WOo Hoo! I just learned the intro for crazy train! That part with the rapid picking on the open A is the hardest!
Hope my neighbors like Crazy Train...they're gonna be hearing it for the next week. Over, and over, and over......and over...

Well it looks like I will miss Chickenfoot cuz Debbie's Aunt and Uncle are coming for a visit. If it was an evening with Joe , I would probably risk divorce to go lol. Joe's the best!

Freddy and Shannon, I'll be thinking about both of you today. Life takes some crazy turns now and then, we just have to go with it, and do the best we can. Maybe we will met up again and create some new memories. I'd like that... Joe

I did make it to Sammy's show in Oakland last night. The Waboritas were great! It was so cool to see them in an arena. I jumped on at the end and played "Sexy Little Thing" with them... Aerosmith rocked the place with a great show. Brad Whitford wore Chickenfoot shirt on stage! All in all a fantastic night... Joe

Argh, I was thinking of going up to Oakland to see Aerosmith...maybe I should have. Not only would I have seen Joe, but Sammy played a Montrose medley including one of my favorite SH-related songs, Space Station #5.
I'm seeing Sammy at the OC Fair on 8/4...maybe that will still be in the set then.
Sammy and the Wabos - Space Station #5, Rock Candy, Bad Motor Scooter
Satch with Sammy and the Wabos - Sexy Little Thing

Freddy, I had tears running down my face reading your post, then to read Shannon;s post after that - geez man! God Bless you both. You have a lot of people sending love and good vibes your way. I know the new memories you make together will be amazing, and I know Joe Satriani will be placed in your path again.
Friend do it this way - that is,
whatever you do in life,
do the very best you can
with both your heart and mind.
And if you do it that way,
the Power Of The Universe
will come to your assistance,
if your heart and mind are in Unity.
When one sits in the Hoop Of The People,
one must be responsible because
All of Creation is related.
And the hurt of one is the hurt of all.
And the honor of one is the honor of all.
And whatever we do effects everything in the universe.
If you do it that way - that is,
if you truly join your heart and mind
as One - whatever you ask for,
that's the Way It's Going To Be.

Hawk Guy - thanks for the link to the Oakland show, good to see Joe back with Sammy again. Although I notice Sammy was late and missed the start of the song but he'd done a whole show by then I think, maybe he was a bit spent.
I LOL at the start when he said "Joe you should eat something"!

Hey Joe, Ric here. Although I have been a fan of yours for many years and have learned so much from your guitar playing, and have been to many of your concerts. That has come to an end after seeing your views on the Arizona debate. This is coming about due to Americans not showing other Americans they have there back. I realize a lot of big time musicians have plenty of money and it is so easy for them to not care about what is happening to other Americans. I would like to believe you just have not read up on what's been going on down there in Arizona, just like I would like to believe Santa Clause is going to make everything alright. Americans are being murdered and made to live in fear and then when they finally adopt a law that is constitutional, and the same wording as the FEDs law, they must endure people like you, who are condemning them for wanting to protect American land, people, and tax dollars. It is a law everywhere I have ever been that you have Identification on your person. I am a proud American. If you are not, and are not willing to at least have the back of another American, You should just leave and be happy somewhere else. Actors, and musicians influence the uneducated masses and I understand that, but these are good people in Arizona that are just trying to protect them selves because the Government wont do a damn thing and then they have to contend with musicians. What a joke. Just do what you do so well. SHUT UP AND PLAY!!!

scubz, I also HATE that music and it's Exstasy fueled nonsense but at the end of the day anytime kids die when gathering to see music it is a black day indeed.... At least the world is now seeing and recognizing that it is NOT just rock and metal concerts where these incidents occur. Hopefully largefestival planners will learn something from this.....
