roo, I understand what yer saying. It's nice to come to a forum and have nothing but positive energy flowing. It would be amazing if life was like that, but it's not. For the most part, we're shiny happy people, but having a forum with no "meat" (pun intended) in it would be kinda boring. Joe gets pissed off, and on occasion he himself vents on the internet. Joe is a super optimist, and optimism is a wonderful thing. I just wish more of us were like that. Personally, I strive for it everyday. Sometimes it's easy, and sometimes it's soooo not. Anyways, I think it's kind of interesting to see what makes people tick - good and bad.
Peas Lily, I stopped my posts at yer post from last Monday because I wanted to answer you back. lol! I have 9 pages on deck. lol! Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We had a wonderful day. Retail hell is revving up the closer we get to the holidays. There's another sale coming up next weekend, so it's gonna get ugly. lol! Soon enough it'll all be over and our hours will be cut, and the place will have tumbleweeds blowing through it instead of shoppers. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but not. It's easier on yer body, but mentally you have the powers that be swooping around trying to pick off those they think aren't holding up their end. It's all about budget cuts. Let's get rid of the 25 yr employee, then hire a newbie at minimum wage. Anyways - how's yer dad doing? Is he going to the dermatologist every couple of months for a thorough check? My dad & uncle go every 6 months, and wear sunscreen any time they're outside. Even if it's not sun related, I believe the sun accelerates it. Best wishes to yer dad. My mom is holding steady. She's getting out more, but still pretty congested. I'm not sure if that's ever going to go away? She has good days and bad. It gets scary when she can't breathe. Hopefully my family will all be well enough so we can have them over for Thanksgiving. If anyone has a cold or is sick, she can't be exposed to it, and Thanksgiving will be pretty depressing.
Glitz, great job on all the racing. Mom update in above post to PL.
It's a beautiful day today after a few days of gray skies & rain. I'm outta here!
Happy Sunday peeps!
AYE!

awesome interview! thanx for posting it Peace!
ROO; i agree with the fact that you should be constructive and not destructive in your opinions. i also think there is no problem with posting displeasure here as long as your not being offensive. i'm sure that Joe takes all he reads here in stride. he is an intelligent guy and there are times when criticism makes you better at what you do. besides nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes and fly off the handle for some reason or another. speaking of perfect this is my belief " have the desire to achieve perfection and the wisdom to know you never will". i guess you can tell a persons maturity by what they do after they go off on a tangent. apologies and humility go a long way to correct offensive rants, and i have seen that done here.
well time to get on with the day. gonna visit my mom who i haven't seen in a couple of weeks and then maybe even play a little guitar and then its the Patriots vs the hated Colts at 8:00. Go Pats!!!!!
have a great day all!

I worked this morning and my legs are still hurting, but they're not really sore. Hope they heal before Saturday's 5K Run.
Guitarmeister2005: That is awesome! One of my friends/former boss has a JS100 in White. Keep up the hard work you do.
Cheese101: Hope Chris has fun with it all. Hope you have earplugs on hand. LOL!
Elpp: Thanks for the congrats. I do appreciate it.
Michelle: Thanks for the praise. Your retail work is like my work at the hotel. We get busy and then the next day or two, almost everyone checks out and there is no one; which means hours being cut. My hours are shortened for the past few weeks, but at least I'm getting about three or more days of work a week, plus my tips. At least my other job at the guitar shop (retail if you want to call it) is going to get busy on Black Friday.
Chat with you all later.

Kayla, no I have never seen 'Say Anything' before. I have watched three quarters of it, but will watch the rest later on. Besides the boxing scene Joe's song is palying while there is a mad time at the party, and then the very end plays while the couple are sitting in the car later if you listen carefully.
Get better soon Joeeeeeeeeee, wrap up warm.........we love you.....xxx

Its not a very nice day here ....gray cold and drizzly...shiver. I need to do some cleaning up outside. Maybe it will snow and cover all that up ..lol
Michelle - I will send good vibes your moms way...hopefully people will stay healthy..so she can spend the holidays with her loved ones.
I truly believe that the love of your family is good medicine.
My dad has had to skip some functions because of the fact his immune system is suppressed with anti-rejection drugs. If people have sniffles or worse he just stays away and we have to stay away from him. He does have screenings dermatologist, blood work and urine checked every 2 to 4 weeks. Have to stay on top of the kidney function and check for signs of rejection.. Changes call for adjustments in meds and lifestyle. He literally has to take handfuls of pills . But he is alive and he is tough and he is grateful. Only two sites of his lesion removals were melanoma and the cancer is not in his lymph or blood system .
Skippygirl- I am sorry 'bout the tours missing you....(hugs) But yes maybe you can work out a way! Gotta keep the hope alive :-)
Roo- Point well made ...but some times negativity is so addictive.
I have felt bad for the negativity's I have expressed here, like my bitch about the $750.00 package. Well.. I will be honest ...if I had it and could spend it ...I would spend it to see Joe. I was just pissy 'cause I knew I would not be able to go to Vegas for any price seat (AND I REALLY WANT TO)
GUITARMEISTER2005- congratulations on your new equipment!
Well I think I will take a little nap... I had " heart attack" on a plate for brunch. Breakfast meats and eggs and sliced cinnamon roll made into french toast topped with pecans, syrup and whipped creme.
(NO I do not eat that way all the time) Special occasion. Lol !

I was going to make this post a while back, but I decided to leave it out in exchange for the negative things I had to say about the new DVD and the $750 package....
Joe has been a professional artist/entertainer for longer than I've been alive, and in my opinion, part of filling that role, especially in this technology driven age, requires that you be able to see and/or hear feedback about your work; whether it be good, bad, or hateful, from someone who heard their first Satriani or CF song yesterday, or your most loyal fans.
Joe's work is plastered ALL OVER the internet, especially on YouTube, and those videos are linked at this site quite often. It's quite obvious that Joe watches at least some of those, because he has commented on some or favorited others. Look at the comments section on some of these videos and you can see the feedback I'm talking about. Some folks have written some pretty harsh words about Joe, and he has probably read them.
My point is that after all these years Joe has probably developed a fairly tough skin for naysayers, a "horsehide" some may say. The stuff being said here is usually feedback about his work (We're not all always going to like every single thing he or CF do(es)), and from what I've read, even the most angry vents were not intended to bring anybody down. I don't see any reason why that should have to end (neither does Joe) and I'm sure he has seen worse. The important thing is that none of us are here specifically to say bad things about him, and we aren't attacking him personally. I believe that would be the time to step in. Until then, I also enjoy the free for all that we currently call T2J and I hope it stays that way!
P.S. Please forgive my probably longest post, but I would like to point out that I am using one of my kitchen chairs for this rant and not a soapbox..... big difference!!

I just printed out the results from that marathon run. I just found out that I had a different time. Sorry to give out the wrong info everyone. My time actually was 3 hours, 11 minutes, and 12 seconds. I couldn't believe it, especially now that I missed qualifying Boston by 13 seconds. I thought to myself, "Why was I told a different time?"
Skippygirl & Everyone: This calls for a drink (and fast). Oh, forgot, a race this Saturday; so everyone will have to have a drink by me (including sammishes).
Blue_Moon: Sorry to hear about the World Cup ordeal. Have a drink by me.
