I saw Return To Forever IV and Zappa Plays Zappa last night...amazing, as expected. Thanks to everyone here for the recommendation. Tonight, it's the Yardbirds (well, Dreja, McCarty, and a new band), and then Saturday and Sunday it's the first two shows of Dream Theater's US tour. I'll have more to share upon returning... :-)

Yep, I said RTF & ZPZ was amazing! Glad you thought so too.
Very curious to hear what you think about DT minus MP. Mangini is awesome, so I'm sure it will be a kick ass show.

Skippy, you'll be "skippin' right over me here in PA! I'm thinking that's how you got your name. lol! Sorry the weather is so crappy while you're here. We had to wear jackets over the weekend, and now it's so humid again. So, what did you visit in Washington? Lots of great stuff to see there!
Enjoying "The Making of Chickenfoot III" vids!

Shel - we went everywhere! And our feet are so sore haha. We also have bad jetlag but its getting better. We went to the museum of natural history, the museum of American history (fab), the American Indian museum (fab) and the Newseum (awesome, Austin you'd love it). Hubs went to the Postal Museum whilst we 3 girls shopped at Union Stn. Did a night tour of the monuments which was lovely, especially the Lincoln Memorial. About to get the train now to NYC so yes I'll shoot right past you. There's only been a little drizzle in DC so not bad.
Its our turn for a tour Joe!!

diggin the "letters" tune..it's as real as it gets..not to mention Joe's insane squeal at the end of the solo. I can't help but wonder if Sammy will ever play guitar on a Chick project..it would be cool to see them trade...no?

Skippy, sounds like you hit all the great sites...but did you see this? It's so cool! My aunt & uncle showed it to us when they took us on a DC tour one time. The museums are killer! I love going there, but haven't been in a long time. We used to go to DC all the time when I was a kid. I have fond memories of long lines and lots of sunburn. lol! Don't ask me what the lines were for? I just remember standing in a lot of them in the sun. lol!
The Lincoln Memorial is so cool! Such rich history in DC!
Awesoooome!
