In other supergroup news...I mentioned Them Crooked Vultures here a few weeks ago. Their album comes out next week (11/17 in the US), but you can hear all of it right now on their YouTube channel.

The first song is here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ6arQ-qK34), and you can find the rest in the links to the right.

death cube k - Sorry to go off on this, but my biggest gripe with the current version of Kiss is that Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer are dressing up as Ace and Peter. I doubt you had the chance, considering the circumstances, but I'd love to hear Tommy or Eric's real response to that. They're great players in their own right, but I couldn't go out there every night when a good portion of the crowd thinks you're someone else. I wonder why they do it...is the money THAT good?

Anyway, that aside, I'm glad to hear you had a good time at the show. How long did you get to talk to Tommy?

...Austin...

Joe....Love ya muchly!

DON1963 - I have to admit it but sometimes when you get served by people on tills...welll they dont seem tpo be too bright...not all I have to say...but what you said about management actually makes sense....mind you these days around here it seems that places are only interested in employing 16 year olds so they cam pay them peanuts and give them 12 hours work each so no-one is fuill time and get benefits from the company!

punkdude75 - CONGRATULATIONS

Glitz - Aren't you a bit young to be doing the veterans race! LOL

Do The Stu i spokw with him for about 20 minutes , got the run down on his guitars and stuff, chit chatted about influences ,he is a really cool guy down to earth , its a job for him.I can think of worse jobs. his make up and Eric is a bit different from ace and peter but not much , I saw kiss on the reunion tour in 98 with ace and peter , and this version sounded better . Dont get me Wrong I like Ace, if your shelling out that kinda money he was too inconsistent . I never asked aout how much it payed or if he could sleep at night .. if you met him you would say what a cool guy ..
mikesb that sounds like a fun plan

Got my copy of the White Album (finally) $9.99 for a new song and a bunch of incomplete songs. I'm feeling hosed here. Are we supposed to be able to watch the concert filmed in its entirety? Does anyone know that?

The record company has really sunk low, I think. With the fans all hurting for funds they pull this crap. They must not be interested in future revenue. "Let's screw the fans now, they'll forget about this soon enough and we can sell them another pile of crap again."

bluebuffalo: Thanks for the heads up on the conditions over there. Maybe we will spend a night at the coast just to see it during the winter.
I totally understand your frustration with the White Album. I made a pretty negative post about it a while back on here if you happened to see it. I also made a negative post about it on the CF website. I've found that over there, if the admin doesn't like what you say, your comments don't get approved. If you don't have something nice to say about CF or Best Buy, then you don't get to say anything at all. I was kinda pissed about that, still am actually!
Obviously they (record company, management??) are putting a lot of trust in the fact that since they are a 'supergroup', their fans will buy ANYTHING they release, no matter what it is (White Album) or how expensive ($750 Cabo Vegas package). So far this has been true I guess; the expensive ass tickets sold out in minutes I believe, and lots of people are buying the album again (myself included). I must say this DVD has made me wonder if the actual Live DVD that has been mentioned will be worth a damn, or if it will be footage from 20 different shows cut together with some live audio thrown over it.

All I've done is bitch about this since it came out, and I apologize. Without making my already long post even longer, I think it's just that my life runs on a fairly set schedule; every day being nearly the same. And Joe's music is always part of my schedule. Now here comes along this new CF DVD that was hyped up to be the greatest thing since the first CF Album, which was the greatest thing since PSATMOR, but once I sit down to watch it, after a few weeks of having the excitement about it as part of my routine also, I realized that for the most part it was a huge let down. Blah, blah, I've made my point. I'm sure I sound nuttier than a Christmas Cake....

Jesus, I hope my posts aren't carrying that dreaded 'golden' sound. Maybe I need some of this!!

Joe- I sure you can call any lawyer on a good way out of Jury Duty but many do have to serve so heres a few bits of info i would find important if i was called....good luck

At almost any cost, try to avoid being seated on a grand jury. Duty on a grand jury means that you will be hearing assistant district attorneys asking for indictments on a number of cases over an extended period of time. Grand jury duty is both long and tedious.

Always follow the law when dealing with the judicial system, but cop a serious attitude at the same time. You need to present yourself as unstable and stubborn to avoid any and all jury duty.
