Mikesb - based on just todays posts II know you want that poster and can't wait for more chickenfoot...

Blue Moon - ah yes, the infamous can we se your ID please sir in Reno. Fancy going back there for Joe Hendrix next year?

Congrats on the 5000 posts

McDave - not 500 miles for the DVD?

Michelle - Happy Birthday to E! You not going to join her in a hangover at the weekend?

Don1963 - what's her username, I'll give her 5's. Any vid I've liked has gotten a 5, simple as... and I've only voted on a select few. I know which one I'd like to win but if it's down to votes can't see it happening (and it's not mine, no matter how much I'd like to win)

Hi to everyone else - I'm sure there's loads to catch up on but it'll have to be a little later

Do the Stu - Thanks for the review. Would have liked to see it. Was the theater crowded? They played it in a theater in Stillwater (home of OSU) Cheese, you'll know that one. I wasn't able to get there though. IT's about 2 hours from my work. I would have never made it in time.

I'm really glad they are putting this out on DVD. After watching the DVD that came out last month, it really made me crave more. I really liked the live tone and energy. Was pretty bummed there were only a couple of songs live on that DVD.

Sorry to hear about your job hunting still. Any chance you'll leave California or are you determined to ride it off into the Pacific? Maybe you could slide over to TV and try your hand at that?

I have a really good friend who works for the Florida Times Union and he has said the same thing about the newspaper business. It's really in trouble.

Roo - So when are you coming out with the Satch App for the Droid? I see Droid is really booming right now. Might take a minute to catch Iphone Apps, but it's certainly making noise.

Skippygirl - Oh, I only shook Chad's hand...I didn't get an autograph from him (not this time, anyway...I have three from him in the past though). But it was cool to see him again... ;-)

It would've been cool to travel to the show in Phoenix, but no, I wasn't there. The guy in the chicken suit was, though, way over on Mikey's side of the stage...people who have seen west coast shows will know who I'm talking about.

mikesb - Stereo or mono? It's a great price for stereo and an absolute STEAL if it's the mono box.

I'm loving the Beatles remasters...definitely my favorite musical purchase of the year.

Sano - The DVD isn't in stores yet...this was only a preview that played in a few movie theaters across the US. I don't know if there's a set release date yet, but I'd say the first half of next year is a safe bet (and yes, it should be available internationally).
As for my extra poster, I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet. I'll probably wait a few weeks (closer to the end of the year) and randomly pick someone's name out of a hat. I'll wait until then to collect names of interested people.

...Austin...

Glitz Man -Thanks for the review. So you liked it? lol Your enthusiasm is refreshing , glad you had a good time.

Do The Stu- Thank you for the movie review and other information. I do hope the movie comes out on DVD.Too bad a lot of theaters did not have stellar turn out but I guess that's the way it goes.

Since I could not go I have ordered myself a little treat .....The Satriani Live DVD and a cd of Crystal Planet for my car. (since I only had that in Mp3). Now I am a happy gal..........(still yearning for the Paris dvd , though ......release time is getting closer) :-)

Michelle: Happy 21st Birthday to your daughter.

Sano: Happy Belated Birthday.

Blue_Moon: Way to go on 5,000 posts. Now go for 10,000. lol.

Interview at the Marriott went well earlier today. I start training tomorrow in the restaurant. The managers are letting me try it out for a few days there (to see if I like working there or not). Therefore, I had to get someone to cover my shift at the guitar store tomorrow. Bittersweet, but oh well. BTW, I told them that I'm not leaving my guitar store job.

Skippygirl & Others: I told you guys that I work at the guitar store a while back. However, there is something you should know: I actually don't play or know guitar. I tune & clean them, but I don't play. My excel is in customer service/sales (which michelle does). I am thinking about maybe learning guitar, but with my running and jobs, there's hardly anytime. Any advice? Wanted to get this clear to everyone.

McDave: Hey Dave. Been a long time. You looking for work? I should just give you one of my three jobs now. Either way, I'm going to have to sacrifice one of my two hotel jobs in the later future.

