Kudos to Elton John. He may not be entirely right but at least he stands up for what he believes. Catholicism is archaic. And I was raised catholic.

JOE--Great to see you on here. Too bad windows isn't responding to the link you gave. Congratulations on "Come on Baby" being chosen by the Canadian skater Vaughn Chipeur.......beautiful skating to a beautiful, encouraging song. We wives need encouragement from our husbands quite often....especially these strange days.

Hi everyone...I'm back in my hotel now, after the Clapton / Beck show at MSG. My dad and I met up with axeshredderjc for dinner before the show; I'm glad that worked out.
I'll post more of a review later, but quickly: Jeff Beck is AMAZING. This was my second time seeing him...not that he didn't blow me away the first time, but it REALLY hit me tonight. He's the most "lyrical" guitar player I've ever seen, if that makes sense...even better than Satch, at least as far as that side of playing goes.
And he needs to do a G3 tour...hint, hint. ;-)
...Austin...

Hey Joe, it's been 7 and a half years since you came in Bulgaria... can't wait to see you again!!! By the way, I prepared some cool-looing your-style hats, so I want to send them to you, I hope your head size fits them :-)
How can I post something to you Joe?
Thanks for inspiring me again....

Happy B-day Pip.
Wonderful track by Jeff Beck, Live in Japan (with Jennifer Batten), great DVD
Interview with Jennifer Batten (had never seen her with regular hair :-)
What's your idea about a string damper? Most of our guitar heroes don't seem to need them. I like to use some damping while recording high gain, if I don't need open strings...
The Dutch government has collapsed over disagreements within the governing coalition on extending troop deployments in Afghanistan. The country's happy and relieved!

i tie a bandana around the neck if im recording something sometimes, or have a hair bobbin on the neck of my sa, it doesnt fully dampen the sound just mutes them slightly, its a happy medium
thats my thoughts

Hey Guys!
I'm a new member, fan here. I have played the guitar for nearly 6 years. I have never thought I will be here. 3-4 years ago when I saw Joe on Concert DVD I thought: Who is this crazy virtuoso man? I wasn't able to listen this type of music. But now everything has changed. Recently I learn Satriani's songs on my JS Ibanez and I have become a fan. Sorry for my english I'm from Hungary (Middle Europe). and I'm 22. Well, now that I introduced myself I just wanna say: good to be here :)

Thanks for reply Bluemoon. Hair-tie thingies work for me so far, 2 dampens more than 1, 3 dampens more than 2, etc, it's flexible.
Under the shower may get Xtra noize. Same in summer playing in front of a fan, it's almost like using the gizmotron, or how was that 10CC thing called.
How to remember effects settings. Pen and paper? The grey blubber in the head? Double-D assistant?

anikblues: I agree that Joe Bonamassa should be part of the next G3. His new CD Black Rock is being released March 23rd. If you're interested in getting it shipped 2 weeks early and with free shipping, you can pre-order it at the link above.
Hey Joe... What's your thoughts on Joe Bonamassa? Any chance on including him in an upcoming G3 tour? BTW ~ I'm the guy who got you the signed copies of his first couple of CDs. Keeping fingers crossed to see you guys play together one of these daze.

I guess in a way Joe was still giving lessons! I remember his articles from Guitar Player.I was originally a singer in a band for years until I heard Surfing then I picked up the guitar. I figure some day I will find a teacher until then I just try to figure things out on my own. My primary problem is I cant seem to get my left and right hand to play at the same speed.
