np Don

its so hillarious how in the last 24 hours my videos have been pummeled with low ratings...and some pretty awful ones have been voted up....im sorry but if your any kind of fan...how could you rate any of the four vids i have less than 5 stars...screw the guitar...i have hundreds of dollars invested in thos recordings....i refuse too stoop to the level of multiple memberships and trust this contest is being managed by someone who knows the deal and whats going on over there...i wouldnt want the guitar if i was cheating to get it.....reminds me of when my tracks at the king of blues were #1, #2, and #3 and after the list was posted...well need i say, some pretty awful stuff made the top ten....anyone with eyes and ears will see the stars and totals mean absolute zero at this point....please cue me to a better vid than i posted please...ive seen so many and either the audio is bad or video is obstructed with heads...with no offense to those here...but really..lol

Peace Lilly - I'd agree with you. I love some of their stuff, others I can't be bothered with... but I can't touch vegimite lol

Cappy - really? I expect you have a better palette than me, it just makes me go yuuuuhhk (or similar). Bet you can do rice pudding too?

Blue Moon - not a fan of radio head or marmite lol. Did you hear T's question about Reno? Think I already asked you somewhere, so how's about it?

You may have to go in order to win back E from the read of it!

Cheese101 - is that a date then (so to speak)? Let me see... just planning here. Fly in the day before, trans to Reno, watch the show, go home that night. Oh hang on, that's even less relaxing than last time.....

Don1963 - yep, I did a couple. The way I read it the band will choose, and if that's the case I have a feeling on what will win, and rightly so IMO. However, the best video I've seen on YT doesn't seem to be up

Axeshredder - as per my post above to Don, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Webmaster is hugely tech savvy so I'm confident a safe system is in place, and IMO if the band are picking the winner I think I know where it's headed so I hope it's done that way

You have DM by the way

c'maaaaan pip, come to Reno, u know u wanna...take a coupla extra days to make it easier on yerself, lol!!

I don't think Mc will ever wanna come to Reno again since they wouldn't serve him booze even though he was 23....feck sake, that's just so WRONG!! They missed out on some serious $$$ from him, lol!!

I've voted on my favorite vids, done by my favorite peeps. I'll be glad when it's over though and we can all move along. Good luck to all!

So there's to be a webcast of the sound check and announcement of the winner tomorrow night....details, oh wise webmaster??

Pippy - Whenever I think of marmite I think of Worf in Star Trek TNG drinking prune juice saying how good it was and that it was a warrior's drink. For some reason (although my warrior days are far behind me) I now think of marmite as warrior's food.

Cheese - I do wanna go. I'll send you about 199 emails about it first (that's one less than last time) though. Work wise, the date doesn't look great, but I would def allow more time.

Blue Moon - you just know Cube is going to call you talking about In & Out with Mr Lewis...

Cappy - that all fits then, you're definitely made of sterner stuff than I am. If I was doing a Bush tucker trial that's the point at which I fail lol

Argh...you guys really are thinking of doing Reno again? I hated that venue.

I talked to my dad and he's interested in seeing a show on that tour, but I think we're going to hold out and hope for a San Francisco or Los Angeles date instead.

If all of you are doing Reno, though, maybe I'll head up there on my own... But wouldn't another city be more exciting? ;-)

I'm down for Reno. My last day of work is 28 January, so that won't be a problem! Just need to clear it with my other half, or talk her in to coming with me.
I agree, that venue sucks ass!! I will bet the rest of my paychecks that the X Hendrix tour doesn't come any closer to Boise than Reno, though.

We do have Metallica coming here Monday night, and I'm pretty excited about that. I've had my tickets since June, and just got the DVD they released on 23 November that was recorded in France in July, pretty good show!

Skippygirl - that's so rude! I'm laughing..... so, where can I arrange to get that done? Yeah, ok - my vegemite phobia would be straight out the window but she has very long legs...!! A lot of vegemite there alone (and moving on swiftly...)

In my best T accent "Reno sucks balls" but I was very happy to be there (I'm in the podcast, but don't blink for more than a few seconds) anyway. You coming?

Do The Stu - agreed, somewhere else would probably be more fun, although it is all under one roof lol. I have a lot of other things "afoot" but seeing Joe Hendrix shouldn't be missed

I want to see if Joe will break out Machine Gun as I remembered that being the one he mentioned that he doesn't like to perform.

