Joe last night in Atlanta: Was a great gig. Actually its been a long time since i enjoyed a Satriani gig as much. Beautiful set list spanning the early stuff from Not of this Earth to several from The Extremist album - War, Friends and of course the newer material.
I REALLY enjoyed it.
I was thinking it is my 20th year since first attending and meeting Joe in Scotland in 1990. I still wear my 1990 T-shirt to every gig. I guess I have seen and met Joe at least 15 times and he is always so humble and nice. His gigs have changed in 20 years. A bit more formal than they once were but his talent and niceness is always evident.

CoyoteWV,
I just had same problem for Atlanta show. You can e-mail Lindsay the day of the show at satrianivip@gmail.com. I got a response from her quickly and found out our meet and greet met at 4pm (show started at 8pm). I was going to show up early but not that early so I would've missed it if I hadn't gotten her e-mail. Hope that helps.

castle49- You can still watch the full episode of Leno
HERE
Edit- DeathcubeK- Oh I agree ...Jeff Beck is awesome & he can do what ever he wants. I am definitely not knocking him, maybe I am thinking of POP in the wrong context. Just didn't seem to fit in my mind but its all good. :-)

Ok, finally joining the fan club. Went to the show in Atlanta last night. Joe was AMAZING. And the setlist was good as well. By the way @FabLawyer of SBM, Joe didn't play Friends last night (would've been cool)... maybe you are thinking of Summer Song. Kind of wish he would've played Cryin' as well.
My favorite songs from last night were Flying In a Blue Dream, Memories, and Revelation.

btw, for those of us that know Roy Marchbank (Slanshroom) - he was honored to have the great James Byrd, himself credited by Yngwie, claim Roy as the greatest guitar player on Earth - in his opinion at least. Quite an honor. Of course its not true - but I guess James likes him that much.
I was in Spain until a few days ago delivering some guitars to Roy - one from James Byrd (Super Avianti) and the other a lovely Parker from our own Mike Blackburn.
The Byrd has such a lovely tone and it was amazing to watch Roy play it at lightning speed. Hopefully he'll record something with it before long.

One other piece of advice about the Club Joe tickets that I learned the hard way: If you are attending a General Admission show in an arena where there is a floor in front of the stage (like the one last night at Center Stage in Atlanta), DO NOT buy the "Premium" VIP tickets. You should either spring for the "Meet & Greet" or drop down to the regular tickets.
My wife and I bought the "Premium" VIP tickets thinking we would get to sit in the first 10 rows, but since it was standiing room in front of the stage, it was a waste of money. We paid $167/ticket and all we got was to get into the concert 10 minutes before the doors open. My wife and I both left work early so that we wouldn't be there after doors open (i.e. essentially transforming our Premium ticket into a regular GA ticket). We ended up sitting in seats behind the floor area (80 feet or so back from the stage). People who paid $45 for the non-premium tickets were strolling in over the next hour or so slowly filling in the seats around us (there were plenty of seats and plenty of room to stand in front of the stage). When it comes down to it, we would been sitting in the same spot had we bought the $45 tickets. The Premium ticket also gets you picks, strap, and poster from FedEx sometime after the show, but I didn't want that stuff (if you really want that stuff, you should just go buy it on Live Nation for less than $50).
I was jealous of everyone who did the "Meet and Greet". Everyone who came out said it was awesome! Hindsight, wish I had spent the $250 for the "Meet and Greet" tickets. I'm still debating on seeing Joe in one more city this tour so I can do that (or maybe I'll wait 'till next tour).
Was I the only stupid person who bought the Premium package instead of upgrading all the way to the "Meet and Greet"??

He played War, but not The Extremist. The songs he played from The Extremist were "War", "Why", and "Summer Song".

I clicked "like" on Facebook...I'd definitely be interested if the content could be downloaded (similar to how we can download the album podcasts through iTunes) so we can watch the videos/view the pics again in the future. I probably wouldn't pay anything to have web-only access to something that would eventually disappear.
I like "owning" things whenever possible. For another example, I never bought the song Ghosts through iTunes, but I'll be buying Joe's new "Essential" album because it means I'll have that song on CD--even though it's more expensive for me this way.
And Jon, Steve Vai did something similar to your idea on one of his past tours (2005, I think). A pro photographer followed him on the road and took pictures at every show. Fans could then go to a website and buy prints from the actual concert they were at. I thought that was a cool idea, although I didn't buy any at the time (I seem to remember them only selling prints that were framed, and I thought they were too expensive).
