Cappy..... Thanks for the hint. My shelly would not castrate me...lol....

Would You ?

michelle.... Yes, I figured it out and .... There you are in all of your splendor.... Thanks for not taking my post seriously as it was not ment to cause you any pain...lol... How you be? First off Happy Belated Birdie. Second. I read about your trip with hubby to see Joe and Chickenfoot. This was your first time meeting Cheeze.... Jayzus did I miss a party or what? I'm glad you two got to meet and hang out plus backstage passes. Jayzus Girl.... How do you do that? Well as you know Chickenfoot is GREAT !!!, Joe said it best. The Show in Chi-Town was awesome. Did you see the you tube vids with Joe playing drums and Chad on Joe's guitar before Bad Motor Scooter? That was priceless. Sammy and Michael were drinking Beer and Jack and handing it to the fans and Joe was flossing his teeth on the Chickenfoot guitar and Chad and Sammy.... What can you say? Another you tube vid in Chicago had Sammy on the drum riser stating he was always the crazy one in the band untill Chickenfoot as Chad has him beat...Priceless. I think, know and feel we have a lot of great music and more great shows comin' our way from Chickenfoot. They're having way, way, way to much fun for this to end soon. Hugs to you. Glad you're home safe and sound....

Have A Great Evening Everyone......

ptrocker - OK, I can see where you're coming from about the rhythm section. I guess I've never really thought about it like a "band" record, the way it seems like you are. To me it's always been just two things on that album ("Joe" and "everything else").

Onto the JS95 album, I love most of it but don't really care for Cool #9 (studio or live). I know I'm in the minority with that song. I do love If and Luminous Flesh Giants, though.

What are your thoughts on Not Of This Earth? I guess that'd be the third least-liked album for most people? The production sounds VERY dated to me, but I still love listening to it. It's a great album to drive to...

Peace Lily - "I want to celebrate the differences that make us individuals"

That's the best way to look at it... So, what's some of the other music you're into? We all talk about guitar more than anything else here, but our other tastes are pretty varied from person to person.

I like a lot of older classic rock (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen), and prog both old (Yes, Rush) and new (Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree). But then I also like a lot of 90s rock, and there are a few newer bands that are fun to follow.

Slyro - Sleep Walk is an old song originally done by Santo & Johnny. It's probably one of the most-covered songs out there...you can find more info on Wikipedia.
michelle - Hahaha...you can't ask for my help with that! I know I drink less than most people around here, but that might be changing. This past Friday night / Saturday morning I had several margaritas and split a bottle of whiskey with someone.

If we're counting on me to keep track, we're all screwed!

Listening to: Collective Soul - (Rabbit) (current song: Staring Down)

This is their new album, which came out yesterday. I like it so far (it's always great to hear new music from these guys), but I still need to give it a few more listens to know for sure.

It's a bit closer to their 90s sound than their last two albums have been, but isn't at the level of what I love most about the band...I might call this a mix between Disciplined Breakdown and Blender.

...Austin...

Joe - a very cool bit of footage of you guys doing Future, but the opening with your Mum is really sweet too. Ha, your face when Sam says he wants to marry your mum... priceless

Future in the Past

Do The Stu - my comment about Eric was based on something I thought I remembered reading on here. However, a quick post scan doesn't show anything up so maybe I'm getting mixed up with a story about someone else

Do The Stu - the kids and I love Collective Soul's Tremble for My Beloved at the moment, we belt it out at top volume in the car on the way home from school etc...we are still debating if they sing "love" or "beloved" in the actual song, though, lol.

You can pick the theme across my last few posts right?

Keniko, I wouldn't castrate you for a joke. lol! Not that joke anyway. lol! Thanks for the bday wishes. Guess that means I get to celebrate...again! Woo-ha! Dude, we had so much fun in AC. There were moments of that trip that were just so priceless. Of course, since we're all not in the same great shape as Joe, our asses are busted this week. lol! We's to' up from lack of sleep, traveling, and getting back to reality. They got to see MY ocean in all it's "there's a hurricane out there somewhere named Bill" glory too. I saw the Chi-town vids. These guys are having the time of their lives!

Fav cd - JS95. Least fav??? Maybe Dreaming #11???

Don, if I kept track of all the JD I drank back in the day, I prolly could have wallpapered a wall with all the labels. lol! Never had Cabo yet. To much cabbage for a bottle of booze. I think I'll put it on my Christmas list and give that list to my in-laws. lol!

Al says it's all about Down, Down, Down today.

Today is me mum's 76th birthday! She kids and says she's starting to get a little worried. lol! Poor bird has been joking every birthday will be her last since she's 48 years old because that's the age her mum died. lol! She's out getting her 76 year old buzz on having a few birthday cocktails with my pop. I dedicate this song to her - TIME Happy birthday Mummy!

edit: in all fairness, I have to say that it's also my cat Sully's 4th birthday too. lol! He'll get a little nip later :-)

Since some of us are talking about our fave Satch albums and songs, here's my two cents worth. Favourite album...ALL of them! I cannot for the life of me choose a favourite coz they are all so unique. There is not one track on any of them that I DON'T like, although I DO have favourite tracks off each album,my all time favourite being Always With Me ,Always With You, as that was the first Satch tune I ever heard way back on 22nd July,1988.Why do I remember the exact date, you ask? Well, that's the day my daughter was born and that tune just resonated in me.My next favourite is Ten Words and I don't think any explanation is needed for that. After that is S.M.F. I asked Joe when I met him in Sydney last year what SMF stood for.His reply was exactly what I thought it meant. Does anybody else know? Anyhow, that's it for now, although I'm looking forward to getting down to Ozzy_Fudds and firin' up the jigsaw.WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!Drinks all 'round!!! Cheers people!!

The red album is VERY underrated, it's an insanely good album, the problem is that in the context of Joe's discography it sticks out as much as EOC. Most every other Joe album leans towards rock, while those 2 are way out there. Cool # 9 has certainly been played to death, but the studio version sounds very different (and cool), so I still get a kick out of hearing it. And the rest of the album is just perfect (even Killer BeBop, which I've seen some negative comments about it here, in the past).

I'll go out on a limb and say that the red album is not my favorite Satch album (SWTA is still #1 for me), but it is the best blues album I've ever heard.

EOC, well, Joe liked it, so it's cool. Nothing more to add there.

Keniko: LMAO!!

PTRocker: I was gonna respond to your comments, but it turned into a post of its own. So read my last post for how I feel about EOC and JS95.

Austin: I only eat that burger when I go to the Jack. I can see why some wouldn't like it, as not even I can tell what type of meat it has (looks like ground meat), but it's the combination of cheeses and that mistery meat that make it unique. I've yet to taste anything quite like it anywhere else, fast food or not.
Thx for the Yasi suggestions, will check it out later. How's the sunburn coming along? :)

Michelle: I have a hard time counting when I'm drinking, I can't imagine being able to keep track of what I had after the fact! But I'll be carrying around pen and paper and give it a shot jajajaja. Happy bday to your mom!

Crystal Planet is the first album I bought , and listed to all the way thru. Honestly I can't tell you my favorite song because I love too many of them. Different songs transport my mind to different places and emotions. Crystal Planet is the one that first hooked me.

On a serious side -those who follow Joes tweets serious heartbreaking subject matter. My heart goes out to our people in the armed services and those who's loved ones are in harms way.
