Velvet Underground......no one does "Heroin" like Lou Reed and gives the feeling of shooting up and nodding out.......he says, "Heroin is the death of me......Heroin is my wife and Heroin is my life.........Wow.......what visions.............sounds like slowing that heartbeat way way down so instead of getting broken.......the 'ol heart just stops beating.....

GG2 Maybe you might listen to some music ( with a smile on it) It could help and wouldn't hurt . Not judging you , you just seem very unhappy. Take care.

ha! At work every once in a while I'll write in a piece of cardboard "For a good time call Joe" (my old boss) and I write the work phone number. Then I usually put the cardboard someplace where it'll get found later in the week when I'm nowhere around :-)

so um....yeah....

Michelle, just as I was going to critizise (sp?) you for bringing up those horrible dancer suits again :( , you totally redeem yourself in the sentence that followed. ROTFLMAO!! I had an uncle like that!!! He'd curse at all of us when he got drunk, which was everytime we went to see him!!

Skippygirl: You are mistaken, it's a G F. Space in between please...jejejeje. At least until the divorce is finalized, which from what I hear it might be a helluva lot sooner than I thought. A friend was telling me it took her 1 month and 100 dollars to get divorced, not a bad deal at all!!

EP6D6P Day 4 (great, now he's using acronyms...)

Juarez Indios 0-1 Toluca

Frustrating is a word I use more and more often now to describe the experience of watching an Indios soccer game. Tonight was no exception. This team will return to Division 2 if they don't get their act together-fast!
No 6 pack, I hate the beer that they sell in the stadium (Tecate light), and any possibility of post-game celebrations were cancelled when earlier today I was assigned babysitting duties for my son. Which is great, not complaining at all!
I'll be spending the rest of the night and tomorrow morning with him, then he's back to his mom and I'm off to watch DA BEARS!!

Skippy:thx the idea with Bluecolt was to escape the imo overused instrumental guitar vision of distortion backing chords, drums, bass & guitar widdlewee solo *yawn*.This last 2 years has found me neck deep in orchestration in a bid to do something different.Strangely i,m drawn more & more to film score work, i find i real peace & sense of freedom creating there because noone expects anything from you so noone knows what to expect next.Good day Skip

Zen:Have you tried screwing the pickups down flush/flat to the body?¿ less hot, more definition

Beck upgrade wiring

PICKUPS

Set too high, pickups can cause myriad inexplicable phenomena. Depress all the strings at the last fret. Using a 6" (150 mm) ruler, measure the distance from the bottom of the first and sixth strings to the top of the pole piece. A good rule of thumb is that the distance should be greatest at the sixth-string neck pickup position, and closest at the first-string bridge pickup position. Follow the measurement guidelines in the chart below as starting points. The distance will vary according to the amount of magnetic pull from the pickup.

Bass Side Treble Side

Texas Specials 8/64" (3.6 mm) 6/64" (2.4 mm)

Vintage style 6/64" (2.4 mm) 5/64" (2 mm)

Noiseless™ Series 8/64" (3.6 mm) 6/64" (2.4 mm)

Standard Single-Coil 5/64" (2 mm) 4/64" (1.6 mm)

Humbuckers 4/64" (1.6 mm) 4/64" (1.6 mm)

Lace Sensors As close as desired (allowing for string vibration)

Skippygirl, Elpp, Peace Lily:
Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the links. I was surprised to hear that everyone here hadn't seen that vid already. Honestly, of all Joe's recorded stuff, that is probably my favorite. His sound was perfect, his fingers were on fire the entire night, and he played a lot of stuff he doesn't usually play (that I've seen). My only complaint is that they didn't record it for a DVD!!

I am getting excited for the Live in Paris DVD now that the CF tour is winding down. Hopefully Joe will have some time to finish what he needs to finish and give us a release date, and maybe even some sort of cool pre-order offer...

I hope he broke out some dusty stuff for the Paris DVD, but there isn't a whole lot on YouTube from that show except the usual DVD stuff and a couple from PSATMOR. Time Machine is one of my fav's and I know it was getting some play time last year so hopefully that made the set list that night... Fingers crossed!!

Anyway, should be heading off to bed... Enjoy your day wherever you are!

roy - when I do a movie script you'll be my very first port of call for the score. Bro and sis-in-law are in Spain now, no doubt going sick over the local flamenco music scene, waiting for a tweet from them.

elpp, phew! Glad I posted that other link then. LOL! Gotta admit the 70's style was hilarious! I'm trying to remember if I knew anyone who would do the my house thing. The only one I can thing of is my sisters first husband. That asshole didn't even have to be drunk to start on that rant. He'd just act like an idiot all the time. Alcohol just increased his assholism. Thankfully he was just a blip on the screen.

The sun is finally out for the first time in days. Yay!

I need to go back to bed. I just had to correct this post about 6 times. I can't even see straight cause my eyes are watery. I need some Lucky Charms....
