I was at Best Buy this afternoon and saw that the regular Chickenfoot CD is on sale for $7.99 this week...I'm pretty sure that's the cheapest it's ever been. The deluxe edition is $13.99.
Just a heads up for anyone who might not have the album yet...
Listening to: Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory (current song: Strange Deja Vu)

Peace Lily - true enough. We get our fair share of 20's here but never below zero temps. It's wild...I come from a very cold state but I have never been apart of this. It's been crazy here. 14 inches of snow for xmas and now this. Oklahoma is the frozen tundra right now!

PL - thanks for that, went back and foound the DVD pre-order and did that too.
Chelle - OMG they left the baby in the car whilst they went into the chapel. I kept saying at the TV "get the baby!!" The guy in the boot of the Mercedes was a hoot, too.
Anybody know whose interview it is with Joe on the Paris DVD?
Nobody going to NAMM?
Fatape - you managed to call up the Wolfmeister, well done.

Skippy, funny enough I said the same thing - They left the baby in the car!!! lol! Who's watching the baby? What about the baby! lol!
Good stuff! We watched a few good movies over the past 2 weeks. The Proposal was funny as hell! When Betty White & Sandra Bullock get down - friggin hilarious!! Even more so because my sister and niece are Native American dancers. LOL!

It's hard to get into NAMM. It's the National Association of Music Merchants and, well, you have to have that type of connection to get in. I have a friend who's been before, and he's going again this year. Yes, I'm jealous.

skippy: gracias guapa igualment, 2010 is looking good, i proposed all the civic centres in Barcelona some 50 in total a 10 week 2 day p/week course on technique & improvisation and have had a very positive response
Inspired again so recording has commenced as of last night, had a terribly musically uninspired Jan-Aug in 09 good riddance. At last have my own vid cam so expect studio geetar opentuned eg,s soon, the other ytube concert footage is nearly 10 years old & bares no relevance t how i play now so an update is long overdue. Also have a position in construction full time just outside Barcelona with contract starting March which will be welcome cash in hand so yea off t a good start hope it stays that way....early spring clean n take the deco/tree/lights down today ....lil Johns not goin t like this one bit
Best o luck t you Joe & all for the new year, finger oot!

Hey Railton, long time no hear...
Hey Joe. Probably a bit too early to preview the new vox pedals at namm right? Probably too busy with the 2400 and the acoustic?

Bad night to be without power! Ugh. Thank God for the men and women who work for the power company. They were out there in 50 mile an hour winds fixing the downed lines last night. Got us und running at 5 a.m. Definitely calling the company this morning to give them a shout out.
Has anyone seen the setlist fot the Live in Paris CD? I'm very excited. I'm a little nervous hearing about all the effects included. I've always just liked watching Joe rip without the added stuff. Either way it's going to be great! It's still Joe with or without distracting effects. Very excited it's finally coming out.
Best Buy also shows Joe is releasing an import greatest hits cd at the end of the month. Anyone know anything about that? It's songs just from the Sony label?

She is truely a treasure of Oregon. lol!
I don't think I'm going to pre-order it. I'll have it faster if I just go pick it up at Best Buy instead of waiting for shipping.
rant alert...
I have a question...
Who are the geniuses that make up the chain emails that say "This will bring you good luck, but if you don't send it to 32 people in the next 2 minutes, something horrible will happen to you!" WTF is the compulsion to make this shit up and send it off? What's even worse is the yahoo's who do it - and send it to YOU! I mean really, is there that much witchery or voodoo floating around in emails ferchristsake? I doubt it very much. If it's a good forward, DELETE the bullshit at the bottom and send it on! I mean, if somebody takes a dump on my front porch and leave a note with a pretty balloon on it telling me I have to take a dump on 7 porches in the next 15 minutes...get my point? Sheep I tells ya SHEEP!
end of rant :-)
thank you, enjoy the veal! (gag)

So, I don't know if Joe actually reads this, but I would like input from all you guitfiddlers. I set a goal a few months ago to start really defining my own voice on the guitar. I have the technique and chops, but want my own unique voice. Any suggestions? My practice has become focussed on this, and recently I have begun focussing on structuring chords from the inherent scale patterns. A big influence in this is Alan Holdsworth. Love his use of unique chords and volume swells. Joe has always been my favorite technical lead player, and he definitely is unique among his peers. He has his own voice.
