Axe & DTS - Great finds on the sound checks! I agree, the last one is classic Joe!!!
Too funny - I followed a few sound check links and ended up with a VH one ("Top Of The World") where Eddie storms off stage as usual leaving Sammy & Mike wondering if there will be a show that night, lol. What a knucklehead. Videos like that just back Sammy when he says what a bizarre time it was being in VH. Sign of the times too with Sammy wearing a wrist watch.

My mom landed back in the ER today. She was having a hard time breathing and her chest was full of gunk. She sounds worse than she did the last time I talked to her yesterday - more congested. They gave her a breathing treatment to try to open her lungs up, and she said she felt a little better after that. Now she has bronchitis. FFS man, she prolly had it last week when she went in, but they said the tests came back clear then and were just worried about her heart. They also have to get her sugar down, and cut down on the blood thinner she's taking to fix the problem with her heart.
I told her I'm looking for a paper bag... she told me to shake it good. lol!
Earlier when I talked to my pop, he said they were trying to clear her "barnacle tubes". Yep, that happens when he's nervous. Words get substituted and i try to figger out wtf is going on. It's almost like talking to McKenna on a Friday night. lol!
I'm spent. My pillow is calling me and it's not even bedtime...or is it?

thanks Al & Lilly.....you can see its not a happy soundcheck to say the least....Eddie really brought the Rock and Roll spirit to a dead halt with his ego tripping those years as VH now fades away....as you can see its not just the music...its the friendship and the fun!

Michelle: Sorry to hear about your Mom. It seems like you could never get a break. I hope for all the best for your Mom & for you and the family. Keep us posted on how she is & all of you. Prayers to ya!
Skippygirl: In that case, use your NLP on Chickenfoot coming to Australia, and I'll use mine on my next two races. Who knows, I might use it on a marathon soon.
For Chickenfoot coming to Australia say "aye." "AYE!"
Time for bed. Early day at work (the hotel) tomorrow. See ya!

Axeshredder- one can see a big difference after watching the Cabo sound checks and then watching that one . So sad ., all that skill and too tormented by his personal demons to even enjoy it. That is why I love to watch Joe play, he never looks like he would rather be anywhere else in the world. And the same for Chad Sam and Micheal.
Michelle - your poor momma.! I have decided that our parents give us more grey hairs than our children. At least that is true of mine . My dad especially (heart and kidney issues but doin good right now.) Hope your mom gets better soon.
Skippygirl- every post? Okay here ya go

Thanks for all the "ayes" peeps!! Keep 'em coming!!
Cheese - give your dad a hug from Oz, it must be hard for him but it sounds like progress overall.
Michelle - you got a bit on your plate there, hope your Mum is better soon. Love the paper bag comment.
Al Surfer - I don't think Jagger/Joe did play Midnight Rambler, at least not on the Aussie tour but I'll check the DVD again.
AYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello to all from the sunny tip of Africa. Definitely feel left-out here by the demi-gods of guitar and such. Someone give me Satch's address so I can drag the bugger here to play? Not often one is moved to the heights in music that this man inspires. Good wishes to all

Hey! To all the guys bad mouthing EVH, please take into consideration the following: the guy is a guitar genious :)
Having said that, he may have a bad temper sometimes but we don't know what the other guys and the overall situation were like.
Also, we're looking at a sound check of a band that had been playing years! Those guys are tired of each other.
Chickenfoot is only playing for less than one year. Those guys still find that all new.
Imagine what would it be like if Joe ONLY played with Chickenfoot for years? Couldn't he also be "slightly" stressed out?
Guys, I know you (we) all love Joe, but be fair to Eddie and don't take the current Sammy's criticism as absolute truth.
By the way, I love Sammy, but he shows part of being a very little man when he insists on bad mouthing Eddie. Sammy owes Eddie a lot (and vice-versa, I know)
Um resto de bom dia!

And Scuby - love that car but the Porsche is more practical with the 4 doors - I wouldn't have to keep tilting the seats forward to get the kids in the back :>)
storm5hadow - that was HILARIOUS thank you!! Cried laughing cos it sounds like what I'd prolly sound like if I tried to play it :>) I bet Joe would love that.

Jjc2009: turn it up and stand in front of the stack. It's called feedback. Move the guitar around to encourage different notes.
