Well, I came to wish everyone a happy Meatbats Day, but I see that I have been beat to it!

Happy Meatbats Day anyway!!

As soon as my mailman makes his way to this side of town, I should have my CD, complete with autographed booklet. I'm super excited!!
Tracie: Sorry I missed out on the Tahoe group photo.. I have to limit my standing to that I do while watching the actual concert and only a couple hours in line, even if that means I lose a good spot. Surprisingly, even though I can't run, at both shows I've been to I've been lucky enough to be as close as I was at Tahoe.

At least I caught the post show group photo, even though the pre show pic looks a little more pre planned than the one I was in!!
Minimoog: Congrats on the new guitar. Was the 20S the JS100 with the paintjob or the nicer one? Can't remember the discussion the other day and for some reason I can't get to the Ibanez site right now. Either way, it's a collector's model and IMO all of Joe's guitars are the best looking on the Ibanez line.

turbo: the one I got is the JS20S. it's the painted silver surfer - not the 3-D embossed. I couldn't afford the $3500.00 CAD price tag on the JS20TH. I was going to save for it, but I read the dimensions and apart from the pickups and fret size, it's the same guitar. I might upgrade later to the PAF Pro and the FRED ...we'll see.... :-)

cheese101; nice to be able to put faces to the screen names! the wifey agrees, anywhere but Tahoe.

calosophy: your son does a good job! as far as exposure, it looks like your doing the right thing so far. no quick and easy way to get noticed in the music bizz. my only advice is to make sure your kid gets to be a kid and not pushed into anything because you think its the best thing for him, or worse living your dreams and aspirations through him. i know of a very talented 16 year old girl who appears happy and is always ready with a quick smile. on closer examination you can see the smile is rehearsed and the dad seems a little pushy.

pip: you and my wife have the same sense of humor, she is totally cracking up over here!!

vibes; the mrs is awaiting the Bombastic cd she pre-ordered weeks ago. the company says it shipped last week!

Thanks scub: I'm pretty stoked. It's definately a step up for me. I've never had a Floyd Rose before, so now I have to learn to set the bloody thing up. LOL. Looking forward to it though. It feels like such a solid guitar compared to my LTD M-50. What a difference!

Here's a pic of it in my studio:

Minimoog/Scub: I was in no way inferring that I thought it was no good because it was "just" a JS100.. I've never played any of the JS series guitars, so I can't say anything about their quality, but I'm sure they are remarkable or Joe wouldn't put his name on them.

Personally, I think the JS100 is great; it gives people like me (not that I have one) a chance to own Joe's signature guitar (with a few differences) without having to spend a years' salary on it!

Minimoog, that thing looks great in your studio, and I'm sure it sounds awesome whether you decide to put the FRED and the PRO in there or not! Congrats!
Damn mailman didn't bring my Meatbats today. I really figured it would arrive since today was the release date and it shipped like 10 days ago. Stupid postal service!!

Scuba: thanks for the link to that vid! It's not as hard as I was thinking it would be. One question....what is the quality difference between the Edge III (which is what I have) and the Edge Pro bridge on the JS 1200? (besides not having to clip the rings off your strings) I guess the Neck type is different too....Mine has the JS style neck and the JS 1200 has the prestige - the dimensions are the same though so, again I'm curious - what is the difference there? __________________________________________________________________________ Turbo: don't worry man, it's all good. I wasn't offended. I know it aint the best in the JS line - but to me it's a major step up, so I'm just ecstatic :-)

peace

Well, I hafta say, it was an interesting day today....

Started off standing out in the cold for an hour trying to convince a lady to let me and her son in to talk to her, she's gone psychotic and wasn't having NONE of it...she never did let us in, but eyeballed me head to toe and prounounced that she could see I had a LITTLE class....my necklace and earrings showed class, but the rest of me was a ZERO!!!! Her exact words, lol!!

And then threatened to make a citizen's arrest and call the sheriff to have me carted away.......

Sooooooooo, I hung around fer that hour trying to help the son with her, and then finally left, handcuff-free...live to try another day I guess!! This is gonna be a tough case, lemme tell ya!!

Meanwhile went about the rest of the day with the headache the freezing air managed to trigger, lol....went to a flower shop after work to order a very special bouquet to be delivered tomorrow, and while there got to tour the back, pick out flowers, have a gorgeous parrot come sit on my shoulder and flirt with me up close and personal, LOL!!! He was so purty, and his cockatoo buddy too....

Stopped by my parents house to deliver some goodies "just because"...no special reason cuz it's the day before so doesn't count as a prezzie fer the occasion...I hafta be tricky like dat cuz they always say they don't want anything for anything, nothing for birthdays, Christmas, etc....

BUT I'D JUST LIKE TO SAY....THAT TOMORROW IS MY PARENTS 65TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!

So that's why the lil prezzies today, the flowers and out for dinner tomorrow :) They are so dear!! And I think 65 years is an amazing milestone!

Capped off my evening with a great chat with a lovely friend AND.....

SCORED PIT TICKETS TO THE BERKELEY SHOW GAD DAMN HELL YEAH!!!!

Woke Chrispy up just to scream over the phone at him about the tix and that in 10 days we're headed to CHICKENFOOT BERKELEY!!! YEEEFRICKENHAW!!!!

Yes, just a titch excited....good way to end a day that dint really start very well :)

LOVE YA MOM AND DAD, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
