lol everyones budget is goin t be different Cappy, i spent about 40 grand on decent gear over 5 year t produce decent recorded work, learnt from friends, books & the web how t engineer etc so that cut down costs considerably, it is incredibly time consuming learning the ropes but once its in the noggin its all plain sailing t scuse the pun, end o the day its a huge relief t record whatever instrument i wish whenever i get inspired & get great sounding results :)

I found this very interesting on the FAQ forum from the vai.com website., the person that asks Steve a question is absolutely true, LOL, and Steve´s response is accurate as well:
Dear Steve, I noticed in your first 2 albums you gave a lot of credit to God. Being a Christian myself, I really admired that, but in the song "Fuck Yourself" you say "the Lord will be fucking...." Steve, I laughed so hard at that song but that line seriously offended me. At St. Andrews Hall in Detroit during "For the Love of God" you looked up said 'thank you', to God I presume... I just want you to know I think you're the greatest guitarist ever to walk the earth, I just wish you would respect God a little more because He gave you the gift.
- Sirfrums
"Sorry, I did not mean to offend you. That particular line in the song is aimed at people who use religion as a means of personal and monetary gain." The actual line reads "fuck yourself with organized religion, now that is some seriously sinnin' business, if the Lord sees their pathetic crimes, He'll be fuckin' them 'til the end of time". Fear not, however, if that doesn't offend you there are a hundred other things in there that will. :)"

LOL....
I love this You tube comment..........
"Satriani" should be made into an adjective. So if there's something that's better than perfect, you can say, "DUDE, that shit was SATRIANI!"
For this performance of Revelation
Anyway..........yeah.....

Sammy's a manwhore compared to Joe IMO. Guess it's just his "persona" beings I don't really know the guy, but Joe's audiences aren't all dude guitar players like they used to be when I first started seeing him play. Might even be 50/50 now - and every chick at a Joe show isn't attached to a guy either. I also think almost as many girls are bringing the guys along for the ride as vice versa.
Anyways Mr Wooley, did you really ditch her because of that? If ya did, then she prolly needed ditching anyways and yer both better off. My husband once threw one of my cassettes out the car window while we were driving before we were married. He's not a big fan of the B-52's LMAO!!! It was more funny than it was upsetting, and we still joke about it to this day. Friggin' hilarious! I think I used to listen to it just to work on his nerves and entertain myself. LOL! Dat ain't no Chickenfoot!!
Here's some Chickenfoots for ya!
edit: PL - nice vid of Revelation!

Just hauled out and listened to all my old Frank Marino vinyl, tape and cd's. This guy is the SHIT!! The next G3 should go old school and lock him up for the tour, cause he can play circles around most of the talent out there today.......find a copy of "The Power of Rock n' Roll" and give it a listen.

"Everyone here remembers Joe's Spongebob Squarepants boxers anecdote, right? From the G3 tour with Vai and Malmsteen I think it was...hehe."
Austin--I missed some great JS concerts. That's what happens to a Banana Slug type person who loves to take walks among redwood trees..and is way too California paced!! JOE.......Thank, God...you didn't have to hit me over the head with one of your guitars to get me to focus my attention your way and listen, listen, listen!! Anyway.....Austin, seeing/hearing Joe with Chickenfoot the day I met you and Tracie, Chris and a couple other ppls was the first and only time I've seen Joe live! How about that?! Ironic, isn't it? RipVanMilli! LMAO! :-D
Good-by 2009.....Hello 2010 and my hopes and dreams for a better year.

Ahhh.....Jackson Browne..."Tender is the Night"............beautiful song. That was the 1970s......Then Joe Satriani came on the scene in the 1980s with the blessings of Steve Vai and......ppls lives were never the same.....musicianship was never the same! Songs from SWTA, ITLIS, Crystal Planet, EOC......the Happy New Year's song CHAMPAGNE? Lovely.....nonalcoholic ear effervescence!!! I just can't get enough of Joe's love songs!
Michelle--Thanks for "Just Like Lightenin'" that reminds me what a groovin' funk master Joe really is.....the Professor pre-dates PSATMOR!! :-)
Have a lovely New Year.......That includes you lovely ppls on the brightest green island in the world.
And of course.......Blue_Moon Alan....I love you Mr. Mc! ;-)

Revelations must be about my 2nd fav to play... After AWM of course.
Mostly unpacked... Said I had to "test" my guitars to see how they faired the trip. Felt so good to play through the Marshall again. Played for a while then went out to help with more unpacking. Wife was surprised I wasn't that long, but I told her I'd only tested the first guitar, still have 6 more to go! Lol!

Al...So what was on the menu at the Jade Shamrock?
At our local chinese restaurant they sometimes have a 10 or 12 year old chinese kid working the cash register. He never says a word...like...thank you? Rude little prick. They treat the customers like cattle basically...but the food is good..haha.
