Dang - I'll be still at work when U2 is on, have a great time Austin I would LOVE to see both those bands and I would have done the same thing if I had found a ticket for sale.

burly- hiya buddy, glad to hear the rice is almost in, did you get a good crop? Is your daughter able to keep her guitar up whilst she recuperates? LOL about Davy Knowles, I just didn't want to offend you with the observations I made.

elpp - well you sound smitten Mister, in a big way!

Joe - how about some blue, big guy?

So many different tastes in today's music--All right, Austin! You have your U2 and whatever other bands you wish to see/hear, buy albums.....you name it! Is Green Day on your list? Billie Joe Armstrong and JOE have something in common--they were both drummers before picking up axes! Now, I think that's cool!

Just logged into the youtoob thing and caught Sunday Bloody Sunday, he's going on about Ang San Su Kyi now.

Nice how they've made the Rose Bowl look like the Milky Way with the mobile phones.

Just saw an awesome U2 concert in the comfort of my own home. I still would love to seen them live though. Hey Stu what did you think of the concert?

I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'm tired so most of it will have to wait.

A few quick things about the show:

Muse is no longer the opening band...the Black Eyed Peas played first. I'm not a fan, but they were OK.

The highlight of their set was them bringing out SLASH to play Sweet Child O' Mine. I have have a crappy cell phone clip here (I hope the link works...if not, let me know). The video is in a funky format, but it plays in Quicktime just fine. I don't want to convert it to something else because the quality is already so poor.

I took a lot of pictures and some video, but they're all with my cell phone. I would have posted more throughout the night, but reception was poor inside the stadium. After I get some sleep I'll put everything up...

One of the coolest parts of U2's set, for me, was the start of I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Bono started the song as normal, but stopped after a few words and let the crowd sing the rest of the first verse and the first chorus.

I don't know if this is a new arrangement for the tour or if the crowd was just ON...but Bono seemed surprised, based on how abruptly he stopped, and I have to say if the show wasn't being filmed I think he would've let us sing all of it. So definitely check that song out on YouTube later...it was a good one.

That's all for now...I'll have plenty more to say after I get some sleep, though. :-)

...Austin...

Death: I didn't install them, a known Luthier did that. He has done several stuff to my guitars and they always seem fine, so I trust he did a proper job.

One other thing I'm not sure it's normal with my guitars is the amount of noise they produce. With the distortion switched on, if I touch the volume knob, I hear noise, if I switch the pickup selector, I hear noise... Basically, when I'm not playing even if just for a few seconds I have to switch off the volume. I've seen other guitar players do that and always thought it was normal, but that combined with the uncontrollable feed-back made me think the two are related.

Does any of you guys go through the same? Is this because I play a Strat? You guys that play with Ibanez and other recent guitars suffer the same?

Txs, VP

My girlfriend and I saw you on halloween 08 at house of blues in orlando, fl. Great show Joe, and we are both avid Chickenfoot fans too! I can't describe how much we love your music as you are our favorite artist! There is one thing I have been dieing to know Joe...I have owned the original edge and I own an edge pro, and I have never owned a LoPro bridge. What is it about the Edge Pro you do not like? I assume you like the original edge better as it is what I am seeing on your guitars. Happy Halloween Joe and everyone!

G'morning ppl of T2J!

Michelle--In answer to your inquiry about Scubadaz on Friday, last I heard he isn't posting to T2J anymore.

I guess some people haven't seen the rule on here that the only acceptable religion or spirituality is MUSIC. I have looked throughout the posts and wasn't able to spot it myself.....then I'm only human. Maybe someone can help me with this.

Austin L.--You are invincible when it comes to finding tickets to any concert you are determined to attend! Amazing and inspirational! I want to get to that level one day.

I'm in love with Steve Moritz--my boyfriend, lover, husband and life-long companion! He's my sweetie forever!

Ahhhhh.........love.....sigh!!

Death Cube K: you're referring to the little wire that comes from the pickguard electronics and is connected to the back of the tremolo? (don't know the exact name of the part - it's the tremolo final metal part where the screws go and you can adjust the springs tension) I remember seeing that at the beginning but truth is don't recall seeing that wire recently...

If that's the case, you're telling me I can fix it that easily? Cooooool... :) I'll check tonight.

I thought I just had to get used to it...

Thanks for your help, VP
