Got my new BC Communion CD/DVD in the mail yesterday and mistook it for another small package that I was expecting. It took me reading on Facebook that everyone was enjoying the album so much to realize that I should have received mine already, and it was lying on the kitchen table... ugh!
So, I'm off to give it a spin.. Anyone else listened to it yet?

When u wake up in the morning, u never know how yer day is going to go.....
At 11:30 this morning I got a call from Chris's house manager that he was in the ER in Grants Pass with severe chest pains which were getting worse by the minute. Talked to him briefly on the phone...he was in so much pain....grabbed my stuff, told a co-worker what was up and was out the door for the 2 hour drive over.
It was a long drive there.
Spoke to Chris a few times during the drive, he was very tearful and scared. Me too, scared.
By the time I got to Grants Pass, they had completed all their tests and released him home with some pain killers and muscle relaxers. His heart was fine (thank God) but it's still a mystery what's causing the pain. They talked about an "inflamed sternum" and possibly a pinched nerve and yet don't know for sure if either of those things is what's causing the pain or how it happened. Chest x-ray and blood work, and 2 EKG's were normal.
He was loopy but feeling a bit better (drugs) by the time I got to him....and hungry :) Took him out for lunch and just spent time with him, offered to bring him home with me for the weekend but he wanted to stay and try to work again on Friday. He's resting now and so I came back home. I hated to leave him.
It was a long drive home.

Ah, Tracie that's an awful scare for any parent. Glad he is "OK" so to speak and I hope they can tell you what the cause was soon. It's times like that you wish you had a helicopter right?
You're a good Mom Gunga Din.

Thanks guys....appreciate the support. It's probably the worst thing, when something is wrong with your child, no matter how old they are. Even my mom still worries about me :)
Just talked to him, he's pretty sleepy from the meds but they are helping quite a bit. He just texted me too, to say goodnight and thanks for coming over to be with him...*sniff*
So anyways....here's the third video, Chris took it with the Flip thingie, did a good job but dint get the whole song...
Aaron Hagar and the Waboritas opening for Chickenfoot
Tomorrow is my parents' 66th wedding anniversary :) Taking them out to dinner, s'all they want and even that was a struggle to get them to agree to me paying!! PARENTS!! lol!
Thanks again guys, you all rock.....night!

And he also says thanks to all the great people on this message board that posted, he appreciates every one of you and is happy to be a part of such a caring community.
And from me, thanks Joe. Yer the best and we love ya.

Tracie- Hope that everything turns out well with Chris and that it turns out being nothing. He's way too young for it to be anything other than nothing!
On a musical note:
Haven't made it around to listening to the BCC album yet, but I've watched the DVD that came with it; and I must say that so far it has not met my expectations. Much like our Joe with CF, I pretty much bought this because I am a big fan of Joe Bonamassa and wanted to hear him in a "band".
There are live videos of two songs on the DVD, and it almost felt to me like Joe left enough room in his playing for there to be another guitarist on stage with them. It also felt like I was re-living the CF album release again while watching some of these interviews; the band members kept talking about how busy each individual was and how they had to work around each other's schedules and the term supergroup was knocked down a time or two as well. I definitely prefer Chad's drumming to that of Jason Bonham. I wouldn't drive 10 hours to see these guys, I'll put it that way!

Hey Joe,
Superhuge fan(antic) here ... one among many in Winnipeg, Canada. I see the 2nd leg of your upcoming tour starts in January 2011 in "Western Canada" starting in Calgary and moves west from there. Problem is you're not quite west enough. Joe you got to try to fudge in a show date in Winnipeg 800 miles east of of Calgary.
You last played Winnipeg in Oct 2008 to a sold out crowd of 1500 at the Walker Theatre. What a show! You could easily sell out the Centenial Concert Hall (http://centennialconcerthall.com) with seating capcity of 2300 or simply come back to the Walker Theatre.
Would you consider looking into it?

Never noticed how dynamically produced the Self titled album was, just seen the Down, down, down soundwave... Very cool, wish more music produced liek this nowadays, instead of maxing absolutely every sound!
