Recent Interview

Joe must be the most humble guy ever if he thought no one would know who he was at jury duty. LOL

Roy, thanks for sharing that Tiger Rag link, liked it quite a lot!

GlitzMan: Congrats on your race results, keep it up!

Interesting posts about the vegan lifestyle, I do know someone who's trying to walk down that path, will share your comments with her.

Just for the record, I can't go 3 days without meat. And I'm pretty sure I will die of heart problems regardless of what food I eat. So I'll enjoy it while I can and respect those that don't.

(flame suit on)

(soap box on)

Guys, I understand people wanting to vent about some things in a forum they feel is going to get them the best outcome. But do you seriously think that complaining about DVDs, fanfire, news currency, ticket prices, etc, is:

1) beneficial to Joe and his music

And

2) going to get results you want?

May I suggest that perhaps the Satriani.com site would do well with an additional mechanism to field gripes about products, prices, etc that didn't "bring down" Joe?

I understand that logistically this is a tall ask... to be adopted and successful, it would need to bring some sort of response and result.. Ok so I guess it's a pipe dream...

But come on guys, we are long time fans of Joe and his great art. Can we think a little more about how what we say here reflects on him? I know that forums generally encourage candor and Joe himself says "for whatever we want to talk about" but there is no substitute for tact in measuring the right way to say things. Although your friends tell you you can be brutally honest, most would still not retort with both guns blazing...

I guess I'm naive, but I've always thought that discretion is the better part of valour, even if you are frustrated, chucking an OT (online tantrum) is very childish.

And no, I am not brown-nosing.. Really! I do believe there is such a thing as a way to get results without having to make someone else lose.

And yes, we have visited the censorship debate in the past here on t2j, I am not talking about censorship, just self control and decorum.

(soap box off)

(flame suit upgraded)

Oh no, here comes the pain....:)

Peace Lily - thanks for the Pure Rawk interview link.

But alas, no Australian tour *sobs loudly* another UK and Europe tour and the US tour for Hendrix Experience.

So in the spirit of roo-ship, good on you lucky people who are going to get (yet) another Chickenfoot tour and Joe with the Hendrix Experience, have fun, rock on, have a great time, yada yada friggin yada.

Right, that's it. I have to plot a scheme to get to Europe or the States.

Finally got some time last night to sit down with the new Chickenfoot DVD. To my suprise there was some footage of "The Tabernacle" show at the beginning of FUTURES IN THE PAST. Did not see myself or Mrs. Burly. The shot I saw was from stage left and we were directly in front of Joe. There may have been more. That was all I noticed but will need time to watch it again soon by myself with no distractions.

JOE when can we expect more tour dates, US or otherwise?

Later. Best wishes.

roo, I understand what yer saying. It's nice to come to a forum and have nothing but positive energy flowing. It would be amazing if life was like that, but it's not. For the most part, we're shiny happy people, but having a forum with no "meat" (pun intended) in it would be kinda boring. Joe gets pissed off, and on occasion he himself vents on the internet. Joe is a super optimist, and optimism is a wonderful thing. I just wish more of us were like that. Personally, I strive for it everyday. Sometimes it's easy, and sometimes it's soooo not. Anyways, I think it's kind of interesting to see what makes people tick - good and bad.

Peas Lily, I stopped my posts at yer post from last Monday because I wanted to answer you back. lol! I have 9 pages on deck. lol! Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We had a wonderful day. Retail hell is revving up the closer we get to the holidays. There's another sale coming up next weekend, so it's gonna get ugly. lol! Soon enough it'll all be over and our hours will be cut, and the place will have tumbleweeds blowing through it instead of shoppers. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but not. It's easier on yer body, but mentally you have the powers that be swooping around trying to pick off those they think aren't holding up their end. It's all about budget cuts. Let's get rid of the 25 yr employee, then hire a newbie at minimum wage. Anyways - how's yer dad doing? Is he going to the dermatologist every couple of months for a thorough check? My dad & uncle go every 6 months, and wear sunscreen any time they're outside. Even if it's not sun related, I believe the sun accelerates it. Best wishes to yer dad. My mom is holding steady. She's getting out more, but still pretty congested. I'm not sure if that's ever going to go away? She has good days and bad. It gets scary when she can't breathe. Hopefully my family will all be well enough so we can have them over for Thanksgiving. If anyone has a cold or is sick, she can't be exposed to it, and Thanksgiving will be pretty depressing.

Glitz, great job on all the racing. Mom update in above post to PL.

It's a beautiful day today after a few days of gray skies & rain. I'm outta here!

Happy Sunday peeps!

AYE!

awesome interview! thanx for posting it Peace!

ROO; i agree with the fact that you should be constructive and not destructive in your opinions. i also think there is no problem with posting displeasure here as long as your not being offensive. i'm sure that Joe takes all he reads here in stride. he is an intelligent guy and there are times when criticism makes you better at what you do. besides nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes and fly off the handle for some reason or another. speaking of perfect this is my belief " have the desire to achieve perfection and the wisdom to know you never will". i guess you can tell a persons maturity by what they do after they go off on a tangent. apologies and humility go a long way to correct offensive rants, and i have seen that done here.

well time to get on with the day. gonna visit my mom who i haven't seen in a couple of weeks and then maybe even play a little guitar and then its the Patriots vs the hated Colts at 8:00. Go Pats!!!!!

have a great day all!
