The Cove in a cinema near you.
The Cove is a 2009 exposé of the annual killing of about 2,300 dolphins in a National Park at Taiji, Wakayama in Japan. The film was directed by former National Geographic photographer Louie Psihoyos, and was filmed secretly during 2007 using underwater microphones and high-definition cameras disguised as rocks. The documentary won the U.S. Audience Award at the 25th annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, United States in January 2009. It was selected out of the 879 submissions in the category.

Cappy:Do y have any news how yer friends partner is goin t cope? any government help etc, thinkin of her

Have a window t post so i thought i would share about my good friend Buddy rubbed out from a heart attack with only 40 years under the belt

Buddy was an amazing guitarist & music reader, i mean you could throw a bucket of tadpoles at his feet and he would play em! anyway...i couldnt make the funeral, was told i,d loose the contract if i went but i got the craic from a friend recently what it was like

Buddys fam are real heavy USA patriots, his dad is ex vietnam vet and like his ol man loved everything that came from his country that had quality stamped on it, he loved Vai & Satch, but nowhere near as much as SRV who he daily listened and jammed t a LOT i mean 24/7!

His incredible feel & timing for the sorely underestimated rhythm player he brought to everyone at college, i mean this man would never play the same chord twice! always an inversion of said chord. He landed a theatre gig called, Car Wash which ran f o r e v e r, which was totally him & on the day they burned his lifeless corpse the track Burn Baby Burn played by accident

I guess all i want to say is......if you have friends playing in concert... go see them! In all the time i spent touring only 3 of my friends bar my fam "and i have many" made the effort to come to the show....THREE!

Point is...support your friends & family no matter what....it means more than gold...no price on that....NONE

Slan - I think she is going to a state funded old folks home. Keith was a very private man, I don't know if he had any children to take her in. It's only recently I found out she was confined to a wheelchair, it was like he had two lives, one at home and one in the club. When he was out there was nothing in the world more important than winning his next game of dominoes, didn't matter whether it was for the league championship or a little game between friends. I think it was his 'escape' and he embraced it fully and he really got into the 'zone' when playing. Mebbe it helped him stay (reasonably) sane after years of caring for his disabled wife. Thanks for your care.

On the matter of supporting friends and family, come and play somewhere near me and I will definitely be there to watch and listen. If you manage to get over to see Clarkus Maximus i'm sure you will end up jamming, something i'd like to wrap my ears around.

Slanshroom--I enjoyed the concert footage you posted 30/9/09, Roy Marchbank & chamber orchestra Sogdiana. I would definitely turn out if you played in my neighborhood.

And I deserved that "...strip off ma kit and throw some w_ench!" comment. That made my day. Thank ye! I just love those games!

Michelle--You are such a wise-cracker! My funny-bone is still shakin' with laughter! Thanks for the George Harrison song.

Your buddyship with A. McKenna is a wonder to behold!

Peace Lily--Thanks for sharing your thoughts about peace and its portability.

Cappy---You and yer friend Roy! Priceless!

Because of Joe and Steve Vai and all you brother and sister guitarists, I am more in love with my guitar. Like Les Paul said, his guitar is his psychiatrist, a cook, a wife, a mistress and a great buddy! What a great way to think of your guitar!

Hope you all have a good Tuesday. Steve and I are off to Stanford Hospital once again!

Slan - Funnily enough I cook for Mrs Cappy about five days out of seven. The other two we eat out. But yes, when she gets back from the wee worky trip she is on I will give her a treat.

Scooby Doo - Tackle oot indeed, I do actually sometimes cook with nothing on but a pinny and footwear. She once brought her mother round unexpectedly and I met them face to face but completely forgot that I had nothing on but my pinny, they both obviously thought I had shorts and a vest on under the thing as it was summer, when I turned to go back into the kitchen I heard an amazing sound, MIL gasping in horror at the same time as wifey let out a hoot of laughter when my bare ass came into view. It was ages before she came round again, result! LOL

WooleyMan- My grandfather would eat chickenfeet and noodles, I remember seeing the pot on the table with the yellow chickenfeet and the noodles curling thru them and grandpa chewing on those FREAKIN FEET AND SLURPING UP THE NOODLES. Ever since I read your post earlier I can not get that image out of my mind. Kinda crazy considering I have been listening to "CHICKENFOOT " for months. Ah memories .......(shiver ...gag)
