Thanks for the kind words and sympathies . :-)
Last time we saw him was at a nieces wedding......and thats how I picture him....... dancing to AC DCwith a big smile on his face.
Yes nice to see the blue ...wish it could have been under better conditions. I think it says alot about Joe's character to reach out to another human being that is hurting..while he himself is dealing with the grief of his moms loss.
Our snow is almost gone........its raining instead.

Hey Joe,
Just wondering what you thought about active pickups. I'm thinking of upgrading a strat I have to an EMG 81 in the bridge position and EMG-S's in the middle and neck position; what do you think?
I play mostly hard rock and classic metal.
Any input would be appreciated. I'm sure other members of your forum would be interested to know your take on active pickups also.
Thanks,
Curt

Good afternoon, Mr. Satriani. I have a very interesting, possibly assinine question. Hon, when I was 17yrs old(23yrs ago) my ex-husband introduced me to you and your gift of BEING the guitar (and he would even play his guitar for me at bedtime). I even watch your dvd concerts with my 20yr old son. My son asked me one day, when he was 16 for me to suggest some good guitarist so he could expand his knowledge. My 3 choices were Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix and: being the Texas girl that I am, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Of course, he feel in total admiration of you! Here is where the question comes in, didn't you ever record some tracs acoustically. I know I am old and have slept just a few times since I was 17, but I could swear my ex-husband introduced me to you playing an acoustic guitar on the recording. Please tell me yes you did and what the name of that album is. I am going crazy thinking that I am going crazy! From someone who thinks that you are extremely gifted. Thank You!!!!

MIKESB: You should've posted this performance of the wolf song. I was channel surfing when it originally aired, I had never seen her with straight hair...holy flurkin shnit!!
correction, straight blonde hair. She had black hair when she first hit it big in Latin America. I used to enjoy her first albums, now she's just eye candy.