Turbo236 - sounds like a cool weekend and Monday. Make sure you give us a review, and enjoy!

Axeshredder - G3 page? I worked out the youtube thing, thanks for the tip lol. Inferno Red JS1 or JS1200CA?

and as usual, I can't type after... say 5pm

Anyone fancy this? Rage Against the Machine vs. Simon Cowell / X Factor

nothing really Alan..and nothing more that the effort of my response..kinda surprising because i always find Joe/ foot fan to be very pleasant and grown up. its deja vu from the days i use to battle guitarist on websites...theres always someone thats a big man hiding behind a computer but will never face me....ive been playing guitar for 30 years and have learned the style of numerous guitarist...thats how i learned...not tabs...which will stall you where you are and youll never get better (there are exceptions)...ive been an ear player all my life...basically because i had no choice in the late 70's when EVH was on the scene...anyway im not offended..and ill stop there because if it isnt about Joe...i feel it has no place here...but that my opinion and im not telling anyone to agree. Peace is cool....so let it be!

Good Luck Pip on the contest...it seems many find your videos better as youve jumped pass manyin the lastt 24 hrs...WTG!....but the fact is...My videos of Chickenfoot rule..hahaha.

Just image if they announced this contest before the tour...i personally would have snuck in a tri-pod but the whole joint would have been filming it....that maybe an interesting idea next tour...

Yeah Austin, Reno is prolly as close as we're gonna see that show come, so I'll likely get tix tomorrow when they go on sale. I hated that venue, I really really did...but if it's our best &/or only chance to see this show, then that's where we'll go! San Fran is farther away but who knows....if I get tix fer Reno and then a San Fran or Portland show appears on the schedule, I'll consider those too :)

Pippy....lol......well ummm, if you need me to help u with a ticket, u'd better decide TONIGHT if yer comin cuz they go on sale in just a lil over 16 hours u know.....tick tock, tick tock.....

Joe....thanks from Chris and me both. You're the BEST and we love ya dearly :)

Wait...what? What's going on sale? What's going on? And who's being nasty where? And why is my head like a balloon? And how come some months drag on forever and December flies by? And why does everyone decide to shop on the same feckin day?

Like I says to Mabel, I says - what's going on?

I definitely need more sleep.

I'm 3 pages behind. I'll catch up sooner or later. I'm thinking later than sooner. Happy Friday peeps! It is Friday...isn't it?

edit: scratch that - I'm 5 pages behind. lol!

It's old, but it's still funny as hell -

deer santa:

I wud like a kool toy space ranjur fer Xmas. Iv ben a gud boy all yeer.

Yer Frend,

BiLLy

Dear Billy,

Nice spelling. You're on your way to a career in lawn care. How about I send you a frigging book so you can learn to read and write? I'm giving your older brother the space ranger. At least HE can spell!

Santa

~~~
Dear Santa,
I have been a good girl all year, and the only thing I ask for is peace
and joy in the world for everybody!
Love,
Sarah
Dear Sarah,
Your parents smoked pot when they had you, didn't they?
Santa
~~~

Dear Santa,

I don't know if you can do this, but for Christmas, I'd like for my mommy and daddy to get back together. Please see what you can do.

Love,

Teddy

Dear Teddy,

Look, your dad's banging the babysitter like a screen door in a hurricane. Do you think he's gonna give that up to come back to your frigid, fat mom, who rides his ass constantly? It's time to give up that dream. Let me get you some nice Legos instead. Maybe you can build yourself a family with those?

Santa

~~~
Dear Santa,
I want a new bike, a Play station, a train, some G.I. Joes, a dog, a drum
kit, a pony and a tuba.
Love,
Francis
Dear Francis,
Who names their kid "Francis" nowadays? I'll bet you're gay.
Santa
~~~

Dear Santa,

I left milk and cookies for you under the tree, and I left carrots for your reindeer outside the back door.

Love,

Susan

Dear Susan,

Milk gives me the shits and carrots make the deer fart in my face when riding in the sleigh. You want to do me a favor? Two words. Jim - Beam.

