This part of Tracie's post deserves its own post (albeit slightly edited), and not just now when things are tough for a lot of friends here, but everyday:

Be joyful for every moment we have together, and not think ahead too much. Human beings spend too much time living in the past or thinking about what might happen in the future, so much so that we miss the actual moment that's happening. And it's something we can never get back, so try not to miss it.

For me personally, I find it unfortunate that it took some major events in my life to realize that this is true, but better now than never.

Best wishes and hugs to all the T2J's who are going thru rough times. And hugs as well to the ones who are doing good, Joe included.

Hi Everyone,

I did that Fort-4-Fitness Run last weekend and it was tough. There were more runners and the course was all brand new. There was 2,280 participants in the half-marathon and I came in 45th. I was 13th out of 85 in my Age Division. My time was 1 hour, 29 minutes, and 19 seconds. I wasn't happy with the time because last year's time was about six minutes faster. But, oh well, there is always next year. I should be glad that I actually finished it.

I actually did another race afterwards, which was a three mile run. After the half-marathon, I came home and had about 30-45 minutes to get ready to go do that other run, so I didn't have a whole lot in me. There was about 20-25 in that run and I finished 2nd overall, so that was good. Two races in one morning is a lot.

Joe: Great to hear from you

Cheese101: Prayers to your family. My heart goes out to you, your folks, Chris, and everyone.

Gotta Have Joe: Prayers to you and your family as well.

How are you all doing? I might be going back to my former employer (Hilton). To make it short, management at my current hotel job isn't the best. One of my good friends left there and started having some problems (depression). He checked himself in at a rehab center, which was good and is doing way better. He gets to come home today, which is awesome.

Now I'm waiting for a phone call from the Hilton. I know a lot of them there want me back. The guitar store is doing well.

Well, I better stop now. Talk with you all later. See ya!

Tracie--My prayers go out to you and your whole family. With Joe's blessing how can anything separate you from your Dad?

JOE--Hello and thank you for the great tour. It was a miracle I got to go to the "Road Test" show at the Fillmore and meet Austin, Tracie and Chris and several other fans standing in line. That was a night I will remember for the rest of my life!

This afternoon I received Steve Vai's "Where the Wild Things Are: Live in Minneapolis" and can't wait to view the DVD and listen to the CD later in the week.

Please, Joe, I would love to see the PSATMOR tour "Live in Paris" DVD (as so many countless other fans crave this DVD). The last I heard, it won't be coming out until January! That seems like such a long wait after all this time......can't help feeling disappointed. Ah, well......"the best is yet to come" as Frank Sinatra said!

I gotta go back over these posts. I have 13 pages up yet. No time at the mo tho.

First - Burly, best of luck to yer daughter. That's some seriously scary shit right there. How is she?

Second - news on little Henry - "Henry had the operation on Monday at 4pm and he did very well. The doctors were pleased with the results and he is now resting in his hospital room. He will most likely remain in the hospital until Friday but if he stays stabilized he may get released sooner. " YAY!

Third - my friends mom doesn't know she's dying. They don't want to tell her because they know she won't take it well, so they're padding info to her and going about things on the slide. She's on comfort meds now because her usual meds ain't gonna float the boat she's in - so why bother. My friends daughter is getting married in Nov, and her mum is dying. That's a gad damn shame. Knowing MA (as I've called her since I'm 11), she'll hold out and be there rip, shit, or bust. Happiest time and saddest time. What a clusterfuck. The circle of life is a funny thing...

and then there's my T-Bones daddy...

My friend is settled in and back home. It's great that he's doing better. Tomorrow, he's going for a job interview. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him. We also celebrated his birthday early and I gave him my small boom box radio that I don't use much of.

Cappy Steve: When I was at the Hilton, I was serving and setting up banquets; serving, bussing, and playing host in the restaurants (there are two of them); and I was a houseperson and laundry attendant in the housekeeping department. At my current hotel job, I serve and set up banquets; I also serve, bus, do room service, and become cashier in the restaurant; and I also bartend in banquets and in our bar. Therefore, I kind of do a lot of tasks in the hospitality field.

Well, I'll chat with you all later.

Peace Lily - Thanks. Made of Tears is one of many of my favorites. Everytime it comes on I say, "Here is a good one" and turn up the volume. I am with you on wondering what inspired it?? Wish I was that creative.

Tracie - Thanks for keeping us up on what is going on. It helps to know exactly what to pray for. I love how you help us all keep our focus on what's important while your going through this. Beautiful words! Smart brother!

Pip - Hi Phil. Thanks for the welcome. It was great to meet you too. Hope to see you again at a future Joe show!
