If you're looking for a more widely usable pedal, then i would go for the wah. However, if it's crazy effects you seek, then look no further than the whammy pedal.
However this is only the advice of a 16 year old.
I had a go on a Jackson the other day, and it felt so, SO good to use a floyd rose for the first time! Although the one i played wasn't that good (£230), it could go UP! My dad set up the strat so that it can only go down. And if that's how good a cheap guitar like that is, then i can only imagine how good my 1200 is going to be when/if i buy it!

Joe. You have influenced my life. I bought Surfing with the Alien when it was released, and you inspired the style of music that I still enjoy the most today. It also inspired me to learn to play the guitar. For the last 10 years, I have been playing a JS-1000. I have seen you numerous times in concert. And so, it is very disappointing to see that you have signed up for the boycott of Arizona. Clearly this coalition has not read the bill and does not understand the policy. They have created an emotionally charged movement that is not based on the facts. The SB-1070 pdf can be read at SB-1070. If you or I are involved in a lawful stop by police, we are expected and required to show a driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance. Why do you think someone here illegally should have no obligation to do the same? This is just one issue that is not addressed by your group. It would also be interesting to hear what you mean by "In the last 15 years the erosion of rights of American citizens has put us close to a police state". Sweeping provocative statements should have more detailed explanations.
No thinking person expects much from musicians like Rage Against the Machine - this is not the first time that they have directed their anger toward the U.S. Do they ever rage against terrorism, dictators that torture and kill their citizens, or other criminal activity?
Reading your misleading opinions has detracted from the joy of playing my JS guitar and listening to your music. But, before I turn away from all things Satriani, it seems only fair to ask you to investigate this issue in more depth. Surely it is very popular among the signatories to rant against Arizona, but truth and clarity about SB-1070 is more important.

Another fecked up day with the daughter in hospital.
However, finally some GOOD news, looks like the placenta previa is no longer previa. With less than a month to term it's moved far enough out of the way for the baby to get her head down where it should be.
Thanks again to those of you who offered prayers and good vibes, I truly believe that it has helped. Now how do I manage to get my daughter to give her baby daughter the middle name T2J?

turbo236: Kinda late, but I've always loved this Paul Gilbert version of The Star Spangled Banner Watch as he rings out the sustain towards the end, and then Green Tinted Sixties Mind is added for good measure :-)
Pip55: :-)
Two Shay: Hang in there, your doing a fine job for your daughter :-) More good vibes coming, and on the middle name, Joe for a boy, and Jo for a girl?? ;-) Godspeed indeed....

TheHawkGuy - That is very sad....but really shows where our country has gone. America has certainly lost it's way and unfortunately, it's never coming back.

TheHawkGuy- Unfortunately, there is nothing the cops CAN do to people who are desecrating the Flag. It is technically not illegal; the flag code is just a set of guidelines that suggest how people should treat and handle the Flag, it is only law for U.S. entities to follow it.
Two years ago, I was in the Air Force, on duty, standing with a bunch of Secret Service agents while we watched a bunch of stupid teenagers across the street from where the Vice Pres. was speaking drag the Flag on the sidewalk, spit on it, rip it- pretty much everything but burn it. There wasn't a damn thing the law could do. Finally an old Vietnam-era Vet went up and punched the kid holding the Flag in the face and continued to wail on him until the cops arrested one of them. Guess who went to jail? The teens were politely asked to leave for being unruly or something of the sort. I'll admit it was nice to see him leave with blood all over his face, I didn't care how young he was.
Ovation1- Don't get me wrong, I love me some PG, but I like my National Anthem to be played the way it was written (for the most part). That's why I favor Joe's rendition of it so much. He doesn't add any BS, gets right to the point but yet still manages to send a message with those few notes that few others can, IMO. The Star Spangled Banner is without a doubt my favorite song, and it means a lot to me. I'd love to hear Joe play it more often! There are certain parts of Zakk Wylde's rendition that I like and a FEW parts of Steve Vai's, and I think Hendrix definitely broke ground with his, but for me it's Joe FTW!
