Hey, can anyone tell me what effect(s) Joe is using to get that fuzzy sorta octave up sound between 5:34 and 7:08 on this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_Mq2X2RvBo
I've seen him use it another songs, but have never known how he was doing it...
Thanks!

So did you get the cd!?
Al--That's a good question. Sadly, no. I've been buried in a box of tissues lately and hugging my Steve many times because the episodes/seizures are one or two or three every two weeks and I'm dropping down a dark abyss every few hours and climbing out as quickly as I can. Headaches are trying as well .....Then it happens all over again. At least there are rays of sunshine when friends break through the dark clouds with songs and stories and a few words gently said. Sweet therapy.
Michelle and Tracie--Maybe I should be telling you about these times. Anyway, I'm 10 pages behind and tryin' to catch up.

Craigy101 - I'm pretty sure it was the Fulltone Ultimate Octave in that particular pedalboard configuration...
I think the little dance he's doing at 7:09 is him kicking off the Fulltone octave, switching on the Digitech Whammy, bringing the delay in, and.... Whammy Time!.
I love how at 7:01 it appears to me that Joe is like "Oh! Gotta get over to the pedalboard!" Watch it a coupla times.... it's funny =)
Happy Birthday Death Cubicle K !!

Joe, can you let me know if you will be autographing your new album in Bethesda before the December 15th concert there. Please, please do. I am going to the show and I have wanted to meet you for a long time. By the way, Light Years Away is dynamite! The rest of the recording is excellent too. Finally, at the December 15th show, please consider playing several songs which I believe are very underrated and ones which I have never heard you play live: House of Bullets, Jupiter in Mind, Is there Love in Outer Space?, Engines of Creation, of course to name just a few. Send me a note. Thanks.

My husband and son are so excited you are coming to Cleveland- House of Blues! They both are learning to guitar. I bought them Xmas tickets as my son is playing in a Rock School University in a band... he is 16 years old. His instructor says he has raw talent and picks up the music by ear and finished the songs before the instructor is done teaching them. When I bought the tickets I bought the Premium package instead of the meet & greet which was my mistake...hit the wrong key. I understand you are upgrading 2 people to meet & greet and would love you to consider them. You would make a huge impact on the direction of his guitar dreams. I bought 3 tickets however if you are upgrading 2 my son Ryan and husband Dean would be delighted and aspired to meet you!!!! The tickets are under Marcie Massey

Hi Joe, I just had to tell you that I love the new album so much and I was so inspired that I managed to buy a JS100 in white (quite rare) on ebay and bought some white bobbined steam hammer pick ups and loaded them in. they are quite a bit hotter than the stock Ibanez units but hopefully they capture some of the flavours of the mojo pick up you are now using.
Light years away just makes me wanna smile cause your really cruisin on it. excellent stuff,,,,,,,.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am skint right now so i will not get to see you live this time round. catch you some time later... enjoy the tour and rock on christmas. cheers, Joe and the band keep rocking. nodrog5150 from Brighton England.
