Fatape, So we share the name Viv with our mum's, and Slan & I share the name John Lee with my pop & his son :-) Your mum must be a peach. She raised a son with a good heart. My best to you and yours.

My poor mum's got a lot going on. She has congestive heart failure, and her heart is enlarged & weak. That is making it hard for her to breathe. On top of that, she has bronchitis. She's gotta go for all sorts of testing next week. Hopefully her meds will kick in by then and she'll be feeling some relief.

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers, and good vibes. It means so much to us. I don't know what the future is going to bring, but I do know that I can always count on my friends here on t2j. Bless you all.

This was a particularly nasty week at work, everything that could fail did, from electrical short circuits to massive ERP software glitches. For a while I was expecting the roof to fall on top of my office or something! Nothing that couldn't be fixed though, just an extra-stressful week.

The Fight

Everyday it seems life tries to knock me down.

Constantly pulling myself up off the ground.

Getting battered, bruised and kicked in the head.

Seemingly never to end until of course I’m dead.

Always hoping to catch the smallest break.

Yet I’m always giving more than I take.

To me there can be no retreat and no surrender.

Have to keep fighting I’m my family’s defender.

So I will take whatever this life dishes out.

More punishment is to come I have no doubt.

There will be times when I feel low and depressed.

Life will do it’s best to keep me stressed.

But I will not falter I will not give in.

I refuse to let the bullshit of life win.

They say what doesn’t kill you makes you strong.

I really don’t know if that’s right or wrong.

If it’s a fight life wants then I will be ready.

I may not be the strongest or fastest but I am steady.

Someday I will best the worst life throws at me.
