So...I could've sworn the pick I got came from Joe, but I just looked at it and it's one of MIkey's. It hit me in the neck the way Joe's have in the past, so I assumed...haha. Does anyone have a Chickenfoot pick from Joe from this tour? Is it "heavy" like his usually are? This one wasn't that thick, but I wonder if he was maybe using one of Mikey's. Anyway, that's a minor thing...

The Chickenfoot performance was filmed tonight, but it won't actually air until Friday night's show. They filmed a lot of things out of order...we saw a few interviews that won't air until Friday, a musical performance that won't air until closer to Christmas, and then all of the show that aired tonight except for the band (which was filmed previously). As a result, there weren't many opportunities for us fans to cheer in response to the "...and coming up next, Chickenfoot!" bumpers...but oh well.

In closing I'll say that I don't think Jimmy Kimmel is funny at all. He's OK on some of the Comedy Central stuff he's done in the past, but I don't think his style comes across well on a major network. He had some video skits that were just painful to sit through...argh.

...Austin...

How do these people survive

ONE

Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen nuggets.
'We don't have half dozen nuggets,' said the teenager at the counter.
'You don't?' I replied.
'We only have six, nine, or twelve,' was the reply.
'So I can't order a half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?'
'That's right.'
So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets
(Unbelievable but sadly true...)

TWO

I was checking out at the local Woolworths with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those 'dividers' that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed.
After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the 'divider', looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it.
Not finding the bar code, she said to me, 'Do you know how much this is?'
I said to her 'I've changed my mind; I don't think I'll buy that today.'
She said 'OK,' and I paid her for the things and left.
She had no clue to what had just happened.

THREE

A woman at work was seen putting a credit card into her floppy drive and pulling it out very quickly.
When I inquired as to what she was doing, she said she was shopping on the Internet and they kept asking for a credit card number, so she was using the ATM 'thingy.'
(keep shuddering!!)

FOUR

I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. 'Do you need some help?' I asked.
She replied, 'I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to fit this?'
'Hmmm, I don't know. Do you have an alarm, too?' I asked.
'No, just this remote thingy,' she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, 'Why don't you drive over there and check about the batteries. It's a long walk....'
PLEASE just lay down before you hurt yourself !!!

FIVE

Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, 'I'm almost out of typing paper. What do I do?' 'Just use paper from the photocopier', the secretary told her. With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five 'blank' copies.
Brunette, by the way!!

SIX

A mother calls 000 very worried asking the dispatcher if she needs to take her kid to the emergency room, the kid had eaten ants. The dispatcher tells her to give the kid some Benadryl and he should be fine, the mother says, 'I just gave him some ant killer....'
Dispatcher: 'Rush him in to emergency!'

Life is tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid!!!!

Prayers to all the victims. soldiers, & families in Fort Hood/Texas.

I have a 5K Run this upcoming Sunday and then the Marathon.

Elpp: LMFAO! Oh brother! You had to mess with (The 2004 Men's Marathon Olympic Silver Medalist) Meb, didn't ya? Don't worry, there won't be any horses, or anything like that happening. Speaking of horses, I haven't been on one for about 15-20 years. Thanks for the luck and encouragement. How are you coming along with your runs?

Skippygirl: Thanks again for the support. Maybe you should come over and watch me, since you're the one who follows my runs the most. Would you please? You, Mr. Skippy, Elpp, and everyone here should come.

Death Cube K: Happy Birthday again Mark. What did you do to celebrate?

Do The Stu: Hey Austin! You and Aaron (cosmic ape) have fun seeing Chickenfoot at the J.K.L Show. I'll see if I have time to stay up and watch it. I've been busy working (every single day) & running (therefore, the usual).

GoldenGirl2: Hey Millie! How y'all doing? (You and Steve).

Michelle & Cheese101: How is Mum and Pop doing for the both of you?

js1200js1000: All is going good here; working at the hotel & the guitar shop.

Chat with you all later, and again, prayers to all the people in Fort Hood/Texas.

This was done at the apex of dance music with the promise of great things for performers & DJ,s working together, it was also prior 9/11,We had chosen a crosshair on the twin towers as our video only to realize a week after it was done the towers came down & our dreams of merging musicians with a young culture addicted to loops with it

It started there, make no mistake

PS:I,ve had swine flu...if yer over 102f for 4 days y have it, thats as good as they know, fuckin news bollox...If y have kids with a high temp stick em in a cool bath & give em 2,5 ml o Dalsy or 1.5 ml of Apiretal every 8 hours, its liquid paracetamol, the later flavored

thanx for the well wishes Peace, Mystical, Michelle (not quite that ancient M, 1852lol). swine flu is the proper term for this one. has anyone else taken Tamiflu? makes me feel like i'm doing Acid hits or something! really messes up my head.