Santa

~~~
Dear Santa,
What do you do the other 364 days of the year? Are you busy making toys?
Your friend,
Thomas
Dear Thomas,
All the toys are made by little kids like you in China . Every year I give them a slice of bread as a Christmas bonus. I have a condo in Vegas, where I spend most of my time making low-budget porno films. I unwind by drinking myself silly and squeezing the asses of cocktail waitresses while losing money at the craps table.
Santa
P.S. Tell your mom she got the part.
~~~

Dear Santa,

Do you see us when we're sleeping, do you really know when we're

awake, like in the song?

Love,

Jessica

Dear Jessica,

Are you really that gullible? Good luck in whatever you do. I'm skipping your house.

Santa

~~~
Dear Santa,
I really really want a puppy this year. Please please please PLEASE PLEASE
could I have one?
Timmy
Timmy,
That whiney begging shit may work with your folks, but that crap doesn't work with me. You're getting an ugly sweater again.
Santa
~~~

Dearest Santa,

We don't have a chimney in our house, how do you get into our home?

Love,

Marky

Mark,

First, stop calling yourself "Marky", that's why you're getting your ass kicked at school. Second, you don't live in a house, you live in a low-rent, ghetto apartment complex. Third, I get inside your pad just like all the burglars do, through your bedroom window.

Sweet Dreams,

Santa

Do The Stu(Austin), Cheese101(Tracy) and everyone that loves Joe's music I am posting this looking for your positive thoughts and vibes in mind. My wife (Shannon) fell down a flight of stairs the Sunday before Thanksgiving day, physically she is fine. The problem is that she banged her head pretty hard and got Amnesia.

She has lost about 30 years of her memory. The long term memories she has right now are her memories from being 9 years old. She knows she's and adult and has her motor skills. She just doesn't remember me our kids, her parents, and her friends. It has been a tough two weeks for me and my daughters 17,16 & 13. It has been tougher on her she feels all alone, and ost and in the dark.

She understands what has happened to her and the possibility of her memory coming back is on a daily wave of emotions for her and all of us.

What made me think of posting this hear for everyone to read is her ring tone. She's had Always With Me, Always With You on it for a couple years now and she said she wanted to change it today. I put in the Satriani LIve DVD tonight and played the extended version of Always for her.

She kept repeating what a beautiful song it was, and that she had never heard anything so beautiful before. She was teary eyed, it brought tears to my eyes as well. Seeing my best friend, my wife, my lover, my soul mate in this dark place. And not being able to help restore her memory quicker.

I wake up and pray and hope that her memory comes back soon, so that I don't have to see that look in my daughters eyes EVER AGAIN. It is tearing me apart inside, but I have to be strong for her and for my daughters so that they don't lose faith and hope.

Joe, I've been listening to you since 88-89. My wife has been listening to you since 91 when we met. Throughout all these years your music and talent has been a constant in our lives. Your soul and spirit that touches us through your music has touched us once again tonight.

I believe Shannon changed her mind of changing the ring tone tonight, because she made a connection to who she was before her accident by listening to Always. I hope this is a step in the right direction.

If you want to see us in happier times I have pictures posted on facebook under Freddy Garza from our trip to the Lake Tahoe show. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?v=photos&ref=profile&id=1845528290

Freddy, Your post tonight really touched and saddened me. Thanks for sharing what you have been going through. I am praying for all of you, especially Shannon. Family is so important!!! You have all the positive thoughts and vibes that Brian and I can give. It is great that you brought Joe's music into it. Joe's music can really touch the soul. Keep your head up. You and your girls love will bring her back. It was great to meet you at Lake Tahoe. You will get back to those happy times again.

bluebuffalo - Freddy, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry to hear what happened...please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. You can always send me an email if you don't want to post anything here.

Your wife, you, and your family will be in my prayers...

Listening to: Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You

EDIT - I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but here is a direct link to our group shot from the line before the start of Chickenfoot's Lake Tahoe gig (found through the link bluebuffalo posted).

ANOTHER EDIT - Everyone here thinks I'm silly for all of the pictures of half-eaten In-N-Out, pizza, and other meals that I include with photos of any trip I go on. As expected, the teasing was in full force at Sammy's Cabo Wabo the night before the gig...but I do remember that before we had finished eating, Shannon saw where I was coming from and took a picture of her meal that night as well. I'm not sure why that sticks in my head, but it's a fun/lighthearted memory that I felt like sharing...
