Scientists in Britain built a gun specifically to launch standard 4 pound dead chickens at the windshields of airliners, military jets and the newly developed fast trains, all travelling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields.
NASA engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the windshields of their new space shuttle. Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the American engineers.
When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof windshield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the astronaut's back-rest in two, and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin, like an arrow shot from a bow.
The horrified Americans sent the disastrous results of the experiment back to the UK, along with the designs of the windshield and begged the Brit scientists for suggestions.
(You're gonna love this . . .)
The Brits responded with a one-line memo -- (below)
"Defrost the chicken."

Has anyone been able to buy tickets to Oakland using the 15-digit CD preorder password? The password Tracie gave me for her isn't working.
What about any other west coast shows? Have those gone on sale yet with these passwords? Any success?

DeMar - The correct password should be the one you received when you preordered the CD through the link on the front page of satriani.com.
I've also tried JOE, GUITAR, BLACKSWANS, WORMHOLE, and WIZARDS and none of them work.
The LA show also had a venue presale today...I tried to get tickets with a normal password (like the ones above) but that didn't work either.

OK, the preorder passwords are working now. I just got three tickets for Tracie. They're pretty good, but I'll let her tell you how good. :-)

Peace Lily - Did you buy Oakland tickets, or were you just checking for the rest of us? If you're going, where are you sitting?
As of now I'm passing on Oakland.
