Hi Scubadaz,

I understand why you suggest changing one string at a time, it saves you lots of time. But it has some disadvantages, namely you're never able to clean the guitar properly under the strings.

I always changed them all at the same time. After a while, you get used to the compensation you need to give each string (I start with low E) to make them close to the final position.

Just my two cents...

Cheers, VP

Turboian, Thank you for your confidence in my descriptive qualities. From the comments I've read from the Coldplay fans, I'd have to say that pretty many of them suffer from a serious case of Assholism. I'm also thinking that the king of that very same A-hole crowd will not be able to keep his mouth shut and will say something in an interview soon.. not that I'll be searching for anything about Chris Martin, but feel free. lol!

Don1963, sorry about the job situation. I still can't wrap my head around just how bad it really is, and how it got this way.

Anyways, back to Joe - Joe & Leslie - Stormy Monday

Man, I love that shit!! I could listen to Joe & Leslie play together all day!

"Joe Satriani / Coldplay legal battle ends"

Nice, so our melodic guitar favorite's new solo album can be a DOUBLE album! The budget is in! Or the Paris DVD in BlueRay. Come on Joe: I am starving for your solo stuff !!!!!!!

The President of the United States speaks to a joint session of Congress and Knucklehead/Loudmouth Rep. Joe Wilson shouts at the President, "You lie!" How civil, how respectful of the office of the President of the United States.......NOT! This country is tied up in knots over BIG (unhealthy) HEALTH INSURANCE CORPORATIONS that have broken our collective health needs down to commodities with huge pricetags!

I feel ashamed, embarrassed, ackward and extremely perplexed about the standing of the United States in relation to the rest of the world in the way we provide/distribute/manage our already rationed fragmented heathcare! Mental heathcare is another component of the equation that gets extremely short shrift........I'm given a prescription and shown the door........tranquilizers and more tranquilizers!!!

Why doesn't the doctor just give me a shot of sodium Pentabarbitol and that puts an end to my whole physical and mental misery........Oh, no! That flys in the face of the Pro-life, anti-abortion ppl who really enjoy and have invested a lot in the suffering of ordinary people like me.........so they can manipulate and shape me into their political pawn to do their dirty work for them!

Morning all- Glad to see some resolution in that case. Maybe the Cold Play fans will quit making such ugly comments on certain media sites about Joe. The only way ColdPlay could redeem their selves in my eyes is to publicly apologize for all their smug shite. I believe they do suffer from that disease Michelle so aptly described. But now its over.

Cheese - congrats to your parents . 65 years is a Love story for sure .My parents had there 50th anniversary last year . We threw a big family blow- out for them. A huge party complete with horse drawn wagon ride at dusk . Good times.

minimoog-congrats on the guitar . I t sure is pretty. I dont play guitar . Started to as a kid and never stuck with it or took lessons . I could kick myself now.

To be ashamed and embarrassed because of the actions of another person, American or not, is not a healthy way to think. To be embarrassed FOR THEM is more appropriate. What congress is doing now is literally starting a "civil" war among Americans. The lies and hatred that's being spewed out of some of these people and their lobbyists should not be tolerated. For that asshole to call the President a liar - he should be punished and should have to resign immediately. If a man doesn't have self control in a public situation like that, imagine what he's like behind closed doors! It's like the most evil of the bunch are winning because they're yelling the loudest and spending the most money spreading their lies. There could finally be some help for the people of the US, but instead some want to keep us living under fear and misinformation instead of knowledge and power. The more we know and can help ourselves to have a better life, the less they want us to know so that they can have the power over us. It's not even about health care - it's a fucking power struggle. I'm still naive enough to think that good will prevail over evil.

That until that day

The dream of lasting peace, world citizenship

Rule of international morality

Will remain in but a fleeting illusion

To be persued, but never attained

Now everywhere is war, war

Well Roy, prior to buying a Strat you always said Fenders were good for shovelling! Guess they be good for clubbing to!!! Pretty sure a well swung Tele could make a wikked dent in pretty much anything.

Brings to mind the April Wine ditty, "Rock n Roll Is A Vicious Game``

Glad the court case is over but I wanna know fer sure if Joe was taken care of properly.

Roo, I thought of that, that you'd be somewhere in the pit too! We're on the left side (Joe's side, woo!) row 6....look for us if you get a chance, eh mate? Would love to be able to say hi! Ummmm, u can bring a whole buncha yer bootleg stuffs with u, we won't assault u for them, reeeeeeeeeallllly we won't :D

Thanks for all the good wishes for my parents, they are just so cute :) and we are all looking forward to spending the evening together. They like things quiet now though, dint want a big party anymore, said they don't like being the center of attention. We did that 5 years ago, and they enjoyed it but said dat was enuff :) Wish I could send them on a trip somewhere they'd like to go, but....they are beyond being able to do those things now and are content to stay at home. Hmmm, I COULD take them to Queensryche/Davy Knowles/CHICKENFOOT.....couldn't I ;)

Love ya Joe, see ya in a little over a week...yeeees, again, LOL!!
