Another morning of taking care of a house that gets turned upside down at times.

Guitar practice and "Nights with Alice Cooper." He and Joe, Steve Vai, Slash and Steve Perry did some great recordings together. I like Q107, Calgary, Alberta! Great radio station. One day my man and me have to cross that border! These urls for radio stations online are great.

Gotta get ready and go to work again.

Austin : nice complexion! Clearasil probably won't help, sorry man.

Last night we'd just sent all our worldly posessions on the removals truck, cleaned the house and headed off for some dinner. We left the bonsai collection to pick up tomorrow.

At about midnight, the next door neighbour calls and he's just chased off a couple of guys in a car - but didn't get a full license number - white old model Nissan toranno 3-door diesel YGM ???.

They'd backed up and cleaned out the entire collection!!

1) how did they know I had them?

2) how did they know that was the right and only night to do it? - probably saw the removal vans there all day..

3) who steals bonsais?? Weird - but apparently there is a bonsai crime wave on lately! Who wouldve thought??

So later today I have to call to see if insurance covers them and estimate what they were worth.

Strange world.... I'm not too fazed, I don't hold physical posessions that highly. Seems strange for someone that collects a lot of stuff over time, but I just don't seem to get too distressed over this sort of loss. There's always A silver lining I feel. I wasn't sure how I was going to look after them here and then transport them. Now I can use the time I would have spent on playing music! :)

Now that autistic 4 yo that wandered off last night is a worry though. I send all my best wishes to that family and hope he is found quickly and is safe.

Cappy, I think I might have even tried Darvocet one time, and it didn't help. Might still have some? Next bad one I'll try it again. thanks! So, does a nose broken 3x mean you have a slow reaction time? lol!

Slan, the op isn't an option. They go in and drill out yer tubes to make the holes bigger. My feckin little bean head just doesn't have room enough when my tubes start to swell, and then the pain & pressure start. They'd have to be crackin' open my skull and taking away face bone to give the tubes more room. Now I'm not the best lookin' bird out there, but I like my face the way it is. lol! You'd figger with a nose as big as mine, there'd be room for extra feckin tubes. lol!

al, is that in the Where The Wild Things Are vid? I think we're talking about two different vids?

roo, filthy thieves! Did you have a moving company come in?

Michelle - YIKES!!! I would say that surgery would be the last option too. You certainly stay in good spirits considering the pain that must present at times. I hope that you find something that gives you relief.

I do - vodka.

lol!

j/k All I drink when I have a headache is hot tea. It's kinda just a way of life. Sometimes I go for 2 or 3 weeks without a bad headache :-) It's not cancer or anything life threatening, so on we dance.

Michelle - funny you should say that, a chemist here was quoted in the newspaper recently as saying that if you dunk a tea bag in hot water (as if making tea the short-cut way) and then you inhale the smell of the used teabag, the tannin in the aroma of the tea will actually clear your sinuses.

My daughter gets a bit of hayfever now and then and has been using the teabag trick, she says it helps. Can't hurt I guess?

Beautiful 33 deg day here, went out early for a 1 hour power walk, had the ipod and Crystal Planet and Coming Up For Air, all the spring gardens look spectacular, it's Melbourne Cup weekend, it don't get any better really.

Happy weekend peoples

I recently got married, and during the walk to the wedding ceremony a version of Always with me Always with you was playing in the background. it was the version of Ron Thal that I'm sure you know. In any case, later that evening I went on stage with my guitar and played one of the pieces of you that I love the most. Again, it is Always with you, always with me.

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp1weNHHyMc

Everybody enjoyed it very much and I even got them to dance in couples to it.

Hope you enjoy it.

catching up:

Michelle: we got hit by the cold front that dumped snow all over the Midwest, but the bad part is we only got the cold and not the snow :( today we should hit 67, a bit more normal for us.
As to why they called me, a device on our network failed and brought down everything else with it. A simple swap fixed it but there was no one at the site who knew how to do it, so they called me. Just another day in the office I guess :) Hope u're feeling better by now, couple of years ago I had surgery to fix my crooked nose and while they had me there they worked a bit on my sinuses, no problems at all since but like u say, your head is not helping matters there.

McDave: I really have no idea how u guys can live under those weather conditions. I'm lobbying to have my boss send me over to MN in the winter, just to experience it for myself...

Anyone else noticed no one posted in a 16-hour stretch Thursday night into Friday? Weird.
