Well, I hafta say, it was an interesting day today....

Started off standing out in the cold for an hour trying to convince a lady to let me and her son in to talk to her, she's gone psychotic and wasn't having NONE of it...she never did let us in, but eyeballed me head to toe and prounounced that she could see I had a LITTLE class....my necklace and earrings showed class, but the rest of me was a ZERO!!!! Her exact words, lol!!

And then threatened to make a citizen's arrest and call the sheriff to have me carted away.......

Sooooooooo, I hung around fer that hour trying to help the son with her, and then finally left, handcuff-free...live to try another day I guess!! This is gonna be a tough case, lemme tell ya!!

Meanwhile went about the rest of the day with the headache the freezing air managed to trigger, lol....went to a flower shop after work to order a very special bouquet to be delivered tomorrow, and while there got to tour the back, pick out flowers, have a gorgeous parrot come sit on my shoulder and flirt with me up close and personal, LOL!!! He was so purty, and his cockatoo buddy too....

Stopped by my parents house to deliver some goodies "just because"...no special reason cuz it's the day before so doesn't count as a prezzie fer the occasion...I hafta be tricky like dat cuz they always say they don't want anything for anything, nothing for birthdays, Christmas, etc....

BUT I'D JUST LIKE TO SAY....THAT TOMORROW IS MY PARENTS 65TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!

So that's why the lil prezzies today, the flowers and out for dinner tomorrow :) They are so dear!! And I think 65 years is an amazing milestone!

Capped off my evening with a great chat with a lovely friend AND.....

SCORED PIT TICKETS TO THE BERKELEY SHOW GAD DAMN HELL YEAH!!!!

Woke Chrispy up just to scream over the phone at him about the tix and that in 10 days we're headed to CHICKENFOOT BERKELEY!!! YEEEFRICKENHAW!!!!

Yes, just a titch excited....good way to end a day that dint really start very well :)

LOVE YA MOM AND DAD, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Yea I'm glad the Coldplay mess is over too. Joe doesn't need that stress anymore. That kinda stuff eats at your soul.

You know I'm glad the Coldplay stuff is over too, and I'm really glad Joe fans aren't anything like Coldplay fans. I was reading through articles on the case and ended up at one of their fan sites. Those people have got something... Not sure what to call it.
I bet Michelle could describe it quite well...
I do have a little gripe, though... I kinda feel like Joe's public relations team is understaffed or something.. I mean, I'm not saying anyone is doing a bad job or anything. It just seems to me that Jon usually handles Joe's PR stuff, and I would imagine he is swamped with CF stuff; keeping both websites up, new videos, the tour, etc... It would be nice to have someone dedicated to bringing us Joe news..Like:
-An update on the Paris DVD
-An explanation on the switch back to Marshall
-New gear in development??
-Joe's plans after the tour
-Updating stuff like the guitar gallery on here, and maybe a section that describes what gear Joe is currently touring with and how it is set up. It would be nice to see Joe's guitar collection and rig setup that is more recent than the Crystal Planet era.

I could go on, but I think I've said enough, and my message is too long already.
Am I the only one that feels this way?? If so I'll shut my mouth. I appreciate being able to connect like this and the random shout outs from Joe, but I see some other musicians that keep their fans a lot more informed than I feel we are sometimes.

I hear ya TURBO. I'm hungry for some news on all those fronts. It's hard being patient when we live in a society of instant info, (i.e the internet) It was much harder being a fan back in the day when you had to check your literal mailbox for hardcopy fan newsletter. Have we become spoiled? Absolutely. Do I still want news? Yep.

hehe ____________________________________________________________________ Sucba: I have too much play in my trem arm already. It can be adjusted so it fits tighter in there???

Agreed TURBO. I'm especially interested in the plans after the CF tour is over.

I'm glad to hear the Coldplay case is over, i just hope it went the right way. The fact that it ended while Joe's on tour worries me a bit.

cheese; congrats on the tix!! must be somethin real special to not only have both your parents still with you, but 65 years is totally awesome! obviously a love story for sure!

anyone out there happen to work in Human Resources and prescreens resumes or does the hiring? looking for critique on my resume. i live in RI in the U.S. and this state entered the recession first and looks like we'll be the last to get out of it. so it's pretty bad around here for jobs. starting to get desperate and have been applying to jobs i really don't even want, just to get something. anyway some critique from someone who does this stuff would help.

I can't see how it could have gone the right way. Whichever way I look at it all I see is that Coldplay have got away with it. Not that i'm particularly bothered, not my business. I just hope Joe is happy enough with it.

Hi Scubadaz,

I understand why you suggest changing one string at a time, it saves you lots of time. But it has some disadvantages, namely you're never able to clean the guitar properly under the strings.

I always changed them all at the same time. After a while, you get used to the compensation you need to give each string (I start with low E) to make them close to the final position.

Just my two cents...

Cheers, VP

Turboian, Thank you for your confidence in my descriptive qualities. From the comments I've read from the Coldplay fans, I'd have to say that pretty many of them suffer from a serious case of Assholism. I'm also thinking that the king of that very same A-hole crowd will not be able to keep his mouth shut and will say something in an interview soon.. not that I'll be searching for anything about Chris Martin, but feel free. lol!

Don1963, sorry about the job situation. I still can't wrap my head around just how bad it really is, and how it got this way.

Anyways, back to Joe - Joe & Leslie - Stormy Monday

Man, I love that shit!! I could listen to Joe & Leslie play together all day!

Nice, so our melodic guitar favorite's new solo album can be a DOUBLE album! The budget is in! Or the Paris DVD in BlueRay. Come on Joe: I am starving for your solo stuff !!!!!!!

The President of the United States speaks to a joint session of Congress and Knucklehead/Loudmouth Rep. Joe Wilson shouts at the President, "You lie!" How civil, how respectful of the office of the President of the United States.......NOT! This country is tied up in knots over BIG (unhealthy) HEALTH INSURANCE CORPORATIONS that have broken our collective health needs down to commodities with huge pricetags!

I feel ashamed, embarrassed, ackward and extremely perplexed about the standing of the United States in relation to the rest of the world in the way we provide/distribute/manage our already rationed fragmented heathcare! Mental heathcare is another component of the equation that gets extremely short shrift........I'm given a prescription and shown the door........tranquilizers and more tranquilizers!!!

Why doesn't the doctor just give me a shot of sodium Pentabarbitol and that puts an end to my whole physical and mental misery........Oh, no! That flys in the face of the Pro-life, anti-abortion ppl who really enjoy and have invested a lot in the suffering of ordinary people like me.........so they can manipulate and shape me into their political pawn to do their dirty work for them!

Morning all- Glad to see some resolution in that case. Maybe the Cold Play fans will quit making such ugly comments on certain media sites about Joe. The only way ColdPlay could redeem their selves in my eyes is to publicly apologize for all their smug shite. I believe they do suffer from that disease Michelle so aptly described. But now its over.

Cheese - congrats to your parents . 65 years is a Love story for sure .My parents had there 50th anniversary last year . We threw a big family blow- out for them. A huge party complete with horse drawn wagon ride at dusk . Good times.

minimoog-congrats on the guitar . I t sure is pretty. I dont play guitar . Started to as a kid and never stuck with it or took lessons . I could kick myself now.
