Axeshredder - LMAO what a great interview thanks for that, which T2Jers were in the "sweaty gaggle of professional autograph hounds"????

Glitzy - so sorry I read your post and forgot to tap something back, how you doin my friend? Are your feet sore at all haha. Seriously, it sounds like your running is going well, I do hope Chicago wins the hosting of the Olympic Games and I can come see you run and meet a heap of T2Jers, Joe, everyone.

I'm 99% sure I'm getting a 2nd hand electric for my birthday - what do you recommend form your shop LOL? Long way to send it but maybe you have some recommendations for a beginner?

Hi Joe ! I have listened and practiced your music for 13 years, scuse me for my english, I am french. I love your music a lot but I have some critics on your benefits live now. I don't understand that : where your emotion are now ? When I listen songs from Time machine CD 2 (live) like echo, intro of circles, the crush of love... you add some fill on guitar than the original version, which are very good based on original scale, and in your music were very alive. Scuse me for my critics, but now, you play just emotion with blues scales (but you may like it), before it was a lot of emotion with break and improvisation with other scale which are lost with years. I hope you understand me and I just want the reason and why don't you play like 80-90 years ?

Hello everybody in WORLD OF JOE. Hope all you TTJ'ers have been doing well. I know I've been gone for awhile, but I'm still kickin' it. I still can't believe that the Foot stopped in on tiny Tulsa, OK. It was a dream come true. Got to meet Michael and Chad. Sammy autographed an album cover. Joe acknowledged a special sign we made for him welcoming back to Tulsa and he and Sammy took turns wearing my OU hat. Check out my photos at: TOTAL ACCESS CHICKENFOOT Peace, Love, and Joe!

Axeshredder Joe - Looking at the photo on the linky you posted I was somewhat surprised to see how Joe's hands were posed. From what I recall I got the impression from your surname that you may have Italian lineage, according to my Italian friends Joe's 'gesture' is quite rude what's your take on it?

Again, thanks so much for the prayers and thoughts for my dad and family, it means soooo much.

Yesterday was a very long day. We knew surgery was a given for some time later in the afternoon...and my dad just wanted it to be over already!! But he had to tough out the entire day. Lots of pain, no rest, lots of.....ick. The rest of my family came and went throughout the day, and Chris got there around noon, so he and I were there together to the end. We had to send my mom home, she was getting so tired and hurting but I promised to call as soon as I knew anything.

Time sure seemed to creep by...I wished I could take his pain for him.

Then all of a sudden activity! Time for surgery, just before 6 pm...and then more waiting.

Dr. Orlando came out around 8:30 to update us. Dad made it through surgery, although his heart acted up part-way through, but they got him stabilized again. He's in ICU, going to be in a medically-induced coma for the next couple of days, then they'll wake him and see how he does. Dr. said as far as the "patch" to repair the herniated colostomy, it was a "beautiful thing". YAY! Now we fight to keep it in place and dad quiet until it can take "root" in there and not be in danger of ripping out. He said right now, it's like wet tissue paper, so very delicate. He's on the vent, they had to clear his lungs of tons of junk first.

So now we wait some more....as Dr. Orlando said, he'll either sink or swim. My dad is a strong man, so I'm of course predicting he'll be up dancing in no time....but reality is, a long recovery, and therapy before he can come home.

Yesterday in the middle of all the struggles, he said to me...

"I'd give ANYTHING for a chocolate milkshake".

I promised him that the moment he's allowed, I'ma get him the biggest and best one in town.

So thanks everyone, you all know who you are :) I know your good vibes, prayers and thoughts helped tremendously!

Back later to catch up on all the stuff posted that I've missed...

*smootches and hugs*

Hey Cappy- you are correct i am Italian but I don't know of any meaning to Joes pose...and Ill bet he didn't either. Look at the other 2 characters to his right and you'll see this particular chair will leave your hand in a compromising position...ouch...lol....Joe hand symbol my guess is just a reflection of his organized and neat posture....which can relate to his organized and neat guitar playing.

Hi Everyone,

My friend is doing well and his job interview was good. Not sure if he's got the job or not. Economy here and all over is crazy these days.

Skippygirl: Great to hear from you. As for the Olympics, I don't know which city is going to get it. Chicago, Madrid, Tokyo, and Rio are all good cities. My legs are taking a rest this week from running, but I'll be putting in more miles soon. I have two races this month (18th & 25th). The first is a 5-Miler & the other is a 10K. Maybe I'll do a marathon this November. The Olympics might be out of the question, but I do want to experience the thrill of being there and watching all the events.

Okay, speaking of Olympics, I think it's between Madrid (my choice) and Tokyo.

Michelle & Cheese101: Prayers to John Selby. Glad to hear he's doing well. The next time I have another race, I'll dedicate it for John and for you two & your families.

The guitar store is going well. I sold one & some guitar picks yesterday, which was awesome. We will have more coming in later this month. As for my other job at the hotel, business will pick up this weekend. I still haven't heard back from my previous employer yet (about going back).

Well, gotta run. I'll chat with you all later.

Cheese101/Tracie: I really don't know you very well but I've been reading about your family's courage in your posts. i have to say I'm deeply moved. Fathers are very special people. I lost mine in 91 after he suffered from Parkinson's disease for 20 years. I would give anything to see his face again.

I wish you all the best and your Father a speedy recovery. May God bless and keep you.

Cappy Steve: Yes, you're right about Rio de Janeiro.

T2Jers from Brazil & South America area: Congrats to Rio de Janeiro on hosting the 2016 Olympics. The first time the Olympics will be in South America. They're probably celebrating down there big time. Maracas playing, dancing the samba, IT'S CARNIVÁLE!

mikesb: I have Rio in my head to, as well as Hungry Like The Wolf, etc. Now I'm thinking Duran Duran.

Cosmic Ape: Not only the World Cup & the Olympics, but I heard that Rio is a neat city to visit. I wanted to see that Christ Redeemer Statue and see the beaches.

GuitarFox279: Welcome to the site. Another Indy Native; sweet!

Michelle & Tracie: What's the word ladies? Hope things are going well after John's surgery. Prayers to John Selby and the families! Stay Strong John!
