Looks like the snow finally got to where it usually goes...those images looked quite nasty though, hope everyone is safe tonight.
We're back to our typical December weather, low 60's & lots of sun. But, they're saying we have a small chance of a white Christmas this year, so we'll see.
While on the subject of Christmas, I'm quite the grinch...can't wait for the holidays to end - and the whole year, while we're at it. This one was tough, and I'm sure several of you will agree. Here's for a great 2010. Cheers!!

elpp - Yes, I bought two tickets for the Downey show...third row center (woohoo!).
I have every intention of going (although I haven't yet decided with who), but that may change based on my job situation. If I still don't have one I might not be able to afford to go, and if I do have one I might not be able to get the time off. But I went ahead and bought tickets now because I figure they'll be easy to resell if I have to. But hopefully everything works out. :-)
What about you? Do you have tickets yet?
...Austin...

Hello ppl of T2J and JOE,..........I received an email portrait "Happy Holidays" greeting from Steve Vai. He is sitting on a royal red chair with his EVO at his side. He thanks all us fans for our support in 2009 and wishes us all a Happy New Year. My favorite quote on that page, "Music is Everything."
JOE--When I think of you as a special fan of Steve's and Steve likewise yours, it makes me smile. I hope thinking about this helps you smile, too.
Hope everyone who celebrates Christmas and/or the multitude of holidays (so many this time of year) feels the joy of sharing good times (including music) with loved ones.
Love, peace, happy times and lots of beautiful music!

I HAVE to go to El Paso to finish up my Christmas shopping. Wait times at the border crossing are 3+ hours. Not happenin'
Smart move Austin, those tix will become very valuable as the venue sells out.
I'm skipping that one, while I liked the song being played on the teaser video, I recall hearing Bridge Across Forever and giving up halfway thru it, so I'm not really a fan of them. I'd rather keep some money in the bank in case DT decides to do a special show to compensate their lack of touring in 2010. (Or in case Petrucci tours behind his next solo album)

Thanks Peace Lily for the link to the interview. Just wish they would announce they have accepted invitations to Australia :0).
Wonder who exactly has to invite them?? Anybody know, so that I can bang on some doors here?
Saw my brother yesterday and he gave me his Line 6 Spider III amp thingy - it's so cool!!!! Hilarious that I still can't play more than an open chord but I was able to plug in and play around with the effects and it's fantastic!! So much better for Smoke On The Water haha!
Can anyone give me some tips on what I can do with it?? I downloaded the user manual but it assumes a level of prior knowledge ("add dirt to the Crunch") so I have no idea....

OOOOhhhhhh Skippy, yer about to learn a whole new language, LOL!!! Fat, dirty, grinding, gritty, luminous, shimmering.....talk to a guitar player and yer eyes will glaze over :)))) Especially one that's a "gear-head" like my son...or Joe :) Have fun with yer new "toy" !!
Just hit a Sam Goody's "going out of business" sale....ended up with 6 "Live in concert" dvds: Nickelback, Joe Bonamassa, Creed, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and.....ish....Avril. Deys all be fer Chrisper...had to put several back cuz it was too $$$$, but there were several more tempting ones....EC's Crossroads 2007, YJM, Eric Johnson in Anaheim, Bon Jovi, and John Mayer. Looked for the UFO vid with Vinnie Moore playing, Dream Theater Score, and any Jeff Beck but they dint have those. All in all a very successful adventure :) At least Chrispie thinks so! I'd be richer if I'da stayed home in bed!!
