Way to go Cube! Hopefully when I have a son, the mother will lets me name him Satch. or at least his middle name.
Kayla- its a local technical college so I pay by the class, 12 credits (about 4 classes) is full time student and last semester was $1800. this semester one of my classes was cancelled so tuition was only $1500 for 3 classes, but thats still a lot for me, If I do well in my classes I am guaranteed into the University of Wisconsin. That will cost a lot more, several thousand. So for the moment I am happy to pay $1800.
So the JS guitar will have to wait. $2000 is my whole years pay. but mark my words I will have one eventually.
I got $1200 when I graduated highschool for a JS guitar but I did the SMART (stupid) thing and spent it on college.

cheese101: haha Tracie, I've been slow cooking my keyboard overnight like a Turkey and basting it with the electron juices, lmao!!!! It tastes like crap no matter what I put on it, and the keys are even worse!! But I'm happy for Mike, he is representing us MA folks, and that makes me proud!! :-)
michelle: Got any leftovers to go along with my keyboard, lol, this is the worst thing I've ever eaten, and even our dog cookie will have nothing to do with it, and she'll even eat celery, haha! Lucky I have a spare keyboard to type my sorrow's on, lol! In retrospect, I realize why Mike got it, and I think the boyz knew who their decision was going to be from the get-go.... Mike just has this presence, the "look" and the confidence like no other drummer I have ever seen, and I should have know better. I was just hoping someone could topple him (especially Marco, but he was not the DT "serious" type), lol, but Mike is representing my hometown of MA, and that ROCKS!! \m/ And now I cant wait to hear the new DT album!! I'm sure it will be sick!!
....And now I eat another key while I watch Mike Mangini win.... Keyboards are not good for dinner, and they are not recommended for children under 12! ;-)
Btw, I wish they would have showed something about the call to Marco....

Cube- Congrats to your family!
Interesting that Joe would post about his use of pedals as I was just looking through some of his old setup pics yesterday. He was really a Boss man back in the day (at one point, at least). It's kind of cool to see how his pedal board has progressed along with his career, up to the point where he has his own signature effects.
Joe Have you ever thought of auctioning off an old piece of gear or two every year, or even just something that you've used for one tour (or one show!)? Even an old broken guitar neck that you once played would probably do well at an auction.
Guitarman77897- In the meantime you can do what I did... Just find a used JS100 on the cheap. I got a mint transp red for $300, spent a little extra and put a Mo' Joe and PAF Joe combo in it and put a hi-pass filter in the vol pot and it's one hell of a guitar now! Just saving up a little extra now to replace the LO (quality) TRS II trem that is in it with something a little nicer. I'd love to have a Japanese Ibanez, but this will work just fine for me! At least until that Hendrix prototype comes out sometime this year???

What a great day! After a very long day, I finally have time to get online and say...
CONGRATS AND MUCH LOVE TO THE LONDON FAAAAAMILY!
Ahh man, that just makes my heart so happy!
Mikey, my hubs sent me a text message this morning to tell me Mangini was in. First thing I thought of was your big smile with keys for teeth. lol! Big lettered teeth that spell LMAO!
Alexandre. so glad to see you post again! Nice to hear that your beautiful daughter is getting so big. They grow up so fast. I hope everything is well with you and your family. Only a few more days until we pick up our new baby from the cat rescue foster mom. He's a Manx kitten named Loki. He'll be 9 weeks old next Saturday. He'll add to our family and be kitty #3. Did you get another dog since Hadji passed? I know a baby and a puppy are a lot to handle, so maybe Matilde is enough for now? Hugs!
This post has been on hold for about 2 hours while a friend has chewed my ear to pieces over the phone. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice yourself for a bit to make someone else feel better. My head is numb. lol!
I've had the DT vid on stand-by the whole time! lol! Time to watch it!
edit: wow, that vid took about 30 minutes to load, and kept stopping every few seconds - but so worth watching Mangini's reaction! Nice they showed a bit of Portnoy in there too.

alexandrecaetano: Thank's brotha, we are having a relaxing weekend, and I can't wait to hear what DT sounds like with Mike!! Have a wonderful weekend with the family and Warm Regards. :-)
death cube k: Congrats again /\/\R|<, and my first daughter was a C-section..same thing. The nurses had Mommy up and walking the next morning..it helps heal quicker.
michelle: haha, LMAO is right, and I have written on the blackboard Mike Mangini is the winner 1,000 times so I wont forget, and I am really looking forward to what they sound like!! I am thinking in the realm of Train Of Thought Honor Thy Father!!.... This song (and album) really gets me going cause it is about the heaviest they get, and Mike is just inhuman on this!!!! Love the riffage in the intro....Sick, sick, sick!!!!
Btw michelle, high-five to your hubs for having great musical taste! Compai! :-)
