I've been gone for a while, dunno if anybody noticed or missed my random ramblings... too much stuff to do! you know, COLLAGE can be such a pain sometimes ;)

also, I just bought Logic 9 Studio and I'm going nuts with it! Finally I'll try to record some music and hopefully have something out pretty soon... I've also been working on a website for my art stuff, so I haven't had the time to breathe let along post anything anywhere!!!

but I'm going to see the Foot with DTS and Roo on Sunday so we'll have a good time and hopefully I will relax a little...

Cheers

It´s really tough reading the reviews of all the Chickenfoot shows in America when I travelled all the way to Copenhagen just to face a cancellation of the Copenhagen-show. Aouch...... it still hurts!!! Really do hope there´ll be a Chickenfoot-DVD out sometime, like Joe was talking about.

Do the Stu: Been back from London for a while now - just wanna let you know that the U2-show is highly recommendable. The band is in top-form, spicing up the show with lots of humour and Edge doing the Chuck Berry-move aso. And with 90.000 people at Wembley singing "I still haven´t found what I´m looking for" so loudly that Bono gave up and put the Mic down and let the audience finish the song we really had a party. So if you do have an extra dollar to spare and go to the show in Pasadena you´ll be in for a treat.

For my part I picked up the CD before going to the show because Bono has a way with words and I´m not always able to understand what he´s singing, due to the Irish accent, I guess. The lyrics are genious (as always!) and the last four lines on the CD go:

Choose your enemies carefully cause they will define you. Make ´em interesting cause in some ways they will mind you. They´re not there in the beginning, but when your story ends. Gonna last with you longer than your friends.

The words of a war-zone correspondent contemplating at a cafe during ceasefire, I think........ ....I like it!!....

Have a good one, best to all from Denmark

Hello Joe!!Hello Friends!!

This is Marcelo from Argentina and of course, I love everything Joe has made. In fact I believe Joe is from another planet becuase of his guitar playing. I saw some of his shows here in Buenos Aires and I enjoyed them a lot!! Luckily Joe is coming to Southamerica from time to time and we have the chance to see him ofthen. Thanks Joe!

I would like to make a question:

Do you know if there is any recording (audio/video) of Joe when he was at The Jammy´s with some others musicians like Peter Frampton just to name one of them? I believe that was in 2006 or 2007 I really don´t know if there´s any DVD or CD of that and I would love to hear/see it. I have read some reviews of that show and I knew it was an amazing performance.

Well, I don´t want to bother too much. I will appreciate any help you can give with this. Thank you friends, Thank you Joe. I ADORE YOUR MUSIC. My Best,

Marcelo

slanshroom DZ can afford backups.. but how many gigs have you gone to with one amp? same thing ... the axe fx crushes the 2101 and the pod and the pre amp section feels right

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes for my folks...it's kinda hell gettin old sometimes :(

But we had dinner with them after I got back with Chris last night and it was good to see my dad actually eat "real" food...getting some appetite back is always a good sign I'd say and it will help him build up his strength again. For breakfast yesterday he requested.....ice cream and Mountain Dew, lol...which he got. But for dinner it was chicken and veggies :)

They kept thanking me for helping them...and I kept saying no need to say thanks, that this is what families do for each other.

Don't they?

Anyway, I shall try my best to drive safely not only on Tuesdays but also on Fridays and Saturdays since those are our main travel days this week...oh and Sundays too when I get the Chrisper-dawg home :)

See all u Chickenheads soon, LOL!! :)

Only 12 hours to go until show time! Looking forward to Davy Knowles. Never thought I'd see Queensryche again. Too funny. Must have been around 1988 when I last saw them. Completely pumped up for Joe (& Chad)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just hope Sammy doesn't yap too much & Mike doesn't lose his Jack Daniels all over the stage. Seems so odd for Joe to be around, but he does appear to be having fun with these guys. Quick couple of hours of work and then off to Berzerkeley and some Satch time!!

Peace Lilly - it's funny, your post wasn't there when I started typing in the link... I must have taken a while to find the vid I guess. It's well worth a few watches huh : )

Ozzy Fudd - now that's a storm! You all sorted now?

Gotta Have Joe - K, that sucks. Good wishes for your BF & your Pop

Skippy & Cappy Steve - peeps, you gotta stop calling me pippy, that's my bedroom name only lmao. You gotta stick to Pip or I'll get the wrong idea...

Burly - wow, sorry to hear that, I hope she gets better soon. Good vibes to you and her

Don1963 - no worries, Threw you a quick mail as requested

Cappy Scuba & Slansh - thanks for the little comedy skit. I laughed out so loud that I got asked what was so funny... couldn't explain, had to say 'private' joke...

Roo - guess it depends on the artist & the venue... but essentially what Scuba says went for CF london. No flash. Trick is to put the camera on night setting WITH flash and put plenty of black tape over the flash.... there's two genuis photographers on here that gave me that tip, one called Brian, one called Luini. Then hold very very still!

PTRocker, Blue Moon & Axeshredder - hows about a little nod/credit to Peace Lilly for posting the "Joe in a garage playing a cheapy guitar" (lmao) clip several days previously ; )

Cube - interesting about Dweezil. I'm sure for the first couple of albums he did he was promoting a zoom so he's obviously likes his multi-effects (as did, not sure now, Nuno)

Which reminds me, I really must get my ME-5 fixed....

Have a good weekend everyone

Picked up the first guitar body Wednesday and got to catch up again with my friend. Very excited. It looks awesome. I cannot wait to get it sealed and reassembled. I can't handle the body too much till then - I don't want to get oils on it from my hands.

Pip: great tip thanks!

Berkeley tonight! Woohoo!! Hey joe, how about a "Hi Roo" from you tonight? Have fun, I am gonna have a great night listening to an incredible rock band!!!

Hey Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well. The guitar store is going well and so is my work at the hotel.

Tomorrow, I have my half-marathon run.

Fort-4-Fitness There's a picture of me with all the other participants from last year running on that website. Just go to the bottom and look at the picture of all the runners. I'm near the front wearing a tye-dye shirt. I probably will wear it again to stand out from everyone and you all will recognize me.

The race is sold out and about 5,000 people are in the four mile or half-marathon run.

Well, I better run and pick up my race-packet for the run tomorrow. Wish me luck you T2Jers.

Good Afternoon Satchland..... What Up?

If I could add my 2 cents with the Line 6 stuff. I use to use a Pod Pro 2.0 going through a Crown power amp into the Line 6 412ST cab. I got great tone in the basement for recording and rehearsing. When I'd gig and the room acoustics changed so did my sound drastically. As you know "Live" there's not a whole lotta time to tweak patches especially when you use a lot to cover the tones in a cover band. So I sold it and bought a JSX head and had 2 - 212 cabs with 1-Vintage 30 and 1- G12H Celestrions in each cab built by Lopo Music. Plus I learned from a Bonamassa interview the use of the Auralex "Gramma Pad" This decouples your cab from the floor and you basically get the same tone every night. With my JSX system I'm spot on every time we gig. When we rehearse the only amp tweaking I do is the Master volume as the amp sounds the same every where with gramma pad. I love my system... sounds great, easy to set up, and I split the cabs to both sides of the stage and again the amp sounds the same ....always. I've never looked back and peeps compliment me on how my guitars scream. With all that said....lol... whew !!!!..... The Pod stuff just didn't work for me live but it's indispensable as a recording, rehearsal or jamming tool. Just my 2 cents..... end of rant......
