Yo Joe, this is my first time posting to reach out to you. My oldest son Andrew turned me onto your music and I have been hooked ever since and have been to many shows with my son's in Tampa Bay. The reason I am posting I am posting is my son Andrew is in the US Army stationed in Calif. in a remote base Camp Roberts, recently you jammed in the state and Andrews wife Shannon saved up the dough to treat Andrew for a anniversary gift. Shannon jumped thru hoops to get front row seats knowing you are Andrew's favorite musician and paid a huge premium to get them. Needless to say it's not like they rolling in cash as Shannon is also going to college, they had to travel about 4 hours to get to the venue, they were so pumped. Now Joe when they wet to enter into the venue, Shannon was turned away because she was not 21, she is 20 ~ they were crushed, angry and so upset after all the planning, the travel time just to be turned away. What a bummer to spend all the hard earned money for the show, gas to get there and back and never here a string stretch. It would seem to me the ticker sellers need to make this known to the buyers. I felt so disappointed for Shannon as she did so much to surprise Andrew with this gift and for their anniversary ~ they just wanted to see your show. I would be very cool if some how you could find 2.3 minutes of your day to reach out a to the Andrew with a call, text or email. As a really good dude who serves us all, paid very little my most standards in comparision to the private sector, he and Shannon deserve the respect considering the dough wasted and the heart break of this young couple, hell man they just wanted to rock like crazy. :)
I will be at your show at Ruth Eckerd Hall on 12-4-2010 with my other son Christian ( I call Binkers) to celebrate his 17th birthday (his is 12-8) and for sure he is so excited, seems like most the time I walk by his room I hear your music. This will be very special for him as he plays also and admires your skills to no end. We will be in row "T" seats 52 & 53 if you feel like throwing out a birthday kudos, a pick or just a boo ya.
Anyway we are all admirers and I / we understand the gig in Calif. is something you have no control over so no bad vibes are sent your way, I just wanted to throw it out to you.
I wish I could fly Andrew and Shannon back here to Tampa Bay to treat them to your show here, man would that be awesome. The fact is Andrew has a high level "Top Secret" clearance in the Army and simply can't up and bolt when some others can ~ they need him for all of us.
Well anyway, I don't know if this going to be just a excercise of my crappy typing skills or not, but I feel if was worth a try, my son's are worth so much to me a and to see them happy I would type till the cows come home. I look forward to rockin out at the show in Tampa Bay with Binkers and I know he is bragging his ass off to his friends about going. See you then, David. aka ~ Midknight
Contact me back and I will hook you up with Andrews #.

Midknight - just curious, was this the Napa show back in October they tried to attend? I just checked the Uptown Theatre's website, and there are multiple references of 21+over on the site.
Uptown Theatre
I do feel bad for them of course, but I'm not sure how much clearer the venue's website could be? I think LiveNation's site usually mentions age restrictions too.
I guess we may all be that much more cautious now... I know I will be as I have my young children usually with me.
Enjoy the show with your son in December. It's cool you are so close to your kids.

Much as I hate Axehole... Chinese Democracy is a flipping unbelievably good album. I've never been much of a G'n'R fan at all, & I wasn't expecting much from CD, but if you listen to that album right through with guitar (and guitar and drums) only in mind you will see that it is absolutely fricking brilliant. Of course I am biased, as Buckethead does almost all of the guitar and Brain (Brian Mantia) does most of the drums, together they are a force to be reckoned with. I LOVE the album, and I hate Axehole as much as anyone.
Has everyone seen the video of Axeholio getting empties chucked at him and "bottled" off stage? Classic. Could not have happened to a nicer guy. Is it just me or does Axeholio sound almost exactly like Dr. Rockso? LOL! Also, I love the "fuck off" guy, classic. Hats off to you Ireland!
smooches,

Words...
Once again, I see it falling all apart again,
Dissolved to how it once began… I see blue.
Torn to shreds, I long to fall in love and love again,
With this world of mine again… I feel blue.
Why have life when life isn’t free?
Given time, they won’t let you breathe.
Money and control, they take until you bleed.
Power and disease, they choose the herd to breed.

LITTLE FIREFIGHTER
If you don't laugh at this one, you're not breathing …. .
A firefighter was working on the engine outside the Station, when he noticed
a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and
a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.
The girl was wearing a firefighter’s helmet.
The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat.
The firefighter walked over to take a closer look.
'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the firefighter said with admiration.
'Thanks,' the girl replied. The firefighter looked a little closer. The girl had
tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.
'Little partner,' the firefighter said, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your
rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go
faster. '
The little girl replied thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but
then I wouldn't have a siren.'

I feel very bad for the cat - OUCH !!
With the email that I received the story in, a picture of a cat was at the end of the story - cat was either yawning or crying (nothing tied to the cat).

Zinc Master - good one!
Joe - welcome home mate
All US (and Canadian?) peeps - happy thanksgiving thing. I spoke this morning with a friend who moved from Melbourne to Princeton and she said there is a 4 day weekend there, and people are sending round nice little "thank you for being my friend" written messages and they are all really heartfelt. She is doing her first Thanksgiving dinner tonight and then going to NY for the weekend *sigh* sounds like fun.