Michelle hope your mom does ok, it does get hard when roles are reversed and the ones you relied on all your life now rely on you.

Fort Hood massacre was totally ridiculus. why is it that when some coward wants to die they have to take innocents with them. just heard he didn't even die & was shot 4 times. i hope the military puts him in front of a firing squad and gives him what he wants!

got the new CD\DVD combo and like Turbo i am not impressed at all. the behind the scenes stuff was fun though not enough of it, and the concert footage was lame. don't know why they used so much of it from the Montruex club, crowd seemed lame and footage was just ok. better crowds in Europe at the festivals. found better vids on youtube and even though the footage me and the mrs took got shaky at times (ok mrs says vids i took) got shaky at times, i prefer my DVD to thiers. they just didn't capture the raw power and all around fun these guys have on stage.

Satriiani; thats how it works, the companies hire idiots so that they don't have to worry about employess thinking for themselves, wanting raises and things like that. i've been in management my whole life and have had higher ups actually tell me those things. don't know about where you live but around here if you go into any service industry business you'll notice the i.q. level is about 50. especially supermarkets and walmart. i always ask my wife how these people cross the street without getting hit by a bus.

sorry for the long post, guess catching up made me chatty.

Hi Glitz Man--My hubbie, Steve and I are doing well under the circumstances--perplexed doctors who won't know if Steve's seizures are lessening. Steve has to keep a log book in his Black Berry. I think he is getting better very slowly. Good news!

That Fort Hood shooting as well as others in the past ought to tell our President and Congress that we need to wind down the war posture and deal with reality! We are overstretched. What happened to the draft??? Either get that reinstated or bring all our troops home and allow the non-governmental/non-profit orgainizations do their peace building services in Afghanistan. Did it ever occur to any of the US leaders that we need to win friends. And we don't do that through combat operations! We go it alone at our own peril. When are we the USA going to wake up?!! We need to get off the path of the previous administration and begin anew with our allies and treat them as friends.....not turn our backs on them or hide our heads in the sand!!

MICHELLE--I also hate war!

Where's that TRAIN OF ANGELS and ANGELS OF LOVE??

Do The Stu: If my memory serves me correctly, the picks Joe was throwing at the Seattle gig were actually Mikey's picks. I didn't get one myself, but the guy right next to me did, and we were both a little thrown off that Joe had just tossed a MA CF pick into the crowd. Maybe Joe is using a lighter pick with the heavier strings and dropped tuning and is just bumming them from Mikey to save money (rather than manufacturing a new JS CF pick), but I believe he has JS signature picks in all three gauges?? Oh, can't forget the Chrome Dome don't drop on your toe bicep busting super heavy pick!

That's a good innocent question I haven't seen since I've been reading posts here.
What's your favorite guitar pick?

I'm torn between two: the Planet Waves Sure Pick heavy (1.17mm), and the Snarling Dogs Brain Pick heavy (1mm).

Maybe the proceeds from the White Album are going towards a new JS CF pick... Or more likely funding for Sammy's new Cabo Wabo in Vegas!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is unhappy with the new release. I must say as soon as my "pre order" gets here I'm taking it back to Best Buy to get my $10 back. I sure as hell don't want two of these things laying around here! That will be a good down payment on It Might Get Loud, or Joe's new DVD!

Ian

lmao there was an attempted robery by 3 men at a jewelers there in dublin city centre

Three men have been arrested following an attempted armed robbery of a jewellery store in Dublin city centre.

It is understood that a gang, armed with a shotgun, tried to raid Dawson Jewellers on Dawson Street.

However, the owner of the store tackled the raiders, and in the struggle that ensued, one of the raiders was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. Advertisement

The scene has now been sealed off, and gardaí are investigating. Those in custody have been taken to Pearse St Garda Station for questioning.

The attempted robbery was spotted by a passerby as it was in progress on Dawson Street, and he ran after one of the raiders as he tried to escape.

He caught him and held him until the gardaí arrived.

A second raider was arrested by the gardaí as he was coming out of the jewellery shop trying to escape.

The third raider was injured in the struggle with the manager of the shop.

what douches, funny shit though, the owner took the gun off one of them and took the shells out and the injured one is in hospital with a fractured skull... bad day?
