Life without the music of Joe Satriani would be a mistake - a humble opinion...although it's a very real opinion to me as your music has been as much of a force in my life as many of the most profound experiences that I have ever lived through. Sometimes it was your music that kept me going...

My question is, as I'm in the process of writing a book (several honestly) I'm wanting to include various things that I have come across that have inspired me greatly and perhaps changed my life for the better. I have been playing your music (attempting too lol) since the late 80's when I first picked up the guitar and consider you and Hendrix my most important musical influences. I am requesting your permission to note several of your songs at various times throughout my book (to allow my readers to know exactly what songs of yours I was listening to at what points in my life). What is your perferred method of obtaining permission to be allowed such an opportunity to benefit both myself as well as my (hopefully) future audience?

PS: To say I love your music is to say Jimi Hendrix was just a guitar player Joe...thanks for your contribution to life. In life, we listen to the music we enjoy but feel the music we love. Please let me know, thank you.

Minimoog- Thanks to the link to that article, that sounds awesome, a must have. Question is, anyone know US release date? I just saw UK mentioned.

ON a totally unrelated note ---I am starting to understand Wolf2's posts. Should I worry? :-)

Another Brick- Good Luck with writing your books. That sounds like a awesome concept . Hope that works out for you.

Roo - Your Miley remark made for good banter with Joe though, lol. Really enjoyed meeting you and it was my pleasure to help get you back stage!! Mike Manning wasn't budging when I explained it to him, but Joe lit up when I mentioned it to him.

I've got a great picture of you & I with Joe by the way.

I'm flying high today thinking about Joe's guitar and the CF experience!

I'm the home plate umpire for my youngest son's little league baseball game ("fall ball") in a few hours. Hope my mind doesn't wander to Joe's bits in "Turning Left" for example when I should be watching for balls & strikes, lol.

Bonus for last night was my nice chat with Jeff (& ribbing him for looking like the guy on Myth Busters). He is always so friendly just like Joe. Probably why they are such good friends & band mates.

Have fun Sunday and more importantly enjoy your visit here with your family!!

Slan - You know why they kept it a secret, the US administration thinks it is the world's police, not a great leap to include the largest satellite.

Minimoog: Joe is very good at meeting with fans that wait at the bus after shows (granted, you'll wait at least an hour). So if you don't go for one of those premium packages the next time u see him live, u should just hang around the bus.

Found out today that Kiss is coming to El Paso. Could not care less. I have never liked Kiss at all. And yet probably it will sell out inmediately...

elpp - Too funny. I was thinking the same thing with you, Michelle, MegaBoyd, DTS aka nitsua, ... It's '00 again and Webmaster Luini has just made yet another satriani.com website change/revamp, lol! Just looked through my Satch tix stubs and found my 12/28/00 San Francisco Fillmore signed stub. Good times to end the year 2000! I even joked again with Joe last night about how my wife & I used AWM,AWY in our wedding in July '89 and how we must be only one of thousands of couples to use that tune.

I do hope you are well elpp! :-)

Well Berzerkeley Chickenfoot sounds fantastic thanks for all the updates everyone, glad you had a great time and how nice are YOU Al Surfer to get roo in to see Joe? You have my respect.

roo - you know what I'm going to ask don't you?

Pip - noted, didn't know I had stumbled upon your bedroom name, ahem........

A bit T & E today, massive Grand Final day at our house yesterday, just finished cleaning up, the Panadol Rapid is just kicking in. And I am told by Mr. Skippy we are off to the guitar shop to get a guitar for my birthday in a couple of weeks woo hooo :>), any recommendations for a beginner's electric (I have to give back the borrowed Fender Tele Cali Series in January)?

Kayla: I was mad when I read your post about how things are going for you and family. The "Justice" you need may come from the Karma of the other guy who did all of that to your Bf's dad. You may never know about it but comeuppence comes slow and hard to them. Just concentrate on the positive things that can be done for you all now. Prayers for all involved. Best of wishes for rehab and healing for your Bf's dad. Time to count your blessings now to keep yourself sane. Be safe out there!
