minimoog - architectural services - hard hit. The State stopped the biggest project in the office and it was a house of cards after that. Not sure how long they can hold out. Too many bosses (taking no cut by the way) collecting big salaries and perks for the amount of business we have.
Michelle - As the song goes "I Will Survive".

Just to set the record straight, I posted that news about the Vai DVD because I figured some folks here would be pre-ordering it, and I know a few were frustrated about Vai pulling the "other" Wild Things from the CD. That was in no way a subtle hint that I prefer Vai over Satch... quite the opposite actually! And I wasn't trying to add fuel to the fire either!!! I have nothing to add to that argument. Joe is my favorite, don't even have to think about it.
ANYWAY...
Michelle: That is a sad story, but it brought back some memories of my childhood. That probably is going to come across way wrong, but.. I always remember pestering my folks to let me drive when I was waaaay too young, and once in a while they would let me do it. Looking back I hope it's not because they were smoking smelly stuff!
I had to laugh at the fact that you left the copyright statement on the end of the post as you were "redistributing" it!!
I really hope the Meatbats get here early!! Better go check the mail...
Listening to: Joe's Vox Tracks-BBW #3 Mix (BBW Video Soundtrack)
Really been digging these lately..
--We should have some kind of contest here to let the fans name this song, and have Joe put it on his next solo album....

minimoog. I if I can survive Scuba inferring I was a "dick" because I like a little weed at my concert ...
Mike - I would say this is no longer long tem employment for me. The lease on this building is up at the end of February 2010. If they don't get some decent work soon it's cutains. Been a good ride 14 years - almost unheard of in these parts.

Castle: Agreed. Especially North American audiences. I've noticed a real difference in the mentality of concert-goers here as opposed to in Europe. In Europe, by and large (and of course there are exceptions) the attitude is one of solidarity and brotherhood in sharing the event together. In North America the concert experiences are competitive and pushy. Fights break out. Tempers flare.etc...
Strange phenomenon

minimoog - People get mad if you dance or sing or stand up or do anything they are not doing. Everyone is hair trigger pre-pissed, just like when they drive. Too bad really. It's a concert - supposed to be fun.

Turboian, no need to be on the defensive over Satch/Vai. Nobody is going to jump on you for it. We talk about all musicians on this forum. Some like others better than Joe (huh-uh!!). If somebody got something going on and you wanna share it, then share it! I usually post Dave Weiner stuff myself. There is no competition between Satch & Vai. They're great friends, phenomenal players, and all around great guys. As for the 6 year old driver - my kids are 17 & 20 and they scare the crap out of me when they drive. lmao!
Castle, what state do you live in?

Watching John Stockton be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. That Utah Jazz team was my favorite...well, Karl Malone was my favorite, but I digress. Glad I got to see this :-)

Minimoog and Castle49-
my daughter was at DMB at the Gorge at George Washington. She said the atmosphere was peace love and happiness. It was mass joy...no probs except with alcohol control patrol.
The happy mood might have helped by the haze floating about and evidently some sort of edibles

No I'm kidding but Larry Bill runs them a close 3rd.
Poking around on Sammy Hagar's site, noticd again his links and Van Halen was listed. The Van Halen site (which I only visited because I was curious about Sammy's site being listed.)...NOT...Just goes to show you who is the stand up guy...I see Eddie does have signature striped sneakers available...I'll shut up now before I begin to curse.
