so we're in bed just about to fall asleep last night when at about 11:20 the phone rings. i pick it up and what do i hear...... a crowd going completely nuts, then JOE playing the first notes of Avenida Revolution! we got a concert call from CABO!! one of my wifes best BFF's called us, who by the way is gonna get big huge hugs and kisses next time we see her, was on the line from the show! yes Chickenfoot was playing and the crowd was going absolutely CRAZZZZYYY!!! the second song was Sexy Little Thing. we heard Sammy tell the crowd that this was Joe's first time in Cabo so they had to "F*ck this thing up tonight"! it was hard to hear sometimes (only about 4500 miles away and sounded like they were in a tin can) but man Joe was on FIRE! they played Soap on a Rope, Down the Drain, Oh yeah!, My Kind of Girl, a couple of surprises, including, Running Out, which Sammy said they hadn't played since the early shows of the Road Test tour and All Right Now by Bad Co. before Oh Yeah Sammy told everybody that Chickenfoot just was awarded Best New Band in the UK! he then told everyone that they were filming and that when he said they had won the award again everyone was supposed to say OH YEAH! he said it again and everyone screamed OH YEAH! in between that somewhere Chad said we aint a new band just four old guys thrown together. the phone call lasted an HOUR and we heard so much its hard to remember it all now but it was awesome. my wife's friend said she was gonna hold up a sign saying "Chad, Darlene says drop your drawers"! don't know if he saw it or did it but that would have been hilarious! don't know if Joe is staying in Cabo or not for a few days but i'm sure he will never forget his first trip to Cabo and i'm sure the audience won't forget it either. well that's about it, must have been one hell of a night!

Peace Lily and M - *Sobs loudly* Thanks for the "aye", Joe's made it to Mexico surely he can keep coming in our direction :>).

Happy Monday peeps! Have woken up a bit stiff and sore today, I think I have to retire from the air guitar after Saturday nite. I know I was doing Pete Townshend-style windmills, and alot of head banging air guitar with ACDC. Now my neck hurts LOL. It didn't help that I was doing Beyonce moves as well as Flo Rida imitations, theys just too bendy!!!

If I remember correctly, part of Crowd Chant is based off of Faure's "Pavane"

Cheese101 - that's fantastic news. I had a beer (ok, it was an O.J.... but a big one) in celebration of that! And some ice cream... and some cake.... and a mint aero. Mr Selby is obviously made of tuff stuff

When you said the milkshakes are on me, I heard it like this

Skippygirl - I figured nobody would see the double intendre... doh, fail! But talking of open to interpretation what's this "Mr Skippy is riding early tomorrow so we had to invoke the 6 hr rule" lmao

How was fish & chips? ... and what's a cycling guernsey?

Ptrocker - Happy Birthday. Get or do anything cool?

Scubadaz - all good things to those who wait

Blue Moon - squeezin that grapefruit out had to hurt... reminded me of this scene from Little Nicky

Don1963 - awesome to know about that show, gutting not to be at it. Haven't seen anything on youtoob yet but hopefully somebody shot something

Glitzman - how are you? I haven't been up to anything much, caught Mr Big in concert a few weeks back

Right, I suppose I should make lunch for tomorrow and go to sleep. G'nite all

Death Cube K: I've been with the store for almost two months now & I have been enjoying it ever since. I'll post the link to our store soon.

Pip55: Great to hear from ya! Glad your doing well.

Skippygirl & Michelle: Read your posts. Flo Rida & Beyonce? Wow, that must of been some, "Crazy in Love" or, "Right Round" dancing that you two were chatting about. I have some of their songs on some of my CDs and I do listen to them on the radio. By the way ladies, "AYE", "AYE", "AYE!" "Let's bring Chickenfoot down under to Australia." I also put in a good 20 mile run/jog today. Now I need to run an additional 10K to add to the 20 miles I have done and I'll have my marathon run/jog.

Well, time for bed. I work at the guitar store tomorrow morning. Woohoo! See ya!

Blues Saraceno

Such a brilliant song. The solo that starts at 2:04 just kills. It's a shame he missed the shred heyday. It's also a shame that he joined Poison, but that's another story.

Edit : if you are interested by what i do, my second instrumental album is in course of masterization. It's a fusion one, so it's quite different stuff of the first one. It will be downloadable around november.

pip - LMAO! The 6 hr rule is this: anyone going cycling the next morning must have at least 6 hours sleep and stop drinking at least 6 hrs before the ride too. This rule was brought in by the wives for the safety of all menfolk who had been regularly partying till the wee hours and then were getting up to go cycling, often for 50-100km, after 1-2 hours sleep and still pi55ed. So now the women tend to party on and the men all go home around midnight LOL.

And a guernsey is a sports top (as in a footy guernsey), they were all getting their cycling tops and stuff for the big ride they are doing this coming weekend.

Glitzy - thanks for the "aye" keep em coming we need Joe to read them and say "YES Australia!!!!" Good luck for your run on the 18th, I'll be thinking of you pounding the road on your way to 1st.

Axe - thanks for the vid of the soundcheck at Cabo, OMG how I need to get there, they haven't seen my air guitar yet!!!!!!! Oh hang on, I retired.