Do The Stu: That's awesome that you met Chad again. I would say that he's the funniest, while Joe is the wisest. Sammy and Michael are super-awesome-cool. Best to you on whoever you decide gets that poster. I haven't heard from the movie theater yet. I even told them I would pay for it (if they were to auction it or not). If I don't get it, that's okay. I'll have to take my chance with your pick. You looking for work as well? Just read the post I did for Dave.

Peace Lily: Just saw your post. Thanks so much. I wished you went.

Well gotta run. Running group coming up shortly. See ya everyone!

Gas leak next door so they're drilling test holes to try and find it? No sleep for me tonight I'm guessing.

Don1963 - I didn't see anything wrong in adding one vote to a video that has been deliberately voted down though, but take your point. Good luck!

Cappy - he he, hi 5! Do I get away with calling that classic rock?

Anyone plannin to see Avatar? Assume it's a worldwide release date...

Pippy - Would you believe the Proclaimers played a show here last night supporting the B52's!!! One of the guys from work went, haven't asked him how it was....

Defo will see Avatar, just took my girls to see New Moon last weekend, corrrrr....lots of screams from the mostly-girl audience when 2 certain people were on screen (and Mums quietly enjoyed it too).

Glitzy - wow well done on the job front you are amazing. Sorry, I didn't realise you didn't play - even more impressive that you got a job in a guitar store! Ps ignore my unrequested advice it is a flaw of mine (I call it helpful but I know it can be annoying) it comes from being a Mum I think, and is well-meant. Actually a couple of open chords are real easy to learn, and that would be all it took to get a prospective customer to experience the excitement of guitar = more sales!!!

Austin - ditto above re the advice :0).

Thanks for the clarification re the movie I forgot it was Phoenix. I have to check the recent DVD one again to find you in that. Good luck with the job hunt - OK I can't help myself, will send you a PM with another idea :0).

Peace Lily - you got 2 great products there I LOVE both of those, Crystal Planet gets very high rotation in my car (esp. Psycho Monkey, which our own Blue Moon does a very nice version of) and the Live! DVD is terrific with Joe in the cool black.

roo - Xmas party huh? Mine's next week, there's a group of us going as a group of doo-wop girls with enormous wigs, gold microphones and black sequin outfits - I just decided to call us "The Pippettes" it will be something like Sister Act LMAO!!

Not long to Vegas let's hope the best video (a T2Jer's) wins.

The Movie.... Well after surveying the 14 people in the theater before the show....ALL were there the night before and carried the same frustration as i had about given the wrong date (dec 1 was not the day as posted by Chickenfoot and Sony). during the movie about another 10 showed up...none of them were Joe...lol

The review....Truly captured the live concert feel by keeping improvised music, words and actions in the forefront. The band must have warmed up extra for this because Joe was so on his game right from Avenida..the camera couldnt keep up with his hands..but came really close.....and quite a few noticable differences and smoother changes from early live Chickenfoot's Ideas. Sammy and Mike's vocals were less pitchy and very harmonic at times. Joe Guitar really recorded well and pierced my ear similiar to the tour......it was awesome stereo/sub not surround (see below). Chad did turnover his set but it just didnt seem as natural and the first time or the one i witnesssed in Atlantic city. I will buy this DVD on it being a perfect memoir of the 3 shows I witnessed, but also it captures more than any seat's perspective as far as seeing the passion and fun in these guys eyes. One issue i had was he camera changes too much and thats what you dont see is more than 3 sec of one shot at a time....or that how it seemed...you couldnt really study 1 individual like in a live show.

The Problem....No surround sound...i complained once and nothing changed so after the show i complained again and said this was my first and last time with this theater.

the final solution........they realized their mistake and they did the right thing and gave me a free pass for any other show and gave me the only poster the NY show received...and as you'll see, altered too...so i have the evidence and a one of a kind for sure...see pic..lol

Dec. 2nd???? =(

aye it does but takes ages to load then i have to go clear my cache cause im particular about massive files in it!

I demand a resize!!! drives me mad though with getting photos off people, cameras keep adding more pixels yet u only need a low number or small pixel size for most pics that will be shared especially online

but its ok
