Mystical Robot :- Another good bit of advice, even though it sounds cliche, is to play what you feel.By that I mean let your emotions govern your notes,so if you're feeling angry, for example, "play" how your feeling. Same if you're sad, happy ,excited, blue or whatever other emotion you're experiencing.Try playing a "colour' as well. For example, how would the colour orange "sound' to you.Try play something that conjures that up for you.Pick any colour you like.Find its "sound".Same goes for the elements around you; earth, water, sunlight, fire, rain, the sound of the wind through the trees, etc. It's the perfect way to find your own voice on the guitar. Anyhow, the fridge is full of beer(Guinness for those who indulge) and the bar is stocked with several bottles of Jack Daniels.Drink up everybody.Cheers!!!!!!!!

Blue_Moon :- G,day Al. I was just listening to a mix of Eddie Money songs I put together from his discography, and I couldn't help but notice a striking resemblance between the young Eddie Money from the 70's and your good self. And seeing how he has an Irish heritage I was just wondering if there's some sort of connection?

Cappy Steve - What song from ITLIS? is the one that hooked you? I think you first came to T2J when I was away for a while, so I don't know...

That's one of my top albums.

Pip55 - I think I remember reading a news item on the site about the border troubles...I looked through the ones posted during the EOC era but didn't see anything, so I guess if it happened it wasn't related to Eric.

I do remember reading past comments from Joe saying that his touring band (at least in recent years) has always been very drug-free. I don't know if that's what you were hinting at, but with as busy as Joe seems to like his solo tours (six days on, one day off), I doubt he'd tolerate any drug use.

Anyway, this is a lot of speculation so it seems weird to talk about...

Joe, if you're reading this, have you given any thought to working with Eric Caudieux on an EOC-like project again?

Peace Lily - Good choice...CP is my No. 1 as well.
Skippygirl - Ed Roland is singing "love" in the song. The title is likely Tremble For My Beloved so it's clear that he's talking about a person and not the feeling. "Love" could be taken either way if it were in the title, but it's clear when in context of the rest of the lyrics.

Argh, I'm posting about word choice...I need to start working again.

michelle - No fair taking the easy way out...Dreaming #11 is only an EP. You'll have to pick another least favorite. ;-)

Aaand happy birthday to your mom and your cat. Was Sully actually born on the day, or is it just the day you got him? Funny coincidence...

fatape - We were discussing what SMF meant a few months ago but I don't think any of us were 100% sure. Sick Mother F'er, right?
elpp - The sunburn doesn't hurt nearly as much as it did yesterday...I'll hopefully be fine tomorrow. I did stay inside for most of today, I wonder if that had anything to do with it.
axeshredderjc - Thanks for sharing those...you have some great ones of Mikey.

I'm not sure if this link will work, but this photo (9) is my favorite...cool that you were able to get everyone in the shot.

Listening to: Dream Theater - Black Clouds & Silver Linings (current song: The Shattered Fortress)

I'm seeing DT on Saturday...I can't wait!

...Austin...

Axe - you're pics are awesome, I really like number 3.

Do The Stu - ah, thank you sensai for clarifying, I knew I could rely on you. Debate resolved in our house.

Your trip to the Grand Canyon brought back memories of my 1987 trip. Had a fab time at the Canyon, went on the helicopter flight and scored the front seat (you know in the "bubble" part of the chopper) so had uninterrupted views, very spiritual and awesome place.

Luminous Flesh Giants always reminds me of This old Classic Southern Rock Tune. I guess it's the similarities in the main riff. LFG just has that southern rock feel.

For those of you who do not know, The Rossington Collins Band was made up of some of the surviving members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd...gosh that's hard to spell...band.

I'm goin' back t' sleep.

DoTheStu :- You're spot on about SMF. I'd never heard Joe drop the F-Bomb until I asked him about that tune. But the tfifteen minutes or so that we got to spend talking with him were amazing. He just makes you feel so at ease.A genuine down to earth guy and made us feel like we had known each other for years!!! Thanks heaps Joe!

