was crazy for him...but when we really went apeshit was when Joe walked on stage....just ERUPTED!! I was so proud, LOL! It was only able to ratchet a titch higher when Sammy and Mike came out...people LOVE YA JOE!!

But this is definitely Sammy's town, and at the end Chad said the drinks were on Sammy at Cabo Wabo...peeps prolly made their way there and jammed the place beyond fire limits to see Sam...but we just slowly meandered home.

It was great to see Brian and Debby again, as well as Austin...and to meet Freddy and Shannon, and Ian...we were all blown away by Davy, and then by Chickenfoot.

HELLUVA NIGHT! Now fer the long drive home....9 hours...but we got new cds to blast, Davy's first one and a couple of DMB from Austin, THANKS AUSTIN!!!

Joe, love ya bunches n tons, you bring happiness to Chris n me more than you could ever know!!

GADANG I'S TARRED!!

Thanks peeps! It was fun :-)

Cappy, the one thing that money can't buy is love. What you have with your family is what means the most. Times are sucking hard, but being honest, not buying things you can't afford (so many ppl go on some sort of make believe 'we can still buy whatever we want' facade when they can't), and remembering that things will eventually get better. Hopefully this will be a blip on the screen in a year or two. A really sucky blip mind you, but it's gonna pass and things will improve. Personally, I can't believe how bad the economy has gotten, and Bush was still in denial up to the end. This is the biggest clusterfuck of our lifetime - and hopefully the only one. Ya just gotta keep chuggin' along with yer chin up and yer family in tact. What really sucks is that our President can't even get things moving in the right direction because all the misinformation the GOP & the like keep churning out. Euthanasia for the elderly in the new health care plan was the best ffs! Anyhony Kiedis has tweeted about karma a few times in the past few weeks. I'm just wondering how the karma of those lying bastards is working for them. They'd rather divide and conquer with a heavy hand than do what's best for this Universe and it's people. It's sad that WE are the ones that suffer for it, as they try to protect their riches and their lifestyles as the rest of us worry ourselves into heart attacks, homelessness, and losing everything we worked our entire lives for. Just keep yer chin up bro...it'll get better - I swear. Now, go out there and get some boobie mufflage of yer own - preferably not yer own boobies. lol!

Don, they really are a great bunch of friends!

WOO! And there's T-Bones now! lol! MORE meatbats in Tahoe than AC - c'maaan!! I thought we broke a record in AC! lol! We had grinding giraffes and everything! Sorry bout the sequoias. That always sucks! I'll talk at ya later, and again - thanks a million!

Guitarvibes--LOL! A great boobies man, you! I get the feeling boobies, balls and bits were meant to make us laugh! That inspired the penis and ball fountain in Amsterdam! What a comic relief!

M and T's reporting on CF concert brings mental vids of joy, some folly and mostly musical/sonic genius AND towering presence!

Skippygirl: I think it's more happiness than love, for now anyways. I like how I'm feeling right now, the future looks quite bright in many aspects, and obviously the intention is to share this happiness with the right person. If it becomes love later on, so be it. But for now, I am happy. :D

Blackmoon: Just the thought of flying over the sea sends chills down my spine. I will make it over to Europe someday, but I will definitely have to be drunk or sedated!!jajaja So are they recording a CD of just original songs, no covers?

Cappy - all the best to you, I hope and pray things get better for you. I recall your wife beiing ill a while ago too.

T - great report, sounds like a blast. Thnx for the tweets they were great.

But if you were 3rd in line how did you get 3rd row? Wouldn't you be in pole position to get the 1st row? Did you get to meet Joe or any of the others? Bet Chris is beside himself with happiness.

minimoog: thanks dude, it's actually a great song to practice real slow and speed up because of how Petrucci alternate picks across the strings.. ...and i still use sheets a bit, cuz that last solo is ridiculous if you think you're going to play note for note. But you should take a look at the main riffs. Intro is great practice for alternate picking, little hard rocking bridge before soft section is awesome for rhythmic displacements, and otherwise, the rest is just great for melodic ideas. Promise you you can play it too, it's not like i picked up and played it out of nowhere, lots of practice goes into that song.

