Death Cube K: I've been with the store for almost two months now & I have been enjoying it ever since. I'll post the link to our store soon.

Pip55: Great to hear from ya! Glad your doing well.

Skippygirl & Michelle: Read your posts. Flo Rida & Beyonce? Wow, that must of been some, "Crazy in Love" or, "Right Round" dancing that you two were chatting about. I have some of their songs on some of my CDs and I do listen to them on the radio. By the way ladies, "AYE", "AYE", "AYE!" "Let's bring Chickenfoot down under to Australia." I also put in a good 20 mile run/jog today. Now I need to run an additional 10K to add to the 20 miles I have done and I'll have my marathon run/jog.

Well, time for bed. I work at the guitar store tomorrow morning. Woohoo! See ya!

Blues Saraceno

Such a brilliant song. The solo that starts at 2:04 just kills. It's a shame he missed the shred heyday. It's also a shame that he joined Poison, but that's another story.

Glitz Man : thx for the check.

Edit : if you are interested by what i do, my second instrumental album is in course of masterization. It's a fusion one, so it's quite different stuff of the first one. It will be downloadable around november.

pip - LMAO! The 6 hr rule is this: anyone going cycling the next morning must have at least 6 hours sleep and stop drinking at least 6 hrs before the ride too. This rule was brought in by the wives for the safety of all menfolk who had been regularly partying till the wee hours and then were getting up to go cycling, often for 50-100km, after 1-2 hours sleep and still pi55ed. So now the women tend to party on and the men all go home around midnight LOL.

And a guernsey is a sports top (as in a footy guernsey), they were all getting their cycling tops and stuff for the big ride they are doing this coming weekend.

Glitzy - thanks for the "aye" keep em coming we need Joe to read them and say "YES Australia!!!!" Good luck for your run on the 18th, I'll be thinking of you pounding the road on your way to 1st.

Axe - thanks for the vid of the soundcheck at Cabo, OMG how I need to get there, they haven't seen my air guitar yet!!!!!!! Oh hang on, I retired.

Cheese: The Milkshake news was definitely the best news I could read when I started going through last days' posts. Today I'm having a chocolate milkshake! Happy for you, dude :)

ALL: Thanks for the congrats! It was a very cool day. I rarely celebrate it, but this year I decided it was about time I gathered all my friends (or most of them): All the young dudes!

Hey, I just bought your time machine and wah pedals Joe. Wow! You are right, they just seem to play nicely together. I love the ability to really tweak so many settings on them to colour the sound.

I was really struggling to get a defined and clear tone with a zoom, but going back to pedals has changed the game completely... I am going to have a lot of fun playing with these!!!

Anyone debating a purchase of a wah, distortion or delay should seriously just buy one of these.. Cool.

Playing with google wave now, very cool!

Progress on the first guitar.. I've been researching clearcoats and discussing with the paint manufacturers. Looks like they recommend s 2-part auto body finish. I'll take the sample in shortly to get a test finish. Worst thing would be if the finish destroyed the artwork!!! After all this effort and expense.

I laminated the signed certificate of authenticity I made up for it. It's now assembled in a Perspex display sandwich... Yknow, like the ones the blackdog came with.

Hopefully the guitar will be clearcoated and reassembled in a little over a month for the big reveal! And for me to finally play it!

Roo - Funny you should mention something about your guitar and all. I just finished my latest model guitar, it looks quite handsome on my wall, I have already had two friend come in and go "WOAH, you have a Joe Satriani guitar on your wall!" below are some pictures of the finished project.

I just finished it this morning actually, It was not an easy job, I hand carved all the curves working with the real photo. The neck and headstock are all hand carved, made the bridge and tremolo arm from wood and metal, same with the pickups, I tried to make the bridge resemble and Edge Pro.

I know there are several mistake, not the least of which is that the guitar is a bit too small in and of itself. But overall it's a great piece of art, feedback would be nice, I might start a small business in a few years when I get some better tools, making decorative guitars, cool.

Full Guitar Shot

Close Body Shot

Close Headstock Shot

Real Guitar for Comparison

Enjoy

PS. Joe...do you have any idea how hard you made it for guys like me to copy your signature on that guitar headstock?