Do the burgers - That is a very good Q indeed Austin, the first time I played the CD during every track I thought 'f**k me this is good'. I must add that it was the first time I had heard Joe. After I listened to it I called my Chief Engineer across to my dayroom and said come and listen to this. As it played I said 'this guy can really play the guitar' to which the Chief replied 'no Captain, this man SINGS with his guitar'. So it wasn't really any particular track that hooked me, I would say though that I could listen to 'Just look up' at any time. It was the first track that I realised I was putting my own words to the music as I listened. I did the same with 'Ten words', I think I actually posted my lyrics for TW.

Please note I resisted the temptation to just answer with 'If I could fly'. :-)

Hi, Joe! I love your music and think you're a great guitarist. I wonder if you plan to play in Sweden or somewhere else in Scandinavia some time soon. I looked on your roadsceuduale but didn't find any shows here. I hope you drop by some time so I can see and listen to you live!

Wow, I think I just O.D.'ed on sleep! I slept for 10 hours, which is 5 more hours of sleep than I usually get on a work night. Damn did that feel good!! I highly recommend it!

Austin, Sully was born on me mum's birthday. The rescue shelter we got him from got his mother when she was pregnant. They watched him being born, so it's a sure date. They also named him Bubba. lol! We left him pick his own name by writing names on little pieces of paper and balling them up. I shook them all up in my hand and threw them down on the floor. Therefore, he picked his own name - Sully. lol! Funny thing is, he has the body of a Bubba (so they knew something!), but the attitude of Sully (Erna). lol!

As for the least liked Satch cd, if I can't pick the ep - LOL - then I'll go for the least listened one, which is SBM. It has a lot of good songs on it, but I always think of it as a sad cd. I forget why. lol! Don't know if I was sad during that time, or if I can sense sadness in Joe? I'll have to give it another listen. There's no cd I don't like, just one's I listen to less.

Good Morn Satchland... How U B ?

michelle..... Thanks sweetie. I like things right where they are..lol.. I know what you mean about returning to reality. The shows are so intense you wonder if it was real. You walk away thinking ....Oh my God was that Great or What? Chickenfoot makes perfect sense for Joe. As he has stated... sorta.... he needed a break for being the boss..... I know how he feels as with the band I'm in now.... not being the lead vocalist and leader has freed me up to do what I do best.... play guitar. It really makes a difference. If I had better pipes it might be different. But as a front man lead vocalist you have to have that certain tone in your voice that God didn't give me. I'm ok with that. Plus like Joe said.... it's better just to have a front man. I guess it's traditional...lol. Sammy is a great front man and his voice... my God note for note with Joe at the end of "Turning Left" How does a man sing that high and at 60+ yrs. old? God gave my pipes to Sammy...lol.... Sammy you owe me...lol....Chickenfoot is here to stay and I can't wait to hear what Joe comes up with for the next Satch band cd. It's definitely going to be a harder sound.... Joe doing Metal? There's a thought.... Hugs.

T2J peeps were mentioning there Joe favs. My fav is still Flying in a Blue Dream. There's something about that song....the groove, harmony feedback guitars, melody line and the solos....the longest Legato lines in music ...lol... It's a masterpiece. My second is If I Could Fly. That song to me is an extension of FIABD... sorta like a Part Duex if you will.

Have A Great Day Everyone ......

ptrocker: No, you're not alone. I do find it hard to like EOC as an album, but I do like quite a few individual tracks. As for the others...love em all :)
BlueAl: I would have to agree with you on fav tracks off JS and NOTE...although The Snake is pretty cool as well it must be said :)
And on the subject of all this, I would have to say that 2 of my fav tracks reside on his most recent work...really can't beat Musterion and Revelation. Or Rubina. Or Searching...you see where the problem lies? He's just too damm good....But if I had to choose an album that I just LOVE to listen to again and again, it would have to be SBM. That just has sooo many gems on it.
