Welcome eventide...do we call u even....tide...oorrr....another name??U'll find characters of all kinds here, and sometimes we get passionate about things other than Joe and his music. But it's all good :)
Congrats on being one of the 10 for the Master class, Joe is amazing and wonderful and a fantastic teacher...but even better than that, he's a wonderful hooman bean. We love him to pieces!
Mr Matt King, hi5 dude, lol! Glad you got to have this experience, plus made it out there and back in one piece...bonus! I understand congrats are also in order on an engagement? Awesome :)
Lots more dates for the European tour showing up, with more to come I hear. As Mr. Burns would say (channeling the voice)..."exxxcellent....."

Add another Dave to the page. Welcome Dave!
It takes a minute, but the cam finally lands on Joe. I can't believe that was 14 years ago. I came onto t2j during the first G3 and I remember Joe giving us details for what to expect from the new album - Crystal Planet. Any dinosaurs out there remember that? The Time Machine background that took forever to load, and went on forever. lol! Pages? We didn't need no stinkin' pages!

I just got back from having dinner in West Hollywood with matt king, his fiance, and Evan (from way back in the Un-List days). It was great to talk about Satch and music and everything for a few hours...thanks guys!
Aaand I got to see (and strum!) the SWTA guitar that he won as part of the contest. Pretty cool...
He's headed home dark and early tomorrow morning...I'm sure he'll have more say about his week soon enough...
...Austin...

Tracy! Thanks :) I am indeed engaged to an amazing woman.
Now...last night was probably one of the coolest dinners I've ever had. Had dinner with Austin Lewis, Evan Brown, and of course my fiancé and her friend. One thing I have to say...there is no better fan community than Joe's. We had an awesome time talking guitar, satch, and even got to catch up on our own lives.
Satriani's humbleness and kindness to his fans absolutely runs down into the way the fans treat each other. I've never had a bad experience with this community and I'm just glad that 13 years later its still in tact.

Matt, it was a life-changing experience! Then again, so was listening to Surfing back in the '80s!!!!! Satch is a great inspiration as a musician and as a human being.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys

David, for me it was Crystal Planet in 98'. Changed my life :) that record alone pushed me to believe I could actually do this guitar thing. Haha
Chelle, Evan sure was from Philly. We're damn near 30...
"Time flies" tears for fears- head over heels ;)
I don't have any photos myself. To be honest I'm quite camera shy these days haha!! I really should have taken some though. Was a rare occasion...

Anyone else remember the old school satch sites? Mak and Evans Satriani fan site had those amazing factoids. Morkie, Frank Taylor was probably the first dude to post a satch tab on the net. I can't get over how old I am now :) 30...getting married. Idle thoughts really. I'm a bit jet lagged but I figured you folks never mind a thought or two!

Wow! The first wave of youngin's are 30!
I just happened to see this vid come across my twitter feed, and it left me speechless and feeling sick. Please keep the victims of Hurricane Sandy in your thoughts and prayers. This is Staten Island.
Unbelievable.

MJK, the half a house, flood line on the wall, the guys photos, and his dog - those things have been in my head all day. Unimaginable horror and trauma. God bless everyone affected, and everyone who's helped and said prayers.
Veteran's Day/Remembrance Day - God Bless those who serve to protect us!
The Wayback Machine. That's what Joe's page used to look like. Click on "comments" to see the Time Machine background - and see if you can find a post from Joe's sister Marian :-) LOL!
Here's the archive