Skippy, they had to get behind all the premium people - the ones who buy the package. They get in first, then the people who've been standing all day get in. It's all about the benjamins. Personally, I hate it. Can't even buy good tickets at a seated venue if yer on the ticket site the second they go on sale. They offer you way back...to save room for the premium, gold silver and whatever packages. People say "So save yer money and you can be upfront too". Fuck that (yes, I said fuck that!) My life is in no way, shape, or form lavish enough for me to spend hundreds of dollars for 2 tickets to one show. Anyways, that's what happened, and they got third row. Bottom line is really just being AT a show. I'm very fortunate that bands come within an hour or two from my house, so I'm grateful for that, and every show I get to see, I just don't dig the "$$dealio$$" as Luini puts it.

Tracie just dropped Chris off. She still has 2 hours to drive home ahead of her. She says she feels like "an old dishrag that was used to clean the bag of moldy ass". LMAO!!! Let's send good vibes to get her and the rest of the T2Jers home!

cheese; awesome review! glad to hear you got up front, too bad about the tall peeps in front of you. i feel bad sometimes cause i'm one of those sequoias your talking about lol. the pushing and shoving are a regular occurance in Tahoe. the mrs doesn't ever want to see a show there again becuase of the crowd. some of the idiots you mentioned are probably peeps we know of but don't want to know!

safe trips home to all who traveled to the show.

Tahoe sounds awesome! Cannot wait till Berkeley and universal. This is one band I HAVE to see live, so glad were making the 15 hour flight over there.

Kids are soo excited to be going to Disney, universal and legoland. Wish I could have done that as a kid. They are sooo spoilt. :)

Soo you ChickenCA people in just over 2 weeks!! Woohoo!

Good to know that Tahoe went great and people are making it home safely. Sounds the guys put on another energy packed show .... My hubby and I went to the local watering hole and had a few drinks and dance. They had a one man band who played the oldies. I kept thinking damn... I wish I was watching ChickenFoot instead. But then I shook it off and had a good time. The gentleman that was singing actually had an incredible voice but the music was mostly from the fifties, and early sixties.

ELPP- glad you enjoyed that clip. I had never seen anything quite like that . I found it very moving.

Cappy Steve- I wish I could find some encouragement to send your way..Hope the load lifts from your shoulders. My hubby always tells me things are going to be okay too (even though I know he does not know how things are going to turn out) Its hard sometimes, I am sure.

M - aha now I see...Premium tickets would be nice but yes hard to sustain for lots of shows. Lord, what I'd give just have ONE freakin' show!!

So 3rd row sounds pretty good if there were peeps already there ahead of them.

T - hope you got home safely, Tsafely.

Al - how's the head?

Don- thanks for the excellent words of advice.

I went to Citifield, the new NY Mets Stadium yesterday and though not a big fan had a great time....especially when they played the whole song Crowd Chant....they must play it every game because ive been hearing it at Televised sporting events for years...whats great is any country can play it because of its musical language...it was a real treat to hear it such an amazing place, being the fan i am. CC@Citifield

Its pretty cool how technology is so fast now...when chickenfoot is playing..theres an echo of information and video that flows out of each show for a couple of days...thats f'n cool

Tracie: Great review, but this time Michelle has won review of the year..better luck next time!!! jejeje just kidding. I'll admit I do a lot of crowd bouncing, but I do it at metal shows only, a CF show would be out of the question. It's a great way to make it to front row, that and taking advantage of mosh pits, if u place yourself properly you can move up 6-7 rows while the pit is on, then it's a matter of finding the people that look most tired and just wait for them to leave. Use that tip next time you see a mosh pit :)

Michelle: I agree 1000% with you on the premium seats crap. It's a shameless money grab, and the artists should put a stop to it, they should realize that 50% of the time the people that pay 300 bucks for a ticket are there to be seen and they don't really care much about who's playing. I've seen premium seaters leave in the middle of shows, last year when Satch came here was no exception.

Roo: I would assume that they have a Lego store at Legoland (so obvious, yet I don't recall seeing one in their list of USA stores), but if they don't I highly recommend u stop at the store outside of Disneyland. Lego stores are the coolest! Also, in Universal City there's an Italian restaurant called Bucca, very very tasty food if u're into Italian.
