mcdave & blue; the whole world is pretty much f*d in my opinion. can't think of a single government in any country anywhere thats doing the best thing for its people instead of trying to make themselves rich. even here with the so-called health care reform crap going on. how can you fix the health care system without INSURANCE REFORM! no one even mentions that. the reason doctors order so many tests is becuase they get sued left and right. i've been saying for years that this country needs another revolution and they all better run and hide if by some miracle i ever get rich enough to not have to work for a living cause i'll be the one starting it!!! my signature on another board reads " Truth, Common Sense, Kindness and Personal Responsibility are 4 qualities sorely lacking in this world". so there!!! i feel better now, sorry i shouldn't even get started.
cool b-day date for your mom ibanez!
elpp; been waiting for the NFL season to start. we have our QB back and healthy mr Tom Brady!! even the mrs started getting into it last year. know that she understands the game a little better she gets real excited.

Roo, I apologize for any incorrect assumptions. The CD on your site that contains the live at the Cabaret concert is actually incomplete. Surfing with the alien is cut off near the end and its missing Crushing Day, which is actually the last song. I know because I taped it off the radio in 1988. I know you didn't create that CD, just thought I'd let you know since you're a huge collector. The recording I have is not as good in quality as whats available online but it is complete.

I just bought a bunch of Beatles remasters at Best Buy today. I've held off on buying any Beatles albums for years and years specifically waiting for remasters, so it's nice that the day is finally here...
I got the In Mono box set, and then the individual remasters for Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, and Let It Be (they aren't in the box because they were originally released in stereo).
I haven't listened to everything yet, obviously, but early impressions are that they didn't follow the "loudness war" trend with these remasters...that's a relief! More info on that is at Pitchfork.
There's also a stereo box set that has pretty much everything, if anyone is interested.

bluebuffalo: I would say it is nice to be back, but you know as well as I do that this place isn't much to come back to!! It was a relief to get off the Oregon roads, though.. I love our 75mph speed limits!!
Luckily the man let me be on the way home. I passed a couple of them and got a little nervous, but apparently I had slowed down enough that they didn't come after me. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them was the same guy that got me on Friday!
The worst thing is that my better half says the $250 has gotta come outta my music fund, and I was about to buy a new amp! That's harsh!!
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good one, thanks for the Tahoe vid links Tracie! I'll have to download those and keep them to show the grandkids someday!!
Listening to: Chickenfoot - Sexy Little Thing (so loud the whole town can hear it!)

I realize I'm in the minority here, but in 1975-76 I was eight years old and I recognized who I was listening to, were The Beatles. I really don't need to here Beatles on every radio station today . I've been listening to the same songs since 75-76. The promotion they are doing to rehash old songs plus a video game is too much for me. I'm going to watch a DVD and wait out the Money-Mania

GG2, this just isn't the place for your analytical rants. WTF can I do about trains just because I live in a state with lots of them??? I have a house, a family, a job, aging parents, and everything that goes with it. WHY would I be thinking about friggin bullet trains?? - It's not my thought pattern to think about telling my state reps and congress to build a gad damn train. There's something called a recession, and we're more than tit deep in it. I'm worried about putting my kids through college, paying my mortgage, keeping my job, and staying as fucking sane as possible dealing with people like you every day. Because I don't think about the same stuff that you do, doesn't make me or anyone else stupid or uncaring. Different people have different thoughts and different things that are important to them. Trains are so far down on my gad damn list it isn't even funny! I care more about human life, animals, and what's going on in my life, not things I have absolutely no control of. You also need to stop worrying about Al, He's not answering you because you are stalking him, going as far as friending all his friends is just being very obsessive. You need to talk to someone about that behavior. It's not something you should be doing to a 22 year old guy when yer married. I don't want to hurt yer feelings, honestly I don't, but just STOP using this forum for these rants about everything you have no control over. You need to make yer world smaller, and worry about Milli & Steve and the things you have control over. I'm sorry I had to do this again. Really I am.
Sorry folks <3

T2J Mafia - Thanks for the help and I will return the favor. You guys are the best.thugs a fellow mobster could ask for.
The success that Chickenfoot has had on this tour has to be on these guys minds and I hope they can jump back into the groove of things maybe with more US dates this winter ( so I can hit another show) and on to other parts of the world. Then maybe another album. I can wait a couple of years for a new Joe album as long as I can be assured he will do another one. The show in Atlanta was the most fun I have had in a while.
The backstage pass holders got some of their $ refunded because the band was not there when they got the tour. I think if I were these guys or any other band or celebrity I would be very concerned with this Swine flu thing. I can't say that I blame them at all for pulling back and avoiding contact with the general public. This may not be the case, just speculation.
Later...Peace

WHOOOHOOOO!!! The ELPP 6 DAYS OF 6-PACKS celebration is off to a rocking start
Mexico 1-0 Honduras
The 6-pack was there in front of me, but there were too many people in our table, so I only had 4. Still it was enough to get me totally buzzed. Plus I saw the game with friends from work with which I usually don't hang out, and they are crazy!! My jaw still hurts from all the laughter. A great start to the festivities
And then I come here and read today's posts...

Dear Mr. Satriani,
I am an old fan of your music and think that you are one of the most outstanding musicians in the world. I want to offer you a logo that I was created after listening your tracks. In your initials, you may see your favorite guitar in the logo. Perhaps you would be interested in. What address may I send pictures logo?
