Oh I think Jimi Hendrix may be just slightly ahead of Dimebag in that respect. But a tragedy nonetheless..
This may come as a shock to some and I'm not at all proud of it. But Mark Chapman is my mom's 2nd or 3rd cousin through marriage. Pretty sick huh? I tried watching "Imagine" last night and I got kind of choked up. Dammit he was a talented guy..

Jimi wasn't murdered, though.
I'm not a fan, but I know Dimebag Darrell is very influential and I can see how his death affected so many people (fans and non-fans alike). I mean he was killed DURING a concert...I can't even imagine that.
Joe's ITLIS? shows at the Fillmore (the pnemonia gigs) happened just a few weeks after Dimebag was killed. I know Tracie/cheese101 remembers this, there was a kid who kept trying to put his backpack up on the stage next to Joe's pedalboard. And then there was another guy who ran to the front at the end, shoving everyone aside, to pull Joe's mike down into the crowd just so he could get a guitar pick. Those things seem innocent enough, but at the time they were a bit scary. We didn't know what their intentions really were.
I don't like rap, but another death that bugs me is Jam Master Jay of Run DMC...mainly because it's unsolved. Rap has a violent image, but he/they weren't a part of that at all and that makes it extra unfortunate.
Anyway...
...Austin...

Mckenna said plethera and used it correctly in a sentence....I'ma fall over with shock and amazement :) He likes to toss out those big and interesting words now and again just to stun us, LOL!!! Hi 5 Mc!!
Austin, Chris and I remember that incident very well, esp since Chris threw the guy's backpack over his head into the crowd when the guy wouldn't stop sticking it up there. I had a scary feeling about the whole thing, given what had recently happened to Dime. I remember security was extra careful about checking people over at the gate before that show...but security at shows since then has once again gone pretty lax in favor of moving people through the line more quickly.

Those incidents would be really scary, good thing people (cheese chris austin) were looking out for Joe. ..........
I remember when John Lennon died , it was so surreal...like why would any one want to kill him? Or Dimebag......for that matter.
Crazy crazy stuff.......

There is such a plethora of people spelling plethora as plethera that plethera has made the urban dictionary. Seems that if one makes enough speeling mistaks that they are no longer regarded as mistakes! Beer time methinks.

It's all right anyway. Joe, like all aliens from schleen, are impervious to common ballistic weaponry.
You need a glintzel pulse rifle to penetrate the harguyeeves shield that protects him.
Fortunately they only exist in the 11th parallel dimension, and cannot withstand the portal warp journey.
Isn't that right wolfie?

FFS! We all share the same world!
What's with this Copenhagen accord? I hope they put aside politics and get down to agreeing on limiting green-house gases. I hope the USA can swallow it's unilateral pride and join the rest of the world in changing to cleaner energy sources. Maybe things are different with President Obama.
Gotta get back to a list of Satch songs....favorites I'm gonna post.

Theres an increase in carbon tax coming in tomorrow...
also petrol/diesel will have gone up in 45 minutes to around $7.50 a gallon here, no wonder yis all have v12 120 litre engines across the pond!
What gets me is that a country as small as Ireland which will have almost a 0.01% impact on the enviorment and climate has all these carbon, green taxes, ridiculius insurance and motor tax on cars... its insane and nonsence

Al - one way to help avoid/reduce all the expense is to own a business ( I presume you are in the Alan Mckenna music business not an employee) and you claim it all as deductions from your income. They you too can have a V12 monster but claim it on your tax return for the business.

SkippyGirl --Boo Hoo!!! Today was the second time in 2 weeks my guitar teacher didn't show up for our lesson! I'm extremely perplexed. I sent him an email last week 12/2 and he said he would be there on 12/9 and NO SHOW!! I have been practicing until my fingers hurt!
BlueMoon--Alan, I drive a V6 and prefer to walk to as many places as possible. Your small green country sure looks attractive! Everyplace in the countryside looks like well-watered lawns---it's got me a bit jealous. In Cali we have to hope for lots of rain or turn on sprinkers to get that bright a green! BTW, I got a luni gift from my luni elder sister at Thanksgiving......unbelievable! She gave be a four-leaf clover stuffed/sewn creature dressed up as a leprechaun! It has a round orange nose, beady black eyes and holds a white ribbon with "Luck O' The Irish" in green letters on it....and when ya pull it's string, it vibrates and dances!!! HOW EFFING EMBARRASSING!!! O' course what are sisters for? Giving their siblings silly, goofy, embarrassing gifts!!!
I'm gonna go hide now. scuse meh!
