Hey Joe,...I saw this...couldnt help thinking about you and your next solo album..lol..hint? Ive never messed with one but i really enjoy how you use it...maybe crack it open and send it to Vox..lol...its got memory!!! Pog 2

Don 1963 - ..Thanks alot man..you should be a judge next year!..lol...im in early discussions w/ new band..but really no performance ready band...but its not so much about me...its the musicians of LI NY...too many egos...too much "i dont play that"...so i took up the drums and bought a bass amp...and if i ever get energetic well...maybe ill complete my goal of a 3-5 song demo before years end...i write almost every time i pick up the guitar...i record it ...and never listen to it...maybe someday..thanks for your thoughtful comments Don!

Castle: Agreed. Especially North American audiences. I've noticed a real difference in the mentality of concert-goers here as opposed to in Europe. In Europe, by and large (and of course there are exceptions) the attitude is one of solidarity and brotherhood in sharing the event together. In North America the concert experiences are competitive and pushy. Fights break out. Tempers flare.etc... Strange phenomenon

minimoog - People get mad if you dance or sing or stand up or do anything they are not doing. Everyone is hair trigger pre-pissed, just like when they drive. Too bad really. It's a concert - supposed to be fun.

Turboian, no need to be on the defensive over Satch/Vai. Nobody is going to jump on you for it. We talk about all musicians on this forum. Some like others better than Joe (huh-uh!!). If somebody got something going on and you wanna share it, then share it! I usually post Dave Weiner stuff myself. There is no competition between Satch & Vai. They're great friends, phenomenal players, and all around great guys. As for the 6 year old driver - my kids are 17 & 20 and they scare the crap out of me when they drive. lmao!

Castle, what state do you live in?

Watching John Stockton be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. That Utah Jazz team was my favorite...well, Karl Malone was my favorite, but I digress. Glad I got to see this :-)

Minimoog and Castle49- my daughter was at DMB at the Gorge at George Washington. She said the atmosphere was peace love and happiness. It was mass joy...no probs except with alcohol control patrol.

The happy mood might have helped by the haze floating about and evidently some sort of edibles

Greatest guitarist..?...Satch?? Vai?? Hell no.!.. Larry Bill and his Tele Belly You forgot about him.

No I'm kidding but Larry Bill runs them a close 3rd.

Poking around on Sammy Hagar's site, noticd again his links and Van Halen was listed. The Van Halen site (which I only visited because I was curious about Sammy's site being listed.)...NOT...Just goes to show you who is the stand up guy...I see Eddie does have signature striped sneakers available...I'll shut up now before I begin to curse.

Just got done watching "Made Of Tears" (from the Live 2006) for the umpteenth time . Such a powerful performance. I can never understand how some people can say that Joe has no SOUL, or Emotion in his playing .( not anyone on the forum) I don't think they ever took the time to listen......... or watch him play. I wonder why "live" clips of Psycho Monkey can't be found. Not played at the shows? I would love to see that one played live.

castle49 - oh dear, sorry to hear about the work situation. It looked like curtains for building and architectural here as well, but the Federal govt launched an infrastructure program to prop up the economy and it was for new schools mostly, and our local friends in that industry have had work non-stop on new school projects. It saved their bacon.

Hope something similar can happen for you, and provide some demand until the 'real" economy gets going again.

Lovely place Canada btw, had a fantastic 4 weeks there once, backpacking in BC and Alberta.

Peace Lily: How about a live version of Psycho Monkey that you can watch?!

Joe live in Anaheim 2005 Webcast

That link should hopefully open the movie up for you, as long as you have quicktime. If it doesn't work you can go to Foreverjoe.com, click on the media tab, and there are lots of vids to chose from, the Anaheim webcast being one. Psycho Monkey is on there, an absolutely jaw dropping version of Hordes of Locusts, Up in the Sky, Hands in the Air, Is There Love in Space?, Strange, Bamboo, Lords of Karma.... Lots of stuff you don't see Joe play every day!

I really wish that one would have been available on DVD! Joe was on fire that night and I think a few peeps from here were there to see it.. I wish I could just figure out how to record the audio from the webcast so I could listen to it in my car and on my ipod thingy...
Anyway, I hope those links work and I hope that's what you're lookin for!! Enjoy!

EDIT: Depending on your browser type, you may just want to right click on the link to the webcast, click on properties and copy and paste the URL into the "Open URL" open in quicktime and have QT open it directly so that you can change the size of the player rather than the vid just opening in a new browser window/tab.
Listening to: Axeshredder's KOTB's Jam

Axeshredderjc: This kicks Axe!! Ha! --Any way you can make that downloadable? I'd enjoy rocking out to that while I'm away from the computer as well. I DL'ed your cover of Flying in a Blue Dream a couple years ago and it had been in my car ever since!

Don't get me started on GC's methods.. I can't stand the GC here in Boise anymore. I do business with a little mom and pop guitar store downtown or over the internet, even if I have to pay more.

Ian

Michelle - CA and in a city where police don't come to your house over a little smoke. Santa Barbara.

Skippy - We specialize in rehabilitating schools and do lots of work at community colleges. Money from the state has just frozen up. The competition is incredibly fierce.
