Hi Joe, is the line up fixed for the Experience Hendrix tour? If you haven't decided on a drummer yet, here's a really cool idea: get Aynsley Dunbar to do the tour. Aynsley was the first-choice drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience but Chas Chandler (the manager) thought Aynsley was too expensive, so they gave the gig to Mitch Mitchell. Sadly Mitch is no longer with us, so Aynsley is the perfect choice ! He's playing just as well as ever with the World Classic Rockers www.wcr.com. check it out.

I'm finally getting a haircut today! I want to donate to Locks Of Love, but I just can't stand my hair that long. I feel like I have a hair curtain after it hits a certain point. My ponytail is 9.5 inches long, and you need 10 inches to donate. That would mean I would have to let my hair grow another 4 inches (that's another year or so) or so or my hair would be super short all the way up my neck. I look like hell in hair that short (check 80's pics). lol! I wish they'd except 8 inches of hair. That's more do-able.

Joe and all ppls here--I made a mistake in my Favorite songs by Joe list. (If there was a song called AL by Joe, I think it deserves a place on that list...LOL!) Really, I left out the following favorites from ITLIS......JUST LOOK UP.......SEARCHING and..........BAMBOO.

SEARCHING is a real JOE SATRIANI EXPERIENCE and it makes me smile. I would love to see the expressions on ppls faces (even Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Andy Timmons, John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert) when they hear the amazing sonic tones of that song played live (especially for the first time)!

It's a rainin' all over the world! Including California.

When the LIVE IN PARIS DVD comes out, it'll be a huge celebration! Joe and John L., Thank you for keeping us informed with emails and newsletters!

Now I just have to wait until February.....Valentine's Day gift? It's been a struggle to keep myself patient through all this!

It's hard to believe Chickenfoot's 2009 is coming to a close. The gig in Vegas was fantastic, and a great way to end the touring year. Cheers to all our fans for making every show not only possible, but memorable and fun. And, I want to thank all my fans at satriani.com and around the world for cutting me some slack and letting be be in a rock band for a while. Your patience with me is amazing, and not for a second do I ever forget it.

I wish I could share the Chickenfoot Gold Record award hanging on my wall with all of you. They should send one to everyone who bought the album! That would cost about a million smackers, but, I might be able to get a government grant for it... I'll work on that...

Looking ahead we have a NAMM show in January with a cool new 24 fret JS guitar to unveil, and a February 2nd release of "Joe Satriani, I Just Wanna Rock, Live in Paris" DVD, The Jimi Hendrix Tribute Tour in March, and some Chickenfoot shows in the spring and summer. It's gonna be a great year!

Joe is pleased to announce he is touring with the Experience Hendrix Concert 2010 Tour.

Experience Hendrix, the fourth edition of the biennial concert tour that features an all-star line up of music greats paying homage to the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix gets underway in early March of next year with special performances across the country.