Cheese/Cheetos-Awesome chocolate milkshake day!
Satriella-Glad to see that you are still hangin' around.
Austin-Thanks for mentioning Dixie Dregs / Shapes (ringtone). Brings me back to the good old days. BTW, Steve Morse has two new releases just out, Prime Cuts 2, and Out Standing In There Field for any fellow Dreggies out there. Of course, Super Colossal bassist Dave LaRue plays in Steve Morse Band.
Still flying high! No post-Chickenfoot crash... WOW! Thanks to DON and DTS for Cabo links and phone call stuff.
Peace, Love and Joe!

Dear Joe Satriani! I'm a drummer, yet, you have been the biggest influence on my life to this day. i used to live in Greece, which meant that i had slim to none chances to see you play live. i now moved to London, and you re not playing any live shows anytime soon! Joe, as a person who's changed my life, i'd love to see you play live! yours sincerely,

LOL...Thanks cappy and EVERYONE for your happy wishes for my dad...he's coming along!

Went to do his walking for pt yesterday, he went farther than ever before but managed to accidentally pull his n-g tube outta his nose in the process...which coincidentally he was quite happy to have that thing OUT! I was afraid they might put it right back in and he hates that cuz it's so painful....but they decided to give him a chance to prove himself and see if he will actually eat enough by mouth that they don't hafta put it back in. SO! Out it stays, but he must eat whether he likes it or not!

He wasn't eating much partially because of the feeding tube giving him nutrition so no hunger pains at all, but also cuz the hospital food just doesn't appeal to him. So we changed up his meal orders to get more soups, fruits, juices, milk....AND get this....a small chocolate milkshake with EVERY meal, including breakfast!! LOL!!! So he's happier, he can finally see his own progress and a light at the end of the tunnel, he's more motivated to do his exercises so he can go home, and is eating better.

He's such a sweetheart, but his "gritch-factor" has now gone up....feeling his oats and getting a bit gritchy...I take that as a good sign, up to now he felt too miserable to care about much or be grouchy. He even sat up in the recliner in his room yesterday a coupla hours and read the Sunday paper a bit....surprised the Dr. when he came in to see him like that. Gettin more "normal" every day, but has a ways to go yet before he can come home.

When I left yesterday he and my mom were holding hands and he was swinging them just a bit....made me happy to see :)

I have tons of posts to catch up on here, but am gone out of town till Friday on work-stuffs, so prolly never will get caught up. But I've read everything, shout out back to everyone who said hi to me or my dad or made comments...lovin all the videos and pics, etc.

EVERYONE TAKE GOOD CARE!! See ya Fridee :)

LOVE YA JOE!

Happy Columbus Day & Thanksgiving Day (Canada)!

I pre-ordered the Chickenfoot DVD. Woohoo!!!

Peace Lily & Anibur: Thanks for the pre-order post.

Slanshroom: I have heard of Jason McElwain. I saw him on the news many times. What an awesome basketball player. He's going to do well in life. I know he has a job, but I don't remember where.

Lorenzo001: Great to hear from ya. What have you been up to these days?

Elpp: Hope you're doing well. I put in a good 20 miles Sunday afternoon. The weather is getting colder and we're in the 50s all this week & I have my races coming up on the next two Sundays.

Cheese101: Glad John and everyone is doing well. Have a safe trip on your work/business days. Prayers to all of you. I'll be thinking of you all.

Roo: How's the process coming along with the guitar?

Skippygirl: Thanks, I'm gonna need it. I hope I do well on the 18th, as well as the 25th (a 10K Run). Maybe we should do that mental chat in our heads, like when you taught me when I was running my races, but now let's do that in order to bring Joe and Chickenfoot over to you guys down under. Hope this all works out. "CHICKENFOOT: DOWN UNDER, IN AUSTRALIA"

Joe: I hope you, Sammy, Michael, and Chad will be able to make it to Australia for Skippygirl, Roo, Ozzy Fudd, Fatape, Dream3, Big Bunny, and all the Aussies. Best of luck to you.

Chat with you all sooner or later.
