Austin-That would be cool.I just don't like the straight ahead Rock 'n' Roll vibe.It just sounds like AC/DC with Sammy Hagar singing, and I HATE AC/DC.

Good Luck Scubadaz...if you get the gig, trade off playing the song you hate for a song you love! Rarely will you ever find a band that youll like every cover...thats life...lol...and go in like its a gig..be prepared for anything....stretch out strings and tune well.....if the drummer is not good...dont ever call them back...lol...gl

I did indeeed synths and keys added a bit too it, went for a nice soft approach

ill do another one tomorrow if i get the chance

played a bit alrite and cleaned itt about 6 times im suprised how small it is, its tiny! miniman Joe with his miniman guitars, but i like it that way much prefare the smaller frets and fretwire is nice thin and pointy, much nicer being precise... the necks nice and thick rather unlike most other ibanez's that ive played i lvoe that

Oops, double post...

Hey, blue_moon, I actually wish I had a 1200ca, as my main practice/player..

I wouldn't buy a backwards one though! :)

I was going to say before that a regular 1200 strung backwards ala Hendrix would have been an ultimate compliment for Joe wouldn't it? I actually think Joe secretly wishes ge was left handed so he could do that...

Hey Joe, how about you write a song specifically for a 1200CAL that you've strung backwards to play right handed as a tribute to Hendrix? That'd be cool to see live.

i have a righty strat too i flipped ala hendrx style there she is

you know when i was younger id watch jimi hendrix and think that was the way guitars were meant to be with the bigger cutout on the bottom... funny only years later i realised what was goin on

Turbo236: Thanks for the amp advice bro, I went to the local Guitar Center, tried out the Line6 Spiders, the ones in my price range did not sound good enough for my liking, and the ones that sounded awesome were too expensive.

Checked out the Peavey, nice amp but also out of my budget.

Stumbled into a Fender Frontman 15G, the clean channel sounds so clear and crisp, and the dirty channel has a mean crunch, plus it's insanely loud (haven't gotten it past 4 yet!!). 63 dollars with tax and a canned food item discount (65 if you count the cost of the can). Not a bad deal at all methinks!

Talking of guitars strung upside-down... Joe Perry of Aerosmith is left-handed, but he plays guitar right-handed. Still, he has a few lefties that he strings upside down. Here is one...

Cappy Steve - Ah...the wording of your question made me think you wanted a Satch solo lineup.

If I could pick anyone, I think it'd be great to hear Joe play guitar in a band with Steven Tyler. It could be excellent or not work at all, but I think it'd be neat to see what happens either way.

It'd also be neat to hear Joe play with that band Dredg that I rave about here all the time...

hybes - Wow, you have been busy! I'm still out of work. I found a part-time editing gig that gives me a little bit of money, but I'm still looking for that awesome full-time job. I'll find it eventually.

Cool to hear that you bought some more DMB. You only have live stuff so far, right? I recommend getting Before These Crowded Streets next, and working backward from there.

Do The Stu - aarggh no I haven't found you on the DVD yet I'll go back over it. I bet you're in the movie as well as the vid that wins the Foot contest ;0).

btw is there a problem with my emails?

Al - very lovely Turkey Man - you must be psychic cos I have the tab and was trying to work out the f**king finger movements across the frets so you've shown me, even tho it will be years before I can even play it let alone like the way you, Pip, Axe can play etc.

Pip - oooh that's a shocking song and vid, but funny and yes I think Al has a new woman, a woman in red.

SCOOB - Good luck buddy!!! Don't worry about 1 song once you're in you can rip it up with heaps of Satch stuff!!

Axe - thnx for the info!

roo - again, luverly guitar - I notice it's a 1991 model you bought in 1996 and you've had it refinished is that right?
