Skippygirl: I gotcha Skippypoo. I'm going to try to watch it tonight. How've you been?
Michelle: LOL. As for tequila, I'm more of a Patrón person.
I just got off work at the guitar store. Sold an acoustic/electric guitar, stand, and bag today. :)

Something's weird with satriani.com on my computer........when I go in the graphics don't show up and I see a bunch of X's next to text and the page doesn't look like I remember it.
Jon Luini, maybe you can help me with this. Otherwise, I'm lost!

Dear Joe,
First of all, thank you for this opportunity to interact ask questions etc.
This realy keeps me inspired to keep playing, not 24/7 though...(lol)
2nd, i have started taking lessons in 88/89 but only continued under pressure. Parents you know. Back then it felt like a chore and soon i stopped after just 2 years of practice. Also money was an issue, so didn''t get the right material (music wise), to keep going. So i stopped for bout 12 years. Had a different hobby, playing darts. In one of the pubs we played competision, they where known for their "alternative" music, Surfing with the Alien was playing. Wich i didn't know, sounded very cool (and still does !!). Suddenly i just had to ask the bartender who this artist was and what cd. " Well this is Joe" he said. (i can remember it like it was the day before yesterday) "???" So i asked him if he could tell me wich track was playing, it completely blew me away. Circles was the track, i had to get it into my fingers!!! It was just the atmosphere i liked. I imagined me being in the goldenages at a ball, dancing with women dressed in those immense dresses. Anyway back taking lessons. I bought my first Electrical, 2nd hand, but that didn't matter. It's an Ibanez too, a RG140. Mostly playing acoustic i created a few ideas that sound very good but got stuck somehow with at least 2 songs i have made. I don't know how it works exactly but : Would it be possible to get a (few) suggestion(s) or a judgement of one song from you? Though it's made for acoustic i'd like to put some elecrtic elements to it,solo pehaps? I realy have no clue.
Now ( finally ) got a few folks together to jam, wich i didnt do for to long, and quickly experiencing progress! Still can't keep up with you gnr.. gnr...Lol.
One other thing, well 2 things, since i was playing darts, i realy wanted to use a Satch song that fit pefectly; Cool #9. Because the perfect game of "501" is a nine dart finish...!!! But that's out of the question. I now play more guitar because music is about love, merging. Darts is also bout love but is more about division. Guitar never tires me, wel,l at the end of the day.....LoL. Just missed Chickenfoot last jear in Holland. Got the the messege on the day of y'r gig. I hope this wasn't the last time the formation was over here. Well in time i'll get me a loaf !! ;)
Thanks again Joe. If you wouldn't answer, it realy helped me getting things off my chest. Thanks Professor, you never ROCK alone...
Martin,
the Netherlands

The only reason I'm able to post on here is by clicking on the Hendrix link and logging in from there....otherwise, I'm in the home page that has a bunch of rectangles with X's and the links don't work.......Either that or I'm goin' crazy ;-(

Axe, GuitarVibes, Michelle, DoTheStu, Slanshroom, Cheese101, Mikesb, SkippyGirl, Castle49, Blue_Moon Alan, Canadian Cube, Glitzman, Dave, ............I feel lost in a huge universe of electronic shapes with no coherent picture of Joe or any graphics on satriani.com home page......I think something's wrong with my browser..........or I just need a break before I have a major break-down!
There's got to be some way out of this puzzlement?????

GG2: Calm down Millie. I couldn't get into the website (on my phone) a few times. I actually don't own a computer, so I use the computer from the business center of my apartment complex, one of the computer's from the library, or my phone that has Browser/Internet. Just give it some time, or try refreshing or rebooting. That usually works for me.

Michelle: I'm here for you. Your Mom will pull through. I'm the same as you: Being close to family. Earlier today, I called my Dad to wish him a Happy Birthday. My birthday will be arriving on the 24th, which is also my niece's birthday. It's great to share my birthday with her. This snowstorm will be arriving soon here (late into the wee hours of the morning). I would say that the schools will be delayed & closed, and there will be a number of slide-offs. It could end up being a "snowmageddon". Hope it won't be that way if it heads your way. I also found out that this snowstorm is a two-day thing. This two-day thing probably spells double-trouble. BTW, I'll be up to watch Jimmy; will you? If so, then maybe we can post for Skippy and the Aussies.
Looks like I might need to leave extra early in order to get to work tomorrow for the lunch & dinner hours.
Skippy, you're welcome. I thought maybe Youtube would air it.

Joe, thanks for the blue. Can't wait to see you perform on Jimmy tonight.
Do The Stu: Sorry, Austin; but no chat room for me tonight. How are things going for you in California? Hope it's going well for ya.
Peace Lily: Thanks for the post/link. Speaking of "successful" Joe having his line of guitars, my boss (for the guitar store that I work for) has his line of guitars as well. Sometime, I'll have a link so you and the others (including Joe) can check them out. He's had his line for about a couple of years now.
Grant

It was great talking to you tonight, Joe! Thanks for stopping by...
Highlights, for those who missed it:
- NYC is cold, and Joe had fun on the Jimmy Fallon show
- Living Color will be backing Joe on the Experience Hendrix tour
- The three songs they'll be playing are.........no, I'll keep this quiet for now. ;-) But one hint: "Strange beautiful grass of green..."
- An Australia tour doesn't look likely in 2010...Joe said he'd be "pretty much in the USA"
I'll start crossing my fingers for 2011...everyone down under deserves a tour.
More later...
...Austin...

Peace Lily: I will sometime. Glad you're curious about it.
Dream3: I thought Joe was mentioning both you and Skippy.
So far, way awesome. Joe's rocking out with the Roots on one of his baaddaassss guitars and (skull head strap). Jimmy talked about Joe's new Album of L.I.P and the Experienced Hendrix Tour.
